I went for a pedicure, and the woman who was working on me had little to no experience. It was frustrating because she knew no English, and had to keep stopping other staff to ask what I was trying to tell her. I had a previous set of gel polish, and she was just trying to cover over without removing the old. My shorts were drenched. I had the worst and shortest leg massage ever for a luxury pedicure. I'm going to echo some of what I've read recently. What any luck an owner will read this and see that how things went today had a direct impact on how I tipped. Called at noon to see if I could get in at 5 and of course I could. Got there at 5:02 and got "can I help you" no hello or anything else. I said I had an appointment and got" pick a color" with not another word spoken to me until 5:30! I was looking for my keys to leave when someone finally came over. My manicure seems fine so I gave the technician more than I'd planned to because I was so mad. Had a great experience here! Got a gel mani and regular pedicure. Linh is a GREAT technician and very nice lady, too. The service was kind, gentle, and friendly. Manis and pedis include a paraffin wax treatment which was really cool. The atmosphere is clean and comforting and LOTS of gel colors and regular colors to choose from. The spa pedi chairs were really nice too! They even have some for kids!! This is a very nice nail salon and I have been to TONS of them across the country- this one is GOOD. Five days in, my nails still look amazing! My mom and sister go here pretty often and they love it, too. If I lived in the area, this would be my go-to nail salon. Black women; find another shop. Let's start with the manager, Tracey, who sits closest to the door and only greets white customers. (I encourage you to read the google reviews from other Black patrons) I kid you not, when Black women walk in the door, she looks up without saying anything and goes right back to whatever she's doing. A white woman enters and it's "hi, how can I help you". I ignored this when I shouldn't have because I didn't have to deal with her and up until my most recent visit, the other women were "okay". Yes I know, my fault! And I don't know what type of scam she's running but there have been several times where she's insisted that I pay them through HER cash app instead of the shop's register. Very sketchy. This past Friday I went in for a take off and full set. Judy does my nails, ASKS me what shape I want. I say square, she replies, you should do coffin, I say, I want square. She INSISTS, I do coffin because it'll" look so much better ". I say okay, not knowing there is an upcharge for this because she didn't state that. We finish but my nails are blocky and VERY SQUARE, no coffin in sight. I proceed to pay and am told it's 60.00, for the take off, acrylic full set (no gel powder) and COFFIN shape. Im questioning this because 1. I didn't want turn coffin shape and 2. It wasn't stated that there would be an up charge and 3. MY NAILS ARE BLOCKY AND SQUARE. I'm in a hurry that day but I returned the next and requested that my nails are either shaped for what I was told I was paying for (coffin) or a refund. This is when the problems began. Judy states that she didn't charge me for the coffin shape although I AND TRACEY heard her explicitly state that my nails were 60 because of the shape. We get into a full blown argument because I'm then told if I want the coffin shape I previously paid for I would need to pay an additional fee for it. I can't make this up. Tracey, the manager, instead of professionally addressing a customer's concerns, tells me "there's nothing wrong with my nails" and that they should have charged me more although they both acknowledged that the nails were square not coffin. The 60.00 wouldn't have been a big deal had I received what I was told I paid for! There was a lot more said, complete and utter disrespect and disregard and I've been going here for over a year. I stopped in on a Thursday night after another salon telling me to come back in an hour and a half. I waited about 10 minutes at De Paris Nails and got a gel manicure. It was timely, my nail tech was very nice, and my nails look beautiful! From the outside this salon looks tiny, the inside is very spacious and has a nice comfortable waiting area. While I did not have my son with me, the employees acknowledged and interacted with the children in the salon in a caring and professional manner. If I could give 0 stars I would. I was left waiting 45 minutes for a gel manicure (which would have been fine, although I was told there was no wait time). There was absolutely zero communication. I was sitting in a chair waiting to get started and saw that a woman who arrived after me was served before me. This experience combined with the extremely uninviting & bitchy attitude from the owner led me to up and leave before receiving my service. Customer service is an essential element to the experience that customers have at your salon - the quality of work does not even matter if the guest does not feel welcome and as though they are a priority. I have frequented this salon on several occasions with mixed satisfaction. In the past I had been seated in the pedicure chair and left for nearly an hour but the pedicure was decent. However, Today cemented the fact that I will never return. When I entered I was not greeted and felt invisible, even though staff was right there I had to ask for help and was met with attitude, when asking for a pedi i was told to pick a color and sit down to wait. I'm a regular customer there, I get fills every 3-4 weeks. Last time I went it the nail technician Quy did my nails. She did a great job filling them in and the shape, but when it came to the gel top coat everything was messy and "goopy". I'm the type of person who doesn't usually say anything, so I paid and left. I was dissatisfied with my nails so I went back a couple of hours later. The manager Tracy took care of me and did a great job on my nails. Another really talented and fast nail technician is Judy. Yesterday was it. I've been here a lot over the years and the customer service has never been. Great and today I witness something rude. A dissatisfied customer came in with four broken gel nails that have only been done for 6 days. She explained (and had plenty of proofs)how she had not done anything new at work and she's always gotten them this length. She lets them know she does not want them fixed. She wants them taken off. You can clearly see her nails were freshly done and would need to be soaked off. They left her sitting there for 20 minutes. I stopped my tech. and asked did she want to get her soak started, I could wait. She said nope that's someone else client. That