Was greeted by security when entering, and the store was fairly clean, so my trip started off well, but went poorly from then on. I went to buy a child's bathing suit because I forgot my daughters, and when I asked the floor employee they did not know where to find them, or even be bothered enough to suggest a location. I eventually found them mixed in with the girls clothing, next to the toddler section. Next I got in line to get a cashier but no one was on a register. A couple employees made eye contact with me while I was in line, but continued whatever they were doing and ignored me. It wasn't until a floor lead grabbed one of the employees that ignored me to do my transaction. She asked if I was paying card or cash and rolled her eyes at me when I said cash. She rung me up, then said have a good day, but did not hand me my bag of goods, or my receipt. I had to reach on her side of the counter to get my bag, and grab my receipt to leave. I love DD's. I come here to buy fashionable, unique, and on trend clothing. The prices of many of the items sometimes are unbelievable, they are so inexpensive. I mainly buy women and men's tops, dresses, and houseware items. If I am wearing something cute, 9 times out of 10 I've gotten it from DD's. People are constantly complementing my clothing and I always tell them instantly that I got it at DD's. It is best to shop this location on a Wednesday or Thursday for best selection, neatness, and less people shopping. Out of all the local DD's, this is probably my favorite location. It is always well stocked and clean. The employees are always very friendly and helpful. I normally have my receipt when I do a return and I do them within the 30 days, so I've never had any problems doing returns. I always have a return handy to get in the return line and beat the longer just purchasing line. The issue with the bathroom can make things challenging, but I just try my best to plan around it. This store not only lost 1 but 2 customers. Tonight, my mother and I had every intention to shop. I needed to use the restroom prior to shopping. The Loss Prevention employee at the front overheard me telling my mom my need for the restroom so she told me to go on straight back to the fitting room area. I've shopped here numerous times so I'm quite familiar with the store's layout. As I proceeded to go to the fitting room, I asked the fitting room attendant Nancy politely if I can go to the back and use the restroom. I was met with a scowl and attitude. "We don't have any bathrooms here!" Ummm. Yes, you do (cause I've used it before & I was told by the front end to go back here.) I explained to her what was told to me at the front. She then proceeded to roll her eyes, picks up the phone...spoke with somebody and asked "who told her we had a bathroom here?"...mind you this is all while I'm standing in front of her. Had she just told me that there was a policy change in that customers are no longer allowed to use their restroom, I would have understood. But her lack of customer service and respect was disgusting. I work in Retail and Customer Service too so I know I would NEVER treat a customer the way I was treated. Best believe that I will tell everybody I know about this horrible experience. This definitely left a bitter taste in my mouth. I'll take my money and business elsewhere if you guys don't want it. Bargains galore! I'm in here a lot because they have a great plus size selection with everything from pants to dresses to tank tops. While they sometimes have big name goods from Torrid most of it will be tagless or a faux brand label. Purses that retail elsewhere for 100 bucks can be less than 30 here. Besides clothes for those plus size or not they also have kitchen stuff, home decor, bedding, pet supplies, luggage, toys, books, and tons of baby clothes. They've limited the dressing room items to 5 because people have sticky fingers so be mindful of that while shopping if you want to try everything on before you buy. I really recommend trying stuff on, sometimes the sizing can be little off and watch out for small rips. The merch changes constantly so buy what you love when you find it! read more

I discovered this store when I was cruising National Ave. one day. It's a pretty inexpensive store, comparable to ROSS dress for less. They have an array of items from clothing to shoes and accessories as well as housewares. They carry a pretty big electronics accessory section. I've bought a cell phone case/wallet and car USB car chargers. They don't have the highest quality items here, but I still pop in every now and then to see if I can find something. I've found small gym towels here and puma gym socks. I just recently bought a really cool wicker basket that I haven't yet decided what exactly I'm going to use it for. If you have a little time to kill, you might find a hidden treasure among the aisles of DD's Discount. read more

I have always shopped here.. Until today, I have to now change my mind about dds. The customer service was horrible!! I was told by the security guard to put my water away and I did not understand what he had said because he said it so quickly. A cashier interrupts him when I asked he to restate what he wanted to say and tells me they can take my water or I can put it away. I then put my water in my purse and walk away. After all of this happens, the cashier and the security continue to talk about me. I also saw the security guard following me. this place is outrageous!!! read more

