    Emmas Quesadilla Plate with chicken
    Staci J.

Restaurant just officially opened today. Came here for lunch with friends. Very friendly and inviting atmosphere. The menu is sure to have something for everyone. They do not have their liquor license yet but will soon. I ordered the Emmas Quesadilla plate with chicken... delicious. The chicken was nicely seasoned. The owner came to the table to see how our experience was which was very personable. I cannot wait to come back to try another dish. And Aimelis was a wonderful server!!

Overall, good place to eat. Right now, they do not have their liquor license so no margaritas with your entrée. I did get a side quesadilla because the waitress said the quesadillas were rather large. The quesadilla was good. The flowered tortilla was very tasty, however, the steak was a touch salty and there were an odd either prosciutto or bacon in it. Was not expecting that. But the quesadilla was good. The salsa and chips were nice and fresh. I did split some queso, but it was very small and a little on the expensive side. Seating was not really comfortable. I sat at a booth. Maybe different if I sat in a table chair combo. I would like to go back and try a few other things.

My daughter's dinner choice was excellent. De Nada, a newly opened spot (just 2 weeks ago), offers a warm, rustic atmosphere that feels like home, combined with great service despite a few team members not showing up for work. The GM ensured guests had a great experience by asking for authentic feedback. All the dishes we enjoyed had robust flavors that tickled our palate and were delicious and truly satisfying. Lastly, although their liquor license hasn't been approved yet, I can only imagine how great the drinks will be! De Nada is a must-try for excellent food and service.

Birmingham's newest hotspot! Upscale Mexican is exactly what the Parkside district has needed, and we didn't even know it until now. I got the Chile Relleno with chicken. Great flavors, lots of cheese pulls, and all-around delicious. Would definitely get this again! Prices are a little high, but worth it for the absolutely beautiful atmosphere and the great food. Will definitely be back!

Very cute Hispanic restaurant. The chips, esquite, and queso were super yummy and the waitress was kind to bring out extra chips. The ceviche was good, but a small serving. Fajitas were great! The steak was ordered medium-rare but it was definitely well done, unfortunately. Also, De Nada doesn't have their liquor license yet so the drinks, including margaritas, are virgin for now. You should check it out at least once but there are better places to eat in Birmingham

Went with my coworkers to try this new upscale Mexican spot and we were all impressed. The chips were light and not greasy, the salsa was fresh and bright. I was excited to try thr Pollo mole and it was one of the best moles I have tried. The sauce was deep and rich and savory and the tortilla was freshly made and warm. Also tried the ribeye torta and it was also a hit. The fries actually were skin on potatoes and had a unique seasoning that I loved. Other coworkers tried steak enchiladas, burritos, chicken quesadilla and everyone agrees we would be back. The only thing we did not like was the queso bc it was a bit too thin. It is upscale so actually pretty pricy compared to traditional Mexican places but the quality shines and it is vastly superior to the million standard Mexican places around town. I would say it is comparable to el Royale but we all agreed that it was better. The service was knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations bc we always ask lots of questions. We had sunday lunch and we're able to get in and out within 45min.

Had a great time at De nada tonight! They have done a great job with the space! It feels cozy and inviting! I got the cowboy ribeye which was fantastic! The flavors all meld together so lovely! Tried a bite of the chile relleno too which was also a delicious meal! Can't wait to come back and try more things in the menu!

I came to try this new restaurant while celebrating graduation from UAB with my family. From the moment we arrived, I expected a bit of a wait since the restaurant is pretty small, and we were a party of six. While we waited, I noticed the atmosphere was actually really nice, with a beautiful altar of La Virgen de Guadalupe and music playing softly in the background, which added a welcoming touch. Once we were seated, we were served the usual chips, salsa, and queso. Unfortunately, this is where things started to fall short. The salsa was very watery, literally water with no vegetables, and the chips themselves were a bit too oily. The queso had a similar issue being that it lacked flavor and very liquidy. I honestly would have preferred store bought casa mamita queso instead. I had been really excited to try their horchata espresso martinis, but they haven't received their liquor license yet. On top of that, our waitress let us know they were already sold out of most of their aguas frescas and mocktail options, which was disappointing. For my meal, I ordered the chicken fajitas after seeing on Instagram that they make their tortillas by hand. The food did take a while to come out, but given how busy they were, I expected that. When it finally arrived, everything was hot, which I appreciated, but the chicken lacked seasoning. The tortillas were just okay. They could've used a bit more salt, and I personally prefer them a little flatter. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place. The prices are too high for the portion sizes, which were on the smaller side, and the service didn't stand out in a positive way either. As a Mexican American, I have a strong sense of how these dishes traditionally taste, even with slight variations or creative twists. After trying not only my meal but also my family's dishes, everything leaned more toward Tex-Mex and didn't feel or taste very authentic.

