I had been using this bakery for probably a little over a year for both business and personal. The cakes are good but the owner is sorely lacking in the way of customer service. I ordered a particular cake for my birthday. I changed to a simpler, less expensive design about a week before the big day. She issued me a store credit for the difference. Upon picking the cake up, it was not the cake I had designed. I'm not sure how she managed to screw that up. She had a description and a drawing that she herself wrote/drew out as we discussed it. She credited $25 to my card. Hardly a fair compensation for the disappointment. Though this is the second time she has screwed up an order for me, I wasn't yet ready to give up. I then placed an order for my son's cake but could only pick it up on a Sunday morning. She refused to allow it. She specially told me that she was not be available after 8am on that Sunday which led me to believe if it were any other Sunday, she'd be open to it. I told her I would gladly pick it up well before 8am. She refused. I do understand that she has business hours that do not include a Sunday but considering the fact that she so irresponsibly messed up my birthday cake, I would have expected her to accommodate me in this small way. When I requested reimbursement for the store credit, she again refused. Why she would insist on forcing a dissatisfied customer to continue to do business with her is beyond me but so be it. I strongly advise anyone thinking of doing business here to consider another bakery or at least have a backup. It was fantastic n very delicious in both the smothering, creamy, pink icing and the juicy, alcohol infused cake itself. The cake and icing were very delicious, very moist and very flavorful. The alcohol in it was a great add on and not overpowering to the rest. You could taste all three in one bite. This is one of the best strawberry cakes I have ever eaten along with the ones from Dessert Gallery and The Chocolate Bar.
