Was craving some coffee during my inpatient stay here at UCHealth. Their are two Dazbog Coffee shops in the hospital (SideNote: The company was founded by a couple of Slovakian brothers). I went to the one inside the Garden View Cafe at around 9:45pm. A security guard was chatting up the barista, which I didn't mind because unlike some workers around the globe, she could multi-task. Wanted to go with a Mexican latte but decided against it on account of I don't know how cinnamon is gonna agree with my face hole. Anywho, I decided on their Karamel Kreme Latte on ice. Pretty dag gum delicious I'd say. The coffee has a real robust flavor to it. Bold and pronounced. She didn't oversweeten the drink which I appreciated and it had a satisfying creamy finished as implied. I decided to get a pastry on my way back up to my room and with my Medium drink (which honestly seemed like a Small in any other beverage based business), the price came to just under $10. A little rich for my blood TBH. But at that hour in the bottom bowels of a hospital they know, "Where else ya gonna go?" If they were a little more reasonable with the prices, then Id be tacking on another star. Very slow. The staff was friendly when see got to me. The coffee was not very good. Also it hours of opening was not great. It says open at 6:30 but it was not until 7;00 that staff arrived. read more

This is the kiosk in the lobby of the outpatient core area of Anschutz. I tried to find something to eat and drink while my husband was having surgery in the adjacent Eye Clinic which no refreshments option of it own. It's easy to walk between the buildings as they are nicely connected with interior hallways. Sadly their choices have not improved since the last time I considered it, well before the pandemic, when it was closed. I do not know when it reopened as I have not had need to use it since all of my visits have been very brief. I settled on a cup of tea and a slice of lemon poppyseed cake which I often enjoy elsewhere. The tea was ok but water so hot in a paper cup, even with a cardboard sleeve on it, I needed to let it sit on a windowsill in the lobby fo far longer than planned. While I waited for it to cool, I ate the cake which was overly sweet and almost oily. The staff was the best part. They greeted me and were pleasant, one woman training a new one. I wish they had a coffee option I like or at least a way to use less than boiling hot water for tea. That hot does not work well at any company. read more

Dazbog is the best! They keep all of us awake for our long shifts at the hospital. So glad we have two Dazbogs at UCH Anschutz!

I tried a blackberry scone that was huge and bland. Scones in general are on the bland side but this 1 was especially bland. It had a marbled almost green/purple color that resembled mold. I had a specialty ice coffee as recommended by an employee and thought it was great but expensive. This place is located in the University Hospital on the first floor. It is next to the cafeteria so there is plenty of seating options. There's also outdoor seating options past the hall. They have a number of blended ice coffee drinks, teas, fruit smoothies, and pastries. I tried their lavender lemonade iced tea and thought it was okay. I liked that they had fun seasonal drinks like this one. read more

How nice to have a locally owned Coffee Shop chain inside the hospital. All of your favorite espresso coffee drinks, teas and blended/ smoothies are available. Variety of pastries and breakfast burritos just like in a stand alone location. Service is prompt just as you'd expect in a fast paced atmosphere like a hospital. read more

Really nice to have at the hospital! The burritos are great, I have had the egg and potato, the steak and the bacon and love them all for a snack or breakfast. I miss my home coffee shop having just moved here a month ago but this definitely hits the spot on a day I am craving it. I think you definitely pay a premium having it inside the hospital but pretty comparable prices to Starbucks for far better coffee. I like to go to Dazbog for my daily fix of caffeine when I work. My favorite drinks are definitely the chocolate cappucino and the mocha. For cold drinks, I recommend trying the lavender ice tea during the spring time. It's a little on the pricey side but I think it's worth it if it keeps me up and functioning throughout my shift. This 5 star review is for Josh. He is one of the shift managers that is always working at night time when i work. He is so friendly and knows all the people who come to get coffee from him. He personally went out of his way to help me get what I want every time. One day during the winter time when i really wanted the lavender ice tea lemonade but it wasn't in season, instead of turning me down, he gave me lavender syrup for free and told me to just get lemonade from the cafeteria. That is so nice of him! I really enjoy getting my coffee and tea from this Dazbog and they have better service than most other retail chain coffee shops I've been to. Great job Josh! read more