Honestly, if you are looking for superb customer service and name brand items, don't go to a place with the word "discount" in the name! I will never understand people who complain about things like this -- entitled much? What I will say about this store is that it offers a wide variety of clothing items that tend to run a bit small but hold up well over time (just buy a size up from what you'd buy at other retailers). I get all of my workout clothes here because I can find what I need at a decent price. They also have house ware items, electronics, accessories, and shoes. As for the employees, they are almost always pleasant! They may not rush you through the checkout line but that is because they are busy making sure you don't have to come back because something went wrong during the checkout process. Personally, I appreciate this! Finally, no, they don't have a restroom. Quick fix? Go before you step foot in the store. Also, the employees are more than willing to hold your basket while you go use the restroom elsewhere. All in all, I appreciate this store for what it is. I start walking around and it's like he's following me or something. I started to think maybe I was crazy and was miss interpreting him but I really wasn't the more I start to look around I realize he's really fucking following me I honestly had never been to a store and felt as harassed as I did today as soon as I decide I can't deal with being treated like I was going to steal something and make my way up to the register. He decided to come up to the from where he belongs ! And continues to look directly at me! Like he expects me not to pay??! First and last time shopping at this store and all of this thanks to "Rude" Maria and the Loss prevention guy. As i was welcomed into the store along with my family and we shopped around , it was time to pay for our things ."Rude" Maria starts ringing up my items and asked me cash or card ( at this point i don't know what my total is so i don't know if i will have enough cash on me or i will be using my card ) But i kindly said cash , as she continues ringing up my items she told me to look at the screen for my total and asked me for a 2nd time cash or card . (Now keep in mind she is not done ringing up my items so i don't see the point of looking at the screen since that os not my actual total and i have already said cash ) i kindly told her "but you haven't finish ringing up my items yet " . once she was done she told me for a third time " look at the screen for your total" i don't let this things get to me so i let it slide . Then was my brother's turn to pay and guess what ??? You right Same thing happened . same attitude . like of she had problems or wasnt happy working there . we did not say anything . But then it was my grandma's turn to deal with "Mrs Rude Maria" ... You guessed it "same thing happened " She told my almost 80 years old grandma to look at the screen for her total . i kindly asked what was my grandma's total and she said look at the screen for your total i asked 5 times and she insisted with "look at the screen for your total" as this was happening she was making remarks and faces not only at me but my mom and my grandma ,and to all my family . and looked over the "Loss prevention guy" and he starts laughing as if i have said a joke . Maybe that is how they see their job as a joke cause they showed NO RESPECT for customer . my 9 year old daughter showed more respect and said the total to her great-grandma. Didn't your parents teach you that you need to respect older people ? she is on her late 30' s early 40's .Maria on the first weeks at your job you suppose to be trying to do everything good cause you are trying to prove that you are good for the job . Today I tried paying with 11 dollar coins and the cashier, Daisy, told me that they where not allowed to take in more than $5 in change and that it was a store policy and something about making it difficult to count the register but mind you I wasn't paying with pennies, dimes, or nickels.. 11 coins is easy to count. I have never heard about that policy any where else, I thought it was ridiculous. I said I will pay one item for now and then get back in line to pay the other one just to try and get rid of the coins but she said she would only take $6. i have came to this location plenty of times and had great experience, but yesterday was not like the others. i had to do a quick stop to buy a birthday gift and then went to get in line . when i was ready to pay i slided my debit card and machine froze so the cashier asked his employee if she can ring me up for my items because machine had froze. she quickly scaned the barcode he had gave her so she wont have to riring my 2 items and she asked "2 items only right " i replied yes mind you my husband had just purchased & PAID his 2 items as well with the guy that sent me to her .So i pay and then i grab my 2 items and my husbands 2 items he just purchased and shes like "waitt" with a attitude and i replied "these other items my husband purchased with him already and she replied " ohhh i was about to say" like wait what? so i took it like sge really think i was goin to make a fool of myself and steal !? no honeyyy i got money to pay for my items and next time she should askk her employee before she loudly aproaches a costomer to be sure instead of looking and sounding pathetic ! read more
