Cheesesteaks are for real here. Online ordering was clear and simple, allowing you to build the sandwich from the ground up. We ordered a plain cheesesteak with American cheese and another with onions, hot and sweet peppers, and provolone. We arrived at the market a few minutes early which gave us enough time to impulse buy chips and drinks. The space was clean and well-organized. The app dinged to let us know our order was ready well before the 20 minute lead time. The kids working there were attentive and friendly. Now for the food: the meat was high quality and tender, with no stringiness. The cheese to meat ratio was perfect, and the peppers added a bright contrast to the savoriness of the meat and onions. I love that they offer the hoagie in a bowl ("naked") option. The Santa Fe turkey and Swiss were very tasty and high quality. It was also dressed well with my choices of oil, vinegar, and Cajun Mayo. I would up this to 5 stars if they chopped the turkey, cheese, and toppings! My to-go bag also did not have utensils or napkins. I assume I I could have picked them up in another section of the shop. However, it was my first time there and I figured that the person that handed me my order would have told me to pick up a fork and napkins in so and so location in the shop if needed. As others have said, this delightful little place offers a bunch of sundries and some delicious sandwiches. Had to get the sandwich made with a pickle instead of a bun, and it did not disappoint. Solid deli for the Jersey shore area. They also offer pickle sandwiches instead of bread which is cool. Sandwiches are a good size and tasty. They get really busy so waits can be long/service slow but you can also call in your order to avoid that! There is a little market within the deli which has produce, snacks, beverages and more. read more

We first discovered Blitz's when we used to pack 13 people into a 3 bedroom rental and needed to feed all of the hungry mouths. Back then it was a godsend to get a few Blitz Buckets of Fried Chicken. We could reduce those hot buckets in minutes to a pile of clean bones! All of the young kids would be happy with Blitz for dinner. Now the kids are grown anf it's three of us looking for sandwiches at Blitz's. And by sandwiches I don't mean wimpy Subs. I mean fresh meat-laden chunks with toppings sandwiches. A lot I guess changes in two years. Got the columella and it was a complete 180 from my previous review. They forgot the roasted red peppers and ordering online doesnt give the option to add Mayo so I put it in the additional notes section, but the Mayo was also forgotten. We ordered another sandwich with an additional note which was followed so I don't know why mine wasn't read. Also it seemed less full than before. read more

The employee at the register was rude, and rolled her eyes at my teenage sister who handed her a crumpled bill. Also did not like the lack of price transparency. There were no prices listed for the ice cream, so I bought a pint that I normally would have passed on had I seen the price. I've been going to Blitz's since I was born basically and it is without a doubt my favorite sandwich spot on the Jersey Shore. Whether it's a hoagie, buffalo chicken cheesesteak, pork roll egg and cheese, or a pickle hoagie (my new fave the past couple of years!!) it's always reliably delicious. Ordered dinner from Blitz's on our first night in Ocean City. What a disappointment!!!!!! The bucket of fried shrimp was inedible. They were fried beyond recognition. I am lucky that I did not break a tooth, not exaggerating. An order of chicken tenders were basically hard fried breadcrumbs with barely a hint of chicken inside. The meatball parm was ok if you like your meatballs to be gray when bit into. The other two orders were ok. Fries were good but overall 100% waste of money. we were left with empty stomachs and empty wallet. read more

This morning I tried Blitz's breakfast sandwich (bacon, egg and cheese) and it was delicious. The quality was like when your mom or dad makes breakfast- homey and tasty and not artificial like McDonald's or Wawa. I also tried the pumpkin spice coffee and it's all thumbs up from me. We waited about 50 minutes for 3 cold sandwiches and some fries. There was another girl who was also waiting for one sandwich for 30 minutes. The lady at the front told us it was almost out, we waited 20 minutes more and eventually i told them we need to leave and the food has been taking forever. Eventually after around 50 minutes we got the food being the only ones left in there, we at least got the French fries that were sitting for 10 minutes on the shelf for free. Food was good, not worth almost an hour wait but last year the food was quick and great, not sure if there is new workers but it was much more efficient last year. read more

When I think about the summers in Ocean City, Blitz's market on 21st and 34th come to my mind. I have grown up going to 21st Blitz's market. The people there have been amazing and so respectful to me even when I was very young. You can really tell all the employees care about the customers and the food they make.