They have a food truck that I've heard wonderful things about and I ordered the chicken Caesar salad. It was almost like a chopped Caesar salad and it was just the right amount for a small girl dinner. If you like Parmesan cheese, this is a must order as they do not skimp on that! What was really nice however was that you couldn't tell the food was from a food truck. It was great quality and you are able to order from inside the bar and they deliver it to you. That was a great service. I can't quite remember which cocktail I got, but it was very delicious and at one point the server had even given me a new chilled glass so my drink would remain cold as I sipped on it. This is definitely a great date night spot or just a place to grab a drink with friends, definitely a little more upscale as we were there in the evening, so the lights were dim. I won't drop my rating as it's spring time in the South but I remember being cold immediately as I walked in- but that's typical for a lot of places.

It was so fun and the crowd made it feel like a safe space. I'm going to try to bring my mom and some of her friends for the next one! It's a great bar with comfortable seating, and on this night it wasn't so loud that my older, hearing impaired friends wouldn't enjoy it. Burlesque aside, this is a great bar for an intimate drink. It's relatively dark in here so much more of a romantic vibe.

Moving on, I ordered two cocktails: vitamin sea and out of the office, I think. I explained that I don't like sweet - both were made perfect for me with less syrup. We were there for happy hour, which is $2 off all drinks. I also had their chips and dip (no kitchen menu). 2 drinks and chips = $29. I consider that a little steep for happy hour but this was for the experience. I'd recommend a visit.

They have multiple seating options; the first floor has booths that can accommodate smaller and large groups. The bar area is very inviting and fun to be able to watch your drinks being made and upstairs offers a more private area. When not seated at the bar they do have someone to come around to make sure you have what you need. The servers are very nice and tend to remember you, which is a great feeling. The menu rotates seasonally, which makes it easier to try new things. My favorite menu item so far has been the cheeseball that was on the menu around Christmas time. It had a great flavor served with crackers the only thing is when we came back after the first of the year it wasn't on the menu anymore. On my most recent visit I had the queso which also had great flavor, served with blue corn tortilla chips. When it comes to the drinks I like how on the menu they let you know how strong it is using toucans. Many of the drinks feature rum, but they do still offer some gin and tequila options. Everything I've had has been good and something I would try again. I would like to note that many of the drinks are fruity and can be somewhat sweet. At Christmas time they even had holiday themed drinkware which I felt was a nice touch. If you are not a drinker, they also have options for mocktails. Which has been great for me the last couple of months. I didn't care for the Phony Negroni, but I think Negroni itself might be an acquired taste

The menu varies so don't expect this menu when you go. The smash burger is dependable and good. The duck fries are pretty awesome, but they seem to be super enthused about their house seasoning, almost to the point of obliteration! It's good; They just need to be a little more judicious with it. Pictured are the noteworthy Brussel sprouts: "$10 BRUSSELS' SPROUTS Red wine balsamic glaze, Agrodolce pearl onions, scallions, fried garlic " You can also have them topped with grilled chicken for a few bucks more. Can Brussels be overcooked? Apparently not. These aren't as charred as the photo suggests. The red wine / balsamic reduction adds a lot of color to them. They may look charred but there's no burned taste in the flavor. I know, those poor little Brussels look overwhelmed, but they're not. They were good in my mouth and belly. Be careful not to spill any in the car on the way home, or the next day your car will not be very welcoming to guests.

We went very early one Saturday and were the only people in there -- but I won't hold this against them at all, as we are always early birds. The staff were all hanging out in a booth near the door. One bartender eagerly jumped up to help us, but the rest seemed pretty inconvenienced by our presence. Our bartender was great -- very personable and knowledgeable. That's about the only redeeming factor. The menus were tattered and sticky, bar itself was kinda gross, lipstick marks on our glasses, and our drinks were subpar at best. I believe the theme when we went was something about Italy, so there was a lot of potential for creative drinks, but they all seemed pretty uninspired -- think limoncello, Negronis, etc.. Also, some weird blue frozen one, but I can appreciate catering to every crowd! We probably won't be back.
