The office staff is very welcoming and helpful. Ted is the hearing aid specialist who helped me. First, he explains well, and then makes sure you understand. Plus he made me very comfortable, and all the "how-to" information he gave me stands the test of time. I am very happy with my hearing aids and have had no trouble making them work. I had previously tried hearing aids from a company that provided information only by telephone, with assistance from someone I had difficulty understanding. Having in-person guidance from a professional provider was so much better! I left the office feeling confident and have had no trouble learning and adjusting to a somewhat scary whole new thing--wearing hearing aids. Next week I go back for follow up to make sure I've understood everything and get answers to any questions I may have after using them for 2 weeks. How about that!.

All of this has combined to produce a chronic cough that, in the winter, gets pretty bad. Dr. Vap is the first doctor to actually take the time to talk to me, give me a thorough exam, order the necessary tests, and work with me to come up with a treatment plan. He's helping me find out exactly what causes my symptoms rather than just insisting that I take a million medicines. He even suggested and ordered the food allergy bloodwork that I've been begging my allergist to do for years. The specialists that I had gone to about my cough before him had just rushed the appointment and pushed medicine at me; I'm so happy to have finally found a doctor who takes his time with patients and really cares about finding a solution.

They have two locations: one in Arlington, and one in Lorton. I made an appointment with Dr. Scott Lanford, and he was just pure AWESOMEness - he was very informative, intelligent, honest, and had a great sense of humor! This clinic offers a complimentary hearing assessment, so if you think you are hard of hearing or need to get your hearing checked out in general, check this place out! Making an appointment was a breeze - Ms. Laura, one of the receptionists, was so sweet and got all the information down. When it's time for your appointment, the doc asks you a few questions, then does a tone test in a sound-proof booth. It's kind of like playing a game with a beeper, so with different pitch of tones, when you hear it, you press the beeper. There are posters and cute stuffed animals to visually 'calm' you. Then, the doc goes over your results and his recommendations. Definitely a wonderful place where you can obtain lots of great information in regards to everything hearing-related; definitely check them out! :D +complimentary hearing test! +ask for Dr. Scott Lanford! :D +appointment making is easy! +parking around residential area
