I hadn't…read morevisited a salon in almost 6 months and had been taking care of my hair myself, with varying results. After exchanging a few texts with Tina I had an appointment scheduled. Tina was clear in that my appointment would take a chunk of time, as she had never worked with my hair before and wanted to do a full consultation to ensure my appointment would result in my dream look. It did! Tina is incredibly knowledgable and made sure to explain why she did and used every product she did. I felt comfortable enough to ask questions and she gave me tailored advice to use when I can not make it to the salon. She took the time to deep condition, protein treat and truly observe my hair to get my desired look. Her 'headside' manner is exquisite and she constantly made sure to check that she was not too rough or if I needed a break of any sort. The salon was spacious enough for the two of us and was an extremely relaxing environment. I would 100% recommend scheduling time with Tina and really enjoyed my visit. I look forward to my next visit!

She listened very intently. Afterwards, shared things I didn't know. It was about various products and hair types that performed well together. I want it healthy, regardless of style, straight or curly. Today, I went curly. She used products on my hair that has my hair flowing like it's never flowed before. I have 2 different textures and was curious about this FOAM she said was magical. Right now, I'm not noticing any shrinkage where curls are normally tighter. It's lighter, softer, same curl pattern and beautiful. I think I'm gonna check her out a few more times to see if she's the real deal.

I began my locs in high school, when locs were considered kind of a fringe hairstyle for weirdos and female professional athletes. Because of this, I have had a hard time finding someone I trust to style my hair. I ran into someone at the gym with pretty locs who told me about Jey, and I'm so glad they did. Jey is professional, fast, prompt, and well-versed in her craft. I love the products she uses, leaving my locs moisturized, clean, and smelling fresh following each appointment. Additionally, Jey was knowledgeable in the subject of postpartum hair loss, and encouraged me to NOT freak out when my edges ran off in the first six months postpartum. I am now 15 months pp, and my locs and edges are back in working order under her care. If I ever big chop, I will consult Jey to do so and to care for/maintain my natural hair following.

If you are looking for wedding or special occasion styling I'd avoid this place…read more I reached out to Rebeca in early June about doing the styling for my wedding we emailed, talked on the phone She stated "I've been a stylist for almost 16 years. I've styled many, many weddings and formal events.". I went in for a payed trial on June 24th. Everything went great, I stated I wanted to book her for my wedding and asked about a deposit (she stated amount paid for trial would count) and I requested her to send a contract. She emailed me the photos from my trial same day. After 2 weeks no contract, email 3 times and called twice over the following 2 weeks and never got a reply. I still have no idea why she ghosted me. Very unprofessional, if she was unable or unwilling to provide the service she should have said right away. This left me looking for a new Stylist at the beginning of August for an October wedding, not a good situation. I got sort of lucky and someone is squeezing us in before another wedding. Which is better then DIY but not great. Save yourself the stress and avoid Rebeca as a wedding stylist.
