We had Allied Contracting install an Ella's Bubble walk-in tub, pocket doors on both our bathrooms,…read moreand attic access in our hallway. We could not be happier with the final result and we felt the cost of these task were quite reasonable. Ella's bubbles of New Jersey referred us to Allied Construction, saying they had worked with them before. John came out before we ordered the tub to scout the job. I ordered a tub without realizing that it was too large to fit through the door opening of the bathroom, and did not discover this until after it was delivered. Also, the drain and water supply on the tub were on the wrong side due to the location of the tub door and the toilet. John did not waver and said they would figure it out. Figure it out they did! They tore out the entire wall and vanity to get the very large tub in there. Carlos, the plumber who works for John, is a magician and did a beautiful job of rerouting the drainage and water supply and installing the tub with no room to speak of to work. I was really afraid at point that they would say this job was impossible! Carlos never gave up and in the end the installation was beautiful and the operation perfect! Since the bathroom wall was gone, John suggested we install a pocket door to replace the old 28 inch bathroom entry door that swung into the bathroom taking up valuable space. David and his brother Mr. E came in and installed the pocket door and re-did the electrical to move the light switch from the pocket door wall, wired up a new lighted medicine cabinet and did all the electrical and trim for the new tub. They did a magnificent job with all the electrical and trim. The bathroom is beautiful and looks new! We loved the pocket door and lighted medicine cabinet so much, we asked John to come back and do the same treatment to the master bathroom. We also wanted attic access added to our hallway, so that no one had to access through my wife's closet in the future. David and Mr. E came back along with David's son Randy and accomplished all these requests in 4 days! The prep work in our bedroom was really stepped up, with a lot of care as not to harm our bedroom furniture in any way! The results of the work were just as beautiful as the other job! The attic access is a pull down ladder in the hallway. David added a light and light switch up there and a large plywood platform for tools or storage. It turn out really cool! It was very unique to have a literal family of workers working on our house. They made us feel like part of their family while they were here! Their prep and clean up work was impeccable. John, the owner of Allied Construction is super laid back and very easy to work with hearing our plans and enhancing them further. We consider him to be a friend now and would not hesitate to have him and Allied do other projects for us in the future. Craig and his team delivered excellent quality and worked efficiently. I found out about Craig through a neighbor who spoke highly of his painting, drywall, and repair services after a roof leak. Craig stands out as a knowledgeable, kind professional with years of experience. His pricing is reasonable, and the finished work is both meticulous and impressive. He quickly provided a same-day estimate, and the loyalty of his long-term crew reflects his strong leadership. Craig personally ensured everything was completed to his high standards. Unlike many companies where one person does the estimate and a different crew does the work, Craig was hands-on throughout the project. He was present at the start, checked in during the process, and performed a final quality inspection before completion. It's clear that he knows his craft and genuinely cares about his customers. He was extremely responsive. He remodeled my living room, family room and kitchen. Unfortunately, there were some issues, but he initially resolved them. However, I have some issues after completion and I requested they just fix it. I patiently waited because he had a lot of personal commitments so I was fine with that. However, he would not show up as promised, not call me back and then I had to continually call and text and he just ghosted me and I seemed like I was bothering him when it was something he could have very easily fixed or at least called me back. I am very disappointed and will never use him again, nor would I recommend him. It is unfortunate because I did initially feel like he was honest and very good. When I finish remodeling my other rooms and bathrooms, I will definitely go with someone else. Really sucks because I did recommend him to others. Since then, I have let them.

It has been six months since the cabinet installation began, and it is still not complete. These…read moreare prefab cabinets, yet after months of asking, begging, and pleading, I still cannot get a firm completion date. Communication with Marc has been incredibly frustrating. He frequently does not respond, repeatedly says he will show up and then doesn't, and when he does come, he often works only a few hours at a time. Progress has been painfully slow, and the entire process has been extremely unprofessional. I was also very concerned to learn that Marc does not have an active contractor's license, particularly because he has been performing much of the installation work himself. Had I understood this upfront, I would have made a very different decision. Unfortunately, the delays are only part of the problem. There have been numerous mistakes along the way, and instead of taking responsibility, I have repeatedly felt that the additional cost or consequences were pushed back onto me. I genuinely hate leaving a review like this, but after six months of living through an unfinished kitchen and having no clear end date, I feel others should know what they may be signing up for. My advice: pay the extra money and hire an established, licensed professional. Whatever you think you may save upfront is simply not worth the stress, delays, lack of communication, mistakes, and added costs. I could go on and on, but this has easily been one of the most miserable and stressful contractor experiences I have ever had.
