    I love this store. At first the name threw me off but the furniture and items in the store are very…read morenice a great quality and the prices are amazing. There outlets section in the rear of the store is absolutely amazing. I've gotten some great deals there and I will continue shopping there. Update Oct 26, 2018 I was amazed when I first started shopping at Bob's and that has not changed as far as the outlet section of the store. The retail section of the store also had great prices however, they stick it to you with the delivery charges. Their prices are cheaper than Ashley furniture, Art Van, The Home Place and other stores but when they add in delivery charges you will end up paying more for your furniture than most places. The kicker is they charge based on how much you spend. Example: If you purchase a sectional for $1,700 the delivery amount is $300 but if you purchase a sectional that is the exact same size but cost more, your delivery charge goes up and there is no cap on the delivery charges. I will continue shopping there but only in the outlet section.

Text at 6:06 a.m. this morning: "TODAY'S THE DAY! Your merchandise is out for delivery & estimated to arrive between 09:45 AM - 12:45 PM." 1:00 comes and goes. Nothing. 2:00 comes and goes. Nothing. 2:45, I text back yesterday's text that invited questions. "Where are you." Response: You are schedule for tomorrow. Wait, I was scheduled for today and I have the texts to prove it.; Response: Delivery scheduled: May 21, between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The tracking link provided DOES NOT WORK. As I continue to wait to get an update, I get: 2:49 p.m.: "I'm sorry to inform you that the item could not be delivered today due to an unforeseen situation at the warehouse." Offer to reschedule for next week on the 27th, 28th, 29th, or 30th. But WHY has it been delayed? Why didn't anybody call me. Been sitting around since 9:45 [due to this morning's text] and now it's FIVE HOURS LATER and 2 hours past the latest time promised. I should get a discount, right? Ummm, we can't give you a discount until after we deliver the chair and then we can "evaluate the entire situation further." What kind of idiot would agree to let Bob's "evaluate the entire situation further" AFTER you've already allowed them to deliver it [at a charge of $69.99]? Guess they deal with idiots all the time. "I want to talk to the store manager." Response: Call the store. So I call Bob's in Merrillville. After two operators and 16 minutes total on hold, Jessie comes on. At least she has an answer: They're having problems at the local warehouse and your chair is coming from Ohio. So why didn't someone contact us? Ummmm, sorry, those computer texts are from a different division of the company. WHAAATTT? So you send me a text YESTERDAY promising delivery between 11 and 2, and then you send one at 6 this morning promising delivery between 9:45 and 12:45, but NOBODY can text or call and say . . . sorry, can't make it today? And the links that supposedly take you to a tracking page for your delivery truck take you to a page that says "Delivery Tracking Not Available?" You think Jessie offers any discount? Any upgrade? A coupon for a White Castle? Nope. Just a "we're sorry" and "I see we can reschedule you for next week." Ummm, no thanks. CANCELED. Bob's will never see us again.

    Went to buy a bed today, I am wheelchair bound and use a service dog. My service animal was not…read moreallowed in the store . Even though I explained to Wally that it's against federal law to ban the animal who is not only certified but well trained, well behaved and under control. While he was apologetic, he still would not allow us in the store and would not service us. I rate this store no stars. Poorly informed, no service, no sale. I will not recommend this store to others in the area and will report it to the ADA. Janine S.
