The number one place for free entertainment All Summer Long. In addition, this is the best place where they run a lot of fundraising events. I love the fact that they have free classical performances every Wednesday during the summer. On certain weekends, they have radio concerts like Oldies 103.... Loved seeing the Beach Boys and Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. They also hold cultural festivals like the Bollywood Festival and everyone's favorite...Boston Pops on July the 4th which is the most crowded so get there early. If you have young kids take opportunity to attend the Free Friday Flicks! And if the movie is lousy, the kids get to run around towards the playground nearby. They have food vendors around serving typical fastfood like fried dough, ice-cream, hot dog and burgers.

This is One of the cool perks of living in a city. I never know what to expect when I stroll past this place on the esplanade. Some nights there are free Zumba classes, other weekends there are free concerts, and the the 4th of July is kicken wih the Boston pops! It gets crowded, but what concert venue isn't?

Gather your friends, grab a blanket, prepare some picnic food, and head over to the Hatch Memorial Shell for some fantastic outdoor live music! It's located right by the river, so take the T to Charles/MGH, walk across the bridge and ta-dah, you are there. I came here recently for Earth Fest 2012 with some buddies and had a great time. I left the place feeling slightly burnt and toasted, but was glad I got to experience some great outdoors with live music and great company.

We walked into a space where the walls are covered with photos of artists and music memorabilia, while dim lighting, packed tables, and frequent live performances give the restaurant a distinctly neighborhood feel. Whether stopping in for a casual drink or staying for an evening of music, the experience centers around the performances happening just a few feet away. The menu leans heavily into Irish pub comfort food with generous portions and hearty classics. We tried the Guinness Beef Stew and the Shepherd's Pie, both of which delivered rich flavors and exactly what you would expect from a solid Irish restaurant. Other popular items on the menu include curry fries, clam chowder, burgers, and traditional pub fare designed to pair naturally with a pint. The comfort food favorites consistently stand out, while opinions on some other menu items may vary. Service is friendly and welcoming, even on busy nights when the venue fills up for performances. The staff handles both diners and music crowds with ease, helping maintain a relaxed atmosphere despite the constant activity. Live entertainment is clearly a major part of the identity here, with regular performances ranging from Irish sessions and jazz to open mic nights and other local acts. For a neighborhood pub near Berklee that delivers on both hearty Irish food and live music, The Bebop offers a warm, energetic experience built around community and performance.
