He was friendly, professional, and very thorough. He spent a couple of hours with us, and as he was doing the inspection, walked us through different areas of the interior and exterior of the house to point out issues (overall minor thankfully) that we should be aware of moving forward. At the end of the inspection, he took his time going through the final report with us to make sure we understood everything and that he had addressed all of our questions. We received an electronic copy of the report the same day. My partner and I both felt really comfortable asking questions and didn't feel the slightest bit rushed. At first impression the inspector was thorough and friendly. However shortly after moving in and beginning to repair the suggested items on his inspection report we discovered that the inspector failed to disclose safety risk, that would have impacted our purchase decision! The electrical panel was severely overloaded! When we removed the cover of the panel water poured out of the back! Everything inside of the box was corroded and falling off! The house wasn't even grounded! I had 3 different licensed electricians tell me that this was years of corrosion and no home inspector would have missed something that significant! A few months in and I had thousands of dollars in unexpected, and avoidable home repair cost when the point of the inspection was to avoid that! Mr. Booth Expects me to sign a form releasing him of liability in order to get a refund!I would rather go to court
