I have nothing but amazing things to say about the coordinator. She is wonderful, responsive and worth every penny. However with my wedding florals I was severely disappointed. From the start everything seemed like it would go great. Then once it came time for payment they were trying to charge $500 over what was originally quoted after taking some items off to fit in our budget. After several conversations I was finally able to get Dana on the phone. She was rude and not flexible at all. It was shady to quote us under our budget in order for us to sign a contract then when it came time to pay and too close to get another vendor. We had to cut things because of their quoting error. Following that came my wedding day. My bridesmaids bouquets had green roses instead of light pink. My maid of honor's was missing and had to be thrown together. My bridal bouquet was also green not white and pink like originally planned. The sweetheart table floral arrangement looked cheap. No one ever reached out to apologize to me after the event. The level of service here was very poor and seemed to be petty due to their quoting error. Do not book Dana for your florals if you don't have an unlimited budget, cause otherwise you'll be treated like crap. read more

I basically had them organize everything for me and choose vendors they like and are familiar with. BEST. DAY. EVER! We currently live in Dallas and got married a few weeks ago at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu. From the very first interview with Laura Hazzard at DB Creativity, she gave us the confidence that we would be in good hands with her as our planner. We chose to do the full planning package with design and it was possibly our second best decision after deciding to get married. From a planning/coordination perspective, Laura helped us save money at every step of the process by negotiating with vendors and advising us where we didn't need to spend. We just had our son's bar mitzvah party last weekend at the Annenberg Beach House. Dana and Laura helped with the planning of our event from start to finish. I had a very specific idea of what I wanted for the party, and Dana and Laura helped to make that idea a reality. They recommended vendors, helped coordinate with all of the vendors, provided decor, advice, hand holding and much more. The evening of the event went off without a hitch. Dana was there at the venue hours before the party started to make sure that everyone and everything was ready to go from the moment we arrived. As soon as I arrived, she made sure I had a much needed glass of wine in my hand. Any time Dana saw me looking around for something, she was by my side to get whatever I needed. Wow!!! I cannot speak highly enough about how incredibly detailed, confident, and professional Laura is as a planner. In September 2017, my husband and I had 50 of our closest friends and family join us in MYKONOS GREECE, for our wedding. Starting about 9 months out, Laura held my hand and walked me through the process of organizing and planning the wedding of our dreams. Everything from dress selection, to negotiations with vendors, she made it her mission to keep every single detail in order, which allowed me to focus my attention elsewhere. She kept meticulous notes of each detail in a shared excel spreadsheet, so that we could both keep track of what needed to be done, and how much we were spending. Throwing a 4-day destination wedding in Mykonos ain't cheap! But Laura made sure that we got the best prices on each of our purchases, and would often send me creative ideas of ways we could save money. When it came time for our wedding, it only made sense to fly Laura to Greece to accompany us on our big day. From the moment our guests arrived in Europe, she remained in constant contact with them, quickly solving problems, which again, freed me and my husband up, to enjoy our guests. She arranged all of our site visits, tours and tastings, a few days before the wedding, which helped to ease any nerves I had about The Big Day. And of course on the day of our wedding, she coordinated with the local teams to make sure everything went off without a hitch. I am a bride who got married this past May 2016, and I would HIGHLY recommend Laura and Dana at DB Creativity! Their relationships with vendors, ability to listen and carry out a creative vision, and eye for detail were all critical in making my wedding day even better than we had imagined. Here are just a few examples of how Laura and Dana went above and beyond for my wedding: Negotiating prices/extras - Because of their long-standing relationships with vendors in the LA area, they were able to negotiate rates for several of my vendors. The savings from the vendors ended up covering the cost of their services and more! For example, they were able to get us out of our catering minimum (we had 110 guests, but were supposed to pay for a minimum of 150), which saved us thousands of dollars. The week before, they were also able to get us complimentary specialty seating for our cocktail area (beautiful cabana and chairs) because of their relationship with the rentals vendor. Throughout the process, they made budgeting very easy, with a detailed budget spreadsheet and several check-ins to make sure we stayed on track. They also put together mock budgets for three different venues when we were trying to decide where to have the wedding. Eye for details - Laura's background in project management gives her an extreme eye for detail, and I felt so supported knowing that she would make sure everything went according to the vision! She has a detailed binder with notes from all of our prior meetings, and she would consistently check in to make sure we covered off on everything that we talked about. When working with vendors, she always knew the right questions to ask to make sure that we got exactly what we were looking for. When it came to floral, both Dana and Laura were extremely good at getting me to articulate my vision clearly. At our sample appointment, they got the bouquets and table settings exactly right, giving us several options to work with. They had such a strong eye for detail that when I told them I was iffy about a certain kind of rose because of the coloring on the outer petals, they offered to pick the outer petals off of each rose for every center piece in order to get it right. Seamlessly working with vendors - Dana and Laura made working with vendors extremely seamless and easy. They knew the exact vendors to recommend that were both high quality and within our budget. And we honestly loved all of the vendors they recommended - the DJ, photographer, officiant, baker...even the vendor we used to order the booze! When working with vendors, Laura was great at facilitating calls when they involved multiple parties and checking in with vendors so that they were aware of all day-of details. When it threatened to rain the week leading up to our wedding, Laura knew the exact vendor to call about tenting, and when we decided not to go with a tent, she knew exactly who to call to order 60 large white umbrellas for our guests! No stress on the day-of - Laura went above and beyond on the day of our wedding to make sure that no one involved in our wedding would be stressed out by wedding details. Everything was delegated through her, so that my parents and my wedding party didn't have to worry about doing anything except having fun! All of the officiant forms, tips, place cards, decor, etc. were handed off ahead of time so that we didn't have to worry about it. Laura was also great about rallying the wedding party and making sure they knew what they were doing for the ceremony and for the grand entrance. Laura and Dana made sure that we stuck to our detailed timeline and that my husband and I didn't miss a beat. Quick problem solving - Dana and Laura were quick to solve any problems that came up during planning and especially on the day-of. For example, during our grand entrance, the music suddenly shut off! In the moment, Laura made sure that the DJ kept things moving as the rest of our wedding party made their entrances, while Dana worked with the venue to understand what was happening. From the guest perspective, everything continued as normal and by the time my husband and I made our grand entrance, the music was already back on. No big deal. What we later found out was that our venue had noise restrictions so when the DJ started playing music, the decibel reader registered a noise level that was too high and shut the system down. In a matter of minutes, Dana was able to work with our venue to move the decibel reader farther away from the dance floor so that we could play our music at a sound level that our guests could hear and enjoy. I had two events this past weekend, a B'nai Mitzvah for my twins and a brunch. Both events were planned by Dana at DB Creativity. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, start to finish. One of the best things about Dana is her ability to listen to her clients and make their dream come alive. And in our case, my thirteen year old daughter changed her dream more times than I can count and yet when she walked into the room, she immediately said, "Everything is perfect. Much better than I ever thought it could be." Dana does not miss a detail and has a solution for every problem. In our case, the biggest problem was an outside event that had to be moved indoors due to rain and a mudslide. I was so disappointed about this, yet when I entered the room she created for our service, I was blown away. My guests raved about everything and we couldn't have been happier.
