I hired Jerry for lawn mowing services after being quoted $30 per cut. When he arrived, he stated…read morethat the lawn was around 2 feet tall and needed bagging, so he raised the first cut to $50, which I agreed to. He left his equipment in my yard for over 3 hours to go buy lawn bags--an inconvenience that I tolerated without complaint. I was then sent an invoice for $145.06 (attached), which explicitly states: "Lawn mowing will occur once a week for the next four weeks. First cut is $50 and the remaining 3 are $30 each." I paid in full on May 8th, expecting the agreed weekly service. However, after the first cut, Jerry never returned, despite repeated promises over the next several days: * May 15 (Thursday) - Promised to come "tomorrow" * May 16 (Friday) - "If I don't get there today, it will be early afternoon tomorrow" * May 17 (Saturday) - "First thing in the morning" * May 18 (Sunday) - Still didn't come; I had to follow up again Despite at least four missed commitments, I asked politely for a refund or cancellation, and he replied: "I don't do refunds" "If you want your grass cut, I'll be there" Worse, in the messages (attached), he said: "I was still going to cut 3 more times for free" -- confirming the remaining visits were included in the invoice and not "free extras" he was doing out of goodwill. He blamed the delays on the weather, yet as shown in the attached weather chart for Westland, MI, the past days were mostly clear and dry, and other services were operating as usual. At this point, I've paid in full, received only 1 of 4 agreed services, and endured multiple unfulfilled promises. Refusing a refund after not delivering the full service is not only unprofessional but dishonest. In summary: * Changed the rate upon arrival * Left equipment on-site for hours * Took full payment ($145.06) * Did only 1 cut out of 4 * Promised visits 4 times and failed to show * Refused a refund * Blamed weather despite clear conditions * Claimed 3 free cuts in contradiction to the contract I strongly do not recommend this service. Save yourself the frustration and hire someone reliable and honest.

I cannot comment on the poor service the other review referenced as I did not utilize them for a…read moresealcoating job. However they also do offer snow plow services and that is the only interaction I had with this company that being said it was a phenomenal one. There are multiple bullet points that I would like to make positive reference of with this experience all of which I believe unfortunately are in short supply in this day in age. 1 it appears to be an the owner operated company and the owner is Hands-On which is respectable 2 they answered the phone on the weekend and it was not a voicemail or call center it was a human being 3 they were honest in saying they they could fit me in as soon as possible and showed up to the job promptly and on time which is a frequent issue with snow plow companies. 4 they were extremely fair priced for a large area of snow. It was done quickly and when they were done plowing the individual even asked does this meet your satisfaction. That alone is a high point in my book. 5 his snowplow was in good condition with the driveway having been recently redone the owner was worried about damage but his equipment was in good condition and had the screw in guides on the bottom of the blade which most plows do not which insured zero damage to the property. After the job was done I also learned from him that he is actually the owner and works on the weekends. This owner showed great pride in his workmanship and Company. Most owners don't work on the weekends this day in age. I will definitely utilize him on more job sites and refer him whenever possible. I am curious to see if the same professionalism and workmanship carries over to the sealcoating side of the business. I would say at least give them a shot you can't go wrong with the fair and economical pricing.
