So I was actually going to Good Year and saw Tire Associates that was my 1st mistake . Walked in and said Good morning and not a word it' was like a ghost walk in. So I said Good morning again that's was my 2nd mistake so I said I need a tire. And the gentleman said I don't have it. I said wow sir I didn't even tell you what I needed. He said well I know I'm not gonna have it try up the road maybe they can help you there. My 3rd mistake was me still trying cause I was confused in what just happened did I say something wrong this is a Tire Shop right ‍ only to realize it wasn't me it was him not wanting to service me. I was like wow no problem I don't like to assume but I knew he didn't and wasn't going to help me so I left said have a nice day while another man just stood there looking at me like go already. I will kill you with kindness. Im to bless to be stress so I left. And never looked back. The man was rude never said Good morning or hello. Even if this business was having a Buy 1 tire get 3 for free and that's a great deal I still wouldn't go back. A customer should never feel the way I did that day. And let's just say he was having a bad day still I didn't deserve that kind of treatment. Stay blessed. I now go to Oxfords Tires in Washington Ken is the best. I was greeted and asks how could he help. And they also do other mechanic work so it's like a two and one. Thank you Oxfords Tires in Washington NJ for knowing how to treat people. I was surprised to find "no footprint" either good or bad, on the Internet for Persa Auto Repair,…read moreso I guess I get to start them off on a good note. I selected the shop for some recent brake/suspension work on my 2000 Ford Mustang mainly due to convenience as it's within walking distance from work. I couldn't have made a better choice however. The shop owner himself (ok, forget the first name at the moment, but "Mr. Persa") answers the phone for the most part and obviously is completely involved in the day to day operations. They promptly diagnosed the problem, were upfront about the costs with zero surprises later, and had it all fixed the same day. (Pretty fair amount of work - front brakes/calipers/rotors/wheel bearing assemblies.) All old parts were kept for my inspection. As you'd expect (and is not entirely unwelcome) they did suggest some new hoses/belts as the car is 13 years old, but were completely relaxed and no-pressure when I said I do that work myself. In fact I'd be awarding 5/5 except for two minor, but real, annoyances: #1, they put a license plate frame advertising the shop on my car without my consent (or even noticing for a few days) and while they were courteous in general in terms of keeping the car clean (paper mat on floor and so on) there was a STRONG cigar smell in the car. I'm not even particularly sensitive to it, but it was strong and unmistakable. POSSIBLY just whoever drove the car was a heavy cigar smoker and just had the smell on their clothing, but the strength of the odor really makes me think they were smoking in the car. That might really annoy some people far more than me... So, all in all very highly recommended. Those two things did not affect in any way the quality of work or the friendly, personal nature of the business.

But the manager called me himself, apologized for what happened and told me he would be speaking with the employees involved. He also offered to make it right, which I really appreciated. At the end of the day, one bad experience with one person doesn't mean the whole dealership is bad. I really appreciate the manager taking the time out of his day to actually listen to me and acknowledge what happened instead of just brushing it off. That says a lot about his character and how he runs the dealership.

About a month and a half later, I received a solid check‑engine light. I brought the truck to their service department and was told the vehicle had a P0420 catalytic converter efficiency code. Despite buying a warranty specifically to protect myself from unexpected repairs, I was informed that this issue is not covered, and that Pennsylvania emissions law does not protect me either. This left me completely unprotected only weeks after purchasing the vehicle. The dealership then quoted me $4,000 for a catalytic converter replacement -- an extremely high estimate for a major failure that occurred so soon after purchase. I feel misled about the warranty coverage and disappointed with the lack of support. A customer should not be facing a $4,000 repair on a truck purchased less than two months earlier, especially after paying for additional protection. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Ray Price Stroudsburg.
