The chips are made there and they are are thicker and crunchier. I thought they were okay but some folks loved them. Where they nail it is the tortillas. House made there and they are out of this world. More texture and taste than store bought. Loved them. I liked the big assortment of refried beans in cans or packages. We tried the El Salvadorian red beans and I really enjoyed them. Good change of pace. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I bought a bean and cheese burrito on the way out in the food service area. My husband tried to return or exchange the loaf (without a receipt) with one of the cashiers and they said they couldn't do it. my husband bought a new loaf and left. I called and spoke with Jen and to be honest I was pretty irritated and had hostile energy. Jen was very kind and heard my feedback and spoke with her staff to figure out what happened. She called me back and explained the situation and that there had been a slight miscommunication but ultimately her staff member followed protocol but could have spoken with a manager about the issue and a manager would have done the exchange for my husband. I appreciate her hearing me out about the issue and remedying it. It truly isn't about the cost of the bread, more the issue with the product going bad before it's best by date. We love going to this particular grocery outlet and have always had good experiences here and because of Jen we will continue to come back.

First off, I thought that they would have the weekly color tag discount, but when walking in I overheard a staff member tell a customer that discounts are only available on Tuesday & Wednesdays --- doesn't really make sense since a majority of people work during the weekdays & I would imagine they get more foot-traffic during the weekends. That's definitely an advantage for the business and not the customers. Second, PRICING is not competitive with other thrift/second-hand stores. If anything, you might as well pay the extra to get it brand new since their pricing is expensive. The women's tops were all the same price! $5.79 for any top --- short-sleeve, long-sleeve, tank tops, sweaters, cardigans. ONE PRICE. The dresses were two prices - $6.19 & $5.79 I like to go through the racks and find the deals, but knowing that everything was about 6 dollars. It took the fun out of thrifting & I walked out of the door without purchasing which is definitely a rarity for me. I went to the two Modesto locations thinking that the pricing would be different (wishful thinking) but just further solidifies why I won't be back at a Goodwill any time soon.
