Since that was a significant expense, I wanted to get a second opinion before committing to the repair. At that point, I was told I owed $50 for the inspection. My frustration is not with charging a diagnostic fee itself, but with the fact that it was never discussed beforehand. Had I been informed of the fee when I scheduled the appointment, I could have made an informed decision. Transparency about costs upfront is important, and unfortunately that was missing from my experience.

He was extremely quick and efficient and my day wasn't disturbed like it would've been if I had to go to a shop to get this done. We used Geller's for years after a recommendation from a coworker. Less than a mile from home…read morewhich was nice. Every repair has felt a little off- first, an expensive (failed) AC repair which I later came back and asked questions about and they sounded annoyed for every question I had. I just wanted to know what exactly they did and tested so that I could know how to continue. The passive aggressive attitude from all these people is comical. If you're not a car junkie, prepared to be talked down to. Second- a belt repair which they (without asking) added another hour of labor to put in a headlight. They told us all about how many difficult engine parts they had to remove to access the headlight and "figured" it would be something we wanted. Zero call first, no authorization. I googled it, and next time a few months later I fixed my own headlight in under 2 minutes with access from the wheel well opening. Reach in, yank it out, plug the new one in, seat the metal bar, done. There's NO chance they didn't know that, and if they actually didn't know, it's embarrassing that they would rather pull out half the engine than research for 2 minutes. Third- I had a dead alternator this week. Spent about 5 minutes on the phone with Scott discussing options, pricing, etc. I found remanufactured alternators online for like 1/3 the price, he told me I can't order parts myself- okay fine, that's a fair policy if they want to do that. Makes sense. He started to search on his computer and asked me questions about my car, make, year, model, the usual. He asked which specific engine is in my car. I blanked and told him I had forgotten. THIS. DUDE. Laughed at me. Cackled like a movie villain. Then said, "HOW is it POSSIBLE to not KNOW what engine if you were just talking about buying an alternator?" He was on speakerphone, with my family and girlfriend present. They all looked shocked and I sat there not knowing what to say, before hanging up on him. Between us all, we have easily spent tens of thousands of dollars at Geller's. In one sentence, he lost all of us as customers forever. I have never been spoken to this way by a business. Not ever. If I was an old woman, anyone else, he wouldn't DARE speak to me that way. I'm not a car person, but he's not an expert in any of the many things I'm an expert in either. Respect is not hard to do. I am very open to admitting the things I don't know and ask questions all the time to learn. It would have cost him NOTHING to just respond with- "no problem, let's figure it out". In this case, it cost his business thousands of dollars of future income. Strongly recommend to trust your gut and instinct when you meet these people and avoid at all costs. I wish I did that years ago.

I really didn't want to go back to the place where I purchased my tires for repair because the last time I had a damaged tire they insisted I needed a new one. Even at a pro-rated price, that was NOT in my budget this week! I drive by Mt. Arlington Service Center almost daily but have never had occasion to use it. So, this morning, I stopped by without an appointment to see if they thought the tire was repairable. They said it was, so after doing some local errands I stopped by to pick it up. They told me that the rim was slightly damaged and the tire was leaking air so they had needed to do a simple repair. They re-installed the repaired tire and filled my other three tires while I waited and charged me a fair, reasonable price for doing so. I really appreciated their honesty in not trying to sell me a new tire and willingness to simply repair my damaged tire expeditiously. It was much appreciated. I will definitely consider returning for any future repair or service needs!

I have been taking my vehicles here for over 10 years. They are knowledgeable and don't try and sell me other services. If I do need something that I am unaware of they print out a form to let me see it and make up my mind if I want it or not. I trust these guys with my life! Rather than staying focused on the job, the employee was incredibly petty, passive-aggressive with his delayed greetings, and actively tried to shift blame onto me while literally whining when called out. It felt less like an auto shop and more like dealing with an immature child throwing a tantrum. A customer should never be forced to manage a service advisor's fragile ego or childhood-level behavioral issues just to get a car serviced. To make matters worse, another employee from the shop called me later. Instead of calling to actually rectify a terrible customer experience, it was completely obvious he was just fishing for information, looking for internal gossip, and digging for details about what was said. This shop completely lacks professional guardrails, proper boundaries, and basic respect for their customers. They treat their front desk like a personal living room for emotional games. I will absolutely never step foot in this business again, and I strongly advise anyone looking for a clean, professional, drama-free experience to take their money elsewhere.
