I got my nails done a couple of weeks ago. I usually don't get them done because its just too much maintenance for me. But a friend wanted to do a girls day, so what the heck, right? Well the nail technician did them too long and the acrylic was sooo thick. A couple days later I even had to go to another salon just to file them down because they were so long. Today, I come back to just get the darn things taken off, plus my natural nails were growing in. Helen, a different nail technician talked me into getting them filled in. She filed them down to look more natural and I decided to go with the white/French tip look. I love them! So much better than the last girl I went to. My go to place to get eyebrow wax, I believe the lady is name Lynn and she is amazing! She shapes my eyebrows perfectly and I don't ever want to go anywhere else. Also the price is super cheap! I have gone to more expensive places like the brow bar and European wax and I'm telling you, don't waste your money at these places, get your waxing done with Lynn! The only thing that sucks is she is the only one who does waxing. So call ahead or else if she's not there, no one else can wax. read more

I am so glad I found this nail salon on Yelp. Honestly, I wasn't sure about the area around the salon in Brooklyn Center but the shop is very well maintained and clean and the owner has put a lot of time and money in the place since he and his wife took it over. I came here after trying several other shops in the area and none of them really impressed me. However, I have decided this will be my new go-to place for all of my nail needs. The owners are so personable, welcomed me to Minnesota and we chatted about various things, which made me feel very comfortable. I have an appointment tomorrow for a fill :) I love this place! Update...so I went in for my fill today (11/30/12) and decided to get a pedicure to go along with it. I drove 1 1/2 hours to get to this shop, I was referred by one of my clients at the tax office. When i arrived there was a lady in the chair and one more person infront of me. When my turn arrived the OWNER told me to wait and serviced the lady behind me. When i stated i was next, the Owner told me you can wait 2 more minutes. Then i replied yes but im next. Wanted to get eye lash extensions, lady told me to go to the other store across the street & get these fake eyelashes that stick on. So not thinkin & never having this happen to me I go ahead & buy it & she just puts it on my eye lids & charges me 25$. She said she didn't like her product this more comfortable. Well just woke up & they are half off. The eyelash extensions that I first got here were beautiful & lasted about 3 weeks. Idk what the owner was thinking, but coming to get them redone with THEIR product & never coming here again. Oh and they charged me for them to fix them... haha. This is by far my favorite nail salon! Lynn nails has over 500 different nail polish colors from matte to glitter. She also has an massive amount of jewels to choose from. She also always keeps up with the new nail trends and art. Customer service is great. The environment is very friendly and welcoming. Pricing compared to the quality is great. The nail salon is very clean and tidy and well maintained. Not only does she offer nail services she offers eye brow waxing and eyelash extensions and every time I'm in seems like all customers gets their nails and eyebrows done. The wait isn't long. If you have in mind a certain design in mind, Lynn nails is the perfect place to let those come to reality. I recently started seeing pictures of holographic nails online and came in and she has a vast amount to choose from!!!If your in the area of Brooklyn park or Brooklyn center I highly recommend you give this place a chance. My friend and i got our nails done together on Wednesday morning and then by the following week on Monday morning, mine were already all off. We both got a full set. The person that she had was taking her time and being detailed while mine was going fast. When being done you could tell that some of the nails were crooked. Two of my fingers are not straight but a little crooked. In the past when getting my nails done (at a different place) the nails still turned out straight while my fingers were crooked (so it can be done). I showed the lady inspo and asked if they had a brown. She picked a pair pinkish color. She said that they didn't have brown. I thought that jt was weird that they didn't have brown in their wall of colors. I was nit happy with my nails when they were done but i still tipped and everything. On Monday they started coming off. Tuesday morning we called and asked if there was anything that they could do and they said no because it has been past three days (I understand that but they hadn't been on for even a week and i had no nails left). They also have bad costumer service. On the call we said that they didn't do as good of a job as we had hoped they hung up on us. We called back, they answered and then hung up. We called a third time and they didn't answer - the phone went straight to voicemail. I understand that they couldn't fix the nails because it was past a certain time but it was still annoying for them to keep hanging up and not