did not make sense to me. They gave that girl ATTITUDES from all ends. Hard time. It's like they wanted her to just walk out. Made her feel real shitty. Also charged her $37 when her fresh full set was $35. I agreed with that customer. That math isn't right. After that I did not tip them. Nor will I ever go back. There work isn't great enough to treat people like shit. Work harder on your gel lay. I would give less stars but they won't let me. I went into the salon on a Sunday around 4PM. All the technicians were busy, but they told me it would be about 10 minutes for my pedicure. About 15 minutes after I walked in, another woman came in to see if she could get a pedicure as well. They told her she'd have to wait a few minutes. A minute later, they were taking her back for her pedicure - while I still sat there waiting. So, I waited 15 minutes for them to take someone in line ahead of me. I walked out. One of the technicians came out after me and asked why I was leaving - I told her because I didn't appreciate that they took someone else ahead of me. She told me never to come back. Classy. I went in with a bridal party group, when we made the appointments we were assured there would be enough nail techs on to handle the 5 of us plus any additional customers. Unfortunately there was not, and we were rushed through our mani's and pedi's. From 3 feet away my gel french manicure looks great. Up close it is uneven and messy looking. The real reason for my review is to warn against the paraffin wax. It was scalding hot. I've had dozens of paraffin treatments, and none have ever caused this much burning pain. I understand that it needs to be hot, but it should not be boiling!!! read more

My mom and I visited De Paris Nails on Friday, April 22nd at around opening time. (Approx 10:05 AM) We requested two pedicures at the time and had a small amount of wait time in the chairs in the waiting area before we were called back as they had two bowls ready for us. We both sat down with our colors and waited another 5 minutes before someone came over to start my moms pedicure. I continued to wait hoping that they would be able to start mine soon. As my moms pedicure progressed, I continued to wait; no staff even acknowledged my presence. I sat and I sat waiting to start my pedicure, and as it became clear that no one was going to tell me what was going on and that my mother was going to be done with her pedicure far before anyone would get to me, I made the decision to leave. At this point, we were 40+ minutes into sitting there; still no staff even tried to talk to me, and my experience had been completely ruined. There was a complete lack of customer service and a complete lack of the ability to know how long your services would take. If they didn't have time, we should not have been placed in chairs. Love my color they have a large selection as far as this is concerned. However every time I go in (which is once in awhile based on every experience) the owner never greets you with a smiling face. She stares at people as if she dont care to keep you comming back. Im insure if their products are as spendy as their interior design. Today 3/4/17. If anyone knows me, then you know I visit the nail salon once month, it has been in my budget for over 20 years. I have referred everyone I know who has inquired about my nails to this salon, I have encouraged, promoted and transported others to De Paris Nails on West Broadway in Crystal MN (Keep in mind, I have been patronizing this shop for over 10 years). I HAVE NOT ONLY PROMOTED THIS BUSINESS TO OTHERS, I HAVE PURCHASED POLISHES, LOTIONS, CREAMS AND OTHER MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS. My mother and I make it a point to visit the salon monthly..... my mother lives in S Mpls, I live in Brooklyn Park, I get up early drive to S Mpls to pick up my mother, and then back to Crystal to patron this establishment. This morning I visited the shop, didn't make and appointment, so I was at the shop at 9:20 for my regular Fill, Pedi and Brow wax, mind you I had choir rehearsal at 11 am, therefore, I arrived early, I was able to get my Pedi, but it took the young lady an hour, so I was concerned that if I let them get started on my nails, it would make me late for rehearsal. I decided I would pay for all my monthly services, and advised that I will return at 1:30 after rehearsal. I returned to the shop at 1:20, polished selected and ready to complete my services, Of course by now, the salon was crowded on a Saturday afternoon, which is why I made sure to advise them of my return time, so I would not have to wait. I checked in with Tracy to let her know I was back, so that she could appoint someone to finish my services, took a seat only to witness her seat others before, when I commented to her, she responded "they have been waiting for over an hour", I then reminded her that I made a return appointment for 1:30 and that my services were already paid for. As a christian, If y'all saw my morning post, you know I asked the Lord to guide my feet, my thought, my heart and my TONGUE! So..... I sit patiently, waiting for her to appoint someone to complete my services, an hour and 10 minutes later, she finally tells me where I can sit to get my services done, Mind you its 2:35 pm, I started this process at 9:20 am. So, I inform the the nail tech of the colors I selected, but notice that she does not seem to at all happy that I am sitting in her chair, she proceeds to do my nails and then asks me if I already paid, I informed her that yes, I've already paid, and asked her if she would like to see my receipt... of course, she replied "No its okay", I finally get my nails and brows done, but its now 3:45 pm!!!!!!! I started this at 9:20 this morning!!!!!!! Now, I know I didn't have to go into all that detail, but I wanted to give you some clarity about why I am posting this on Social Media, which I would not normally do, but today's incident just took me to another level. Worst customer service EVER. So I had a lady ATTEMPT to do me a French tip mani...it was so sloppy, the lines were crooked and jaggedy. She didn't even "clean it up" which means to chisel out the French tip (what you pay the extra $5 for) The whole mani got even more sloppier when customers came through the doors; she was filing my nails without even LOOKING and began talking to them. While I waited for my crappy mani to dry she tells me it's time to pay but clearly my nails weren't dry so I dented the polish which I asked her to fix due to her premature judgement call. She layers on more white and now the mani just looked trashyyy. She even SPILLED a few drops of white polish on my leggings and just walked away I'm sitting there like ?!?!? What a fail.
