I've found Anne to be informed, responsive, patient and professional, especially in the all-too-frequent instances when she has to deliver news that a homeowner probably doesn't want to hear. Serving as "the messenger" is never a fun job, but she does so effectively, and then follows up by communicating the homeowner's concern to the Board. It's not been completely smooth sailing with TMT, but as a Board, we've brought to them our concerns and they've been receptive and accommodating. I have the added perspective of working with a different, much more difficult property management firm for my day-job (I won't mention them in this review). It is in considering the challenge I face with them that I can better appreciate the working relationship I have with The Management Trust. This relationship feels to me much like a partnership. I appreciate that on countless occasions Anne/TMT has been a step ahead of our Board, advising us on liability matters, preparing our association for legislative changes, and even inviting me to participate in a training they hosted! I know it's easy for homeowners like myself to place blame in companies like The Management Trust when we are unhappy with something, even when it's not something they are in a position to address. If you remove that from the equation, The Management Trust has demonstrated they are a valuable resource for our Board and community. As our Board grows we continue to build our relationship with The Management Trust and I feel strongly Lakewood Shores is better for it.

Got my required 1m liability insurance for them, then got told I need supplemental insurance....asked why then they realized they were wrong. No biggie. Made an appointment with them to deliver my signed contracts and all the keys I prepared for them, then got stood up....waited 30min outside then finally had to guess their lockbox code and just leave my keys and contracts (with my SSN on them) in their office. Really? They did rent ready estimates for both my properties, told me to pay a total of around 5500 dollars for replacing all door locks, all mailbox locks, paint all cabinets inside, paint doors, frames, walls, even paint the front door which is managed by the HOA and HOA literally just painted all community doors like half a year ago....told them no, then got told they can't manage my units.....ok let's end this before I waste more of my time. This was on 10/13. Now on 10/22 I still don't have my keys back. I just got told the person who's supposed to meet me today can't make it so they want to reschedule to tomorrow. Our meeting was set at 3 and they call me at 1:50...I have to drive an hour on the freeway to their office and arranged other things to do because I have to drive there anyway. So now they continue to waste my time...I guess I should be thankful they didn't simply just stand me up.

My experience at 524 W Greenwood Ave has been some of the most unnecessarily stressful of my 50 + years as a renter. I was a homeowner a few times during this time also I am very aware of the responsibilities of an owner and as a renter. Roberts client, and defacto mother/tenant have made it nearly impossible for Robert to have managed my tenancy properly. I want to believe, given the appropriate opportunity, I would have experienced a more favorable outcome. Robert, to my knowledge, has not been directly involved in the nefarious actions of his clients. The turning off of my heat and hot water on several occasions in the past month. The hiding of my trash cans. The theft of my mail and subsequent use of my bankcard by a family member. The constant harassment, verbal assaults, physical threats and finally lying regarding my exclusive use of a patio and then in retaliation, excluding it as a punishment. I believe Robert was acting in good faith regarding his client. However I have and continue to suffer greatly at the hands of his client. I can only close my eyes, click my heels together 3 times and repeat, "there's no place like home," and hope a house falls on top of his client. When I open my eyes I will be transported to the home of my dreams, on 3/2/2026, far, far away from this scary horrible place. I will pray for the next tenant!