answering like that. I was visiting Minneapolis for work and was pretty upset when I didn't get to do my nails before my departure. It's so hard to trust new people to do your hair, eyebrows and yes...nails! But there was no way i would go to a client site with jacked up nails! So I looked on Yelp and saw good reviews for this spot. I met the owner TK there who was awesome! He did my gel nails really quickly and beautifully and even gave me a 'welcome to Minnesota' discount! lol! i wish I could give 4.5 stars. Everything was perfect except that I thought I could get a little more cuticle attention. I never write reviews but with much dissatisfaction, I decided I should share my experiences here. Came here to get my nails done and the lady who did it seemed nice and friendly. During our session she kept insisting me to keep my nail length long when I told her I wanted it short because I work on the computer all day. I had to constantly remind her that my nails were crooked when she was filing them. At the end of our session they were still crooked after telling her multiple times. My acrylics are uneven and my nails are very crooked. Very dissatisfied. While re-filing my nails I decided to write this review bc I'm so pissed on how ugly my nails turned out. I had a terrible experience. I walked and the customer service was terrible to start. Then I sat and got my nails done I wanted my acrylic taken off. The lady argued with me trying to charge me more because she thought it was gel polish. In all actuality it was normal polish. Then I told her to savor my nail when taking off the acrylic and she cut every nail. During the take off she kept sticking the fake nail into my finger nail instead of trying to take the actual fake nail off. I had a horrible experience and I was uncomfortable the whole time. I was trying my hardest not to start a fuss. I have had more than one bad experience and try to give the benefit of the doubt. But I would never go back here again. I would only truly recommend maybe two individuals that are good workers and generally good at their job. Not everyone was meant to be a nail technician. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. I brought my friend in to get pedicures for her birthday not knowing what we were getting into. We are new to the area and wanted to try Lynn Nails since it is close by. They were rude and tried to rush us when we came in and were selecting nail polish colors, which I could understand if the salon was busy. There were only 2 other customers getting manicures and many extra workers who were not working with anyone. Both the nail techs failed to ask us what shape we wanted or how short we'd like them, so my nails ended up still being long and square-shaped and my friend's was extremely short and almond-shaped (the tech filed them down so short that she was filing her skin). The rest of the pedicures went ok but when they started to paint them, my nail tech tried to paint them without a base coat. The unrequested square-shaped nails were bad, but I was not going to allow them to charge me $30 to not put on any base coat... When I asked, the nail tech huffed as she removed the polish from my nail to start over. Immediately after, my friend's nail tech got up and retrieved another base coat from the other station. Looks like they did not intend on using base coat that day. I got two coats of polish after and my friend got one. Their dryer station was equipped with very weak fans and was not good. Blowing on them by mouth would probably dry them faster honestly. Both our feet were still rough on the bottom as well. All in all, our pedicures felt and looked horrible, and we will not be returning. read more

My nails have bubbles and the edges are sharp enough to cut somebody. I got talked into a pedicure which ended up costing me $40 when it was only worth maybe $5. I got the skin on my legs absolutely rubbed off and then my legs were freezing and he slaps on a freaking hot towel. My total bill came to $75. Never going back. Let me say first that this was the 3rd manicure I've had in my life...so I don't have a lot to compare to. Which is good and bad. The store front itself is nice. I thought it was decently clean. Not great, but I've seen worse in mall setups. The lady I had was not really friendly. Seemed to talk just to fill the silence, very forced. She seemed to be quite sick. Coughing, runny nose, sweating. When I sat down I thought she might have just been doing something in the back since she seemed very busy, but as I sat there, I determined that she was in fact sick. I asked her when she paused if she was feeling ok. She said she was fine, but I kept my distance and washed my hands as soon as I could. she used some lotion to rub on my hand and arm. I couldn't tell if she was rubbing to hard or if it was the lotion at first, but my skin started to turn red. I told her not to do the other hand in case the lotion was making me break out. She didn't listen to me and put lotion on the other hand. I had to literally pull my hand away and explain that while the lotion might be ok, I didn't want to risk it. she let me wash the lotion off. Nails looked good in the end. To me anyway. But the service left a lot to be desired. read more