*This is a review for only the smoothies.* I ordered a large strawberry banana smoothie. As I saw the lady make it it contained a very sugary premixed dark red mixture and then she added ice to blend it. After first sip, it tasted like a rich artificial strawberry mixture that had no banana in it. I had two sips and then it away. There goes $5.15. See picture attached. You wouldn't expect to find a great cup of coffee at a hospital, but man I'm glad I did. I have always been a huge fan of Dazbog, but I didn't know about their incredible pastries until I had to visit their regularly for 3 weeks. For chocoholics, you must try the chocolate frosting covered brownies. They are heavenly. My one complaint could be that they are too big to eat at one time, but then again that only means more for later. I also LOVE their macaroons. They are hard one the outside and densely moist on the inside. They are perfect for dipping in a cup of coffee. I don't wish to visit University Hospital, but if I have to I will definitely swing by Dazbog in the cafeteria. read more

It's a coffee shop. So I ordered an iced latte. I watched them put in powder, then more powder, then liquid, then ice. Blend. It tasted like powder, and liquid, and frothy ice. And sugar. I'll give them a second try and order a hot latte. But that doesn't excuse a fake iced "latte". If this was the "chiller" or something by mistake, I still wouldn't recommend it. I had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful staff at this Dazbog location. The place was busy, the staff was amazing and happy. One worker was singing as he was cleaning. The rest of the staff kept up with the pace and served you with a smile. My drink came out fast and delicious. Z was my server and she was a complete sweetheart! I reached this outlet at 420 to be told that no coffee will be served as they apparently had a slow day and the lady was ready to shut. She was rude and very dismissive about it. I had no idea that the place could be shut based on the whims of an individual. Note the place is supposed to shut only by 5. So much for that. In truth, I'm not a huge fan of Dazbog coffee, but the friendly service at this particular location makes up for the less-than-perfect coffee. They have a nice, small selection of baked goods. I've tried several varieties (hence, blowing my diet on several occasions), and can honestly say they've been good. Their dessert breads have a nice crumb, and aren't gummy. They said their freezer was down on Monday so there wasn't any ice cream. On Tuesday they had ice cream and today no ice cream because the freezer was down. Clearly they don't realize that people are here for weeks and notice the inconsistency of the freezer not working or maybe just the fact that they don't want to put out the ice cream... read more

I have heart failure amongst many other health issues and I tried to stop by the dozbog in the hospital before a Rheumatology appointment. What normally takes one person who wants to be there 4 minutes took 3 Idiots who did not want to be there 10 minutes. They made me wait while the one that was in the middle of blending my shake stops to help the other employee by handing him three trash bags. He then finishes blending my shake and then decides to wash his hands. I won't be stopping here again. If I would have tipped cash instead of tipped on my card I would have reached back into the tip bucket and taken my dollar back. read more

The service here is hit or miss... us usually miss. I've come about a dozen times and half of those my drink has been forgotten. The other day I was in while the cashier got in a loud verbal altercation with a customer, then the cashier ranted about the altercation after it was over. (Based on my observation the cashier was unnecessarily rude and the upset customer was in the right.) Very immature. Not where I prefer to give my business. read more

I have been going to Dazbogs at Childrens since 11/2016 due to ongoing recovery of my child and they are definitely hit or miss. Today, I got charged for cream in my coffee. I questioned the cashier as to when they started charging for cream in coffee and He stated "you just must not have ever been charged before." Well Dazbog over $.65 and poor customer service, you just lost a bunch of customers, $3.42 for a cup of coffee in a Children's Hospital is outrageous. read more

Pretty Sad... Their app is down so can't take payment that way, there is a sign up that their credit card machine wasn't working right either... Literally watched a woman scrounge around for her last pennies to pay... Had to leave after 10 minutes without getting my drink because the employee at the register was so inefficient. Went there 10 minutes after they opened before a long day at the hospital this morning and the two people there were so rude I decided to wait until the hospital cafeteria opened an hour later to get a cup of coffee and muffin. I simply asked "are you guys open?" and the girl rolled her eyes at me and said "I guess" and I didn't want to inconvenience them so I said calmly "is that a yes?" and they guy says snarkily "I'll be with you in a moment" so I said "oh that's ok, I'll try again later." They even patronized me as I walked away. Sorry...that is unacceptable at any rate but even more so when I'm willing to spend $7 on a middle-of-the-road cup of coffee and another $3 on a muffin. So much for spending my money locally. :( Think I will just go to Starbucks from now on. Really bummed me out and not a good start to the day. read more
