Two of us selected the straight dry and it lasted all week. Another got a curly style but because her hair is naturally straight and thick it lasted only 36 hours or so afterwards nice waves remained. My daughters usually wash their hair daily but after the dry they were using plastic caps to protect it. Service was very good from the minute they answer the phone Cons Parking only valet or try the marina (I went round and round and had to return to valet or would miss appointment) They will not put the tip on your bill, only cash. The place is rather small and I can see it getting packed pretty soon if they keep up the good work. Tip If the owner is there you can request a haircut . Found by accident and happy it's so close that I'm able to walk over. Found it, went in and was able to book a blow out appointment for the exact time I needed it that late afternoon. My hair is thin and tends to frizz when I fix it but it stays better with blowouts and a lot less frizz. They did a great job. Nice and friendly staff. read more

So glad I did! the little off the beaten path blow bar is adorable. I made an appointment on a Sunday with Ange. I couldn't have been happier. The perfect blow out. Bonus points that I asked about their tape in extensions and was able to purchase, have a perfect color match and inserted by Thursday night. Yadi did my tape ins and it is absolute perfection! I had a great expert at DB last night. I nevvvvaaaa do anything to my hair. It's curly and thankfully I don't have to color it, so I wash it and it dries. That's my jam. Well we had a party to go to and I decided to channel my inner Cher and have my hair serve as a prop. Firstly, it was great that when we called (hours before said party) DB offered an appointment for practically right then. The salon is located on the ground floor of the Yacht Club at Portofino. I was greeted warmly and the vibe in general was warm and inviting. Angie was my stylist and just as sweet and professional as can be. She took her time and really made my hair sleeeeek. I got took!!! I went in with a girlfriend and we both had Groupons. The owner came in and said he was going to give me a new look. After all was said and done I walked out of there with a $500 haircut and color. I felt ill. Yes I paid it. Afterward I kept asking myself if I just paid that much for my hair.... I felt like I was manipulated. I never asked what it was going to cost and he never said anything about the cost. Yes I should have asked but damn! I was expecting to pay a lot.... maybe half of that. His online pricing was no where near that cost. Beware of the Groupon hook to get you in. A friend of mine who lives at the yacht club booked me an appointment before an event we had to attend. I was blown away at how amazing the whole experience was. Clean environment, amazing staff, and I looked like a princess when she was done. I've never had my hair done before and I will definitely have them so it again. Additionally, as I sat in the chair I explained that my normal haircut cost of $20 was expensive for me and Giancarlo said nothing. If you want to get the worst blow dry of your life and be charged an arm and a leg, this is the place for you. They quote you $55 and up and charge you $95 for a simple blow dry without even using a hot tool. Not even the girl that comes to do my hair at my house charges me this much for a blowout. The most dirty and disgusting salon I have ever been to. The place is literally falling apart and there's hair everywhere. The towels are dirty. The two Italian guys are two scam artists hoping to get rich off clients, and arguing with every single one of them that leaves because they overcharge them. They charged the woman in front of me $125 because she had extensions. One of them shows you pictures of how he did hair in the 1950s and how good he is. He shampooed my hair and I can tell you he has no idea what the hell he's doing. Worst shampoo of my life. The girl that did my hair did her very best, but probably this was one of the worst blow dries I've ever gotten in my entire career. When I asked him how the hell he could charge me $95 for the hair that I was leaving was, he told me those are the prices. I think him and told him I would never be back. All the reviews that you see on here are fake, the only real ones are the bad ones. The health department should pay them a visit. Good luck to anyone that decides to go here. read more

I had a groupon for $39 for this place for a haircut and blow dry. I was able to get an appointment with Tamonie on the same day. I am happy with the haircut I got for the price I paid. She was very pleasant and diligent. The only thing is- the place is very small and not very customer friendly. My appointment was at 7, she was the only stylist working on someone's hair at the time so we didn't start until 7:30. I was able to tip her on the machine so I didn't have to worry about bringing cash. read more

Visited this salon the other day for a quick blow out (turned haircut?). Stylist was nice, but would definitely recommend asking about prices before they start cutting your hair. My $50 blow out became a $250 haircut (with tip). I have been coming now for awhile, but just sat down to write this review. I use them for black tie events, as well as just a weekly blow. They aim to please, and accommodate whatever look you want. They are creative, talented and experienced. When I call, I do not even ask for a particular person because I know that everyone is so good. Obviously, they all do hair a little differently so you should try everyone and use who you like! It is clean, and the price is right!
