Great place for a red beer, I love their peanuts and beef jerky beer as well! Fuck my life, perfect for a hang over or just a snack!

Miguel and Danny are super friendly and knowledgeable on everything. I loved watching them and learning the craft. The drinks are delicious and the atmosphere is calm and inviting. We like to sit at the bar but the other seating areas are also comfortable.

I've never had food here (I don't actually recall a food menu), but I've enjoyed beer and cocktails here. Nothing super memorable, but all good. The service has always been fine, but also not memorable. My 4 stars are for the overall vibe/ambiance, the varied seating options and good drinks. This is the kind of place that has a happy-to-stumble-into evening cafe kind of vibe. Especially if there's music. p.s. I've read the comment from the owner, but I looked at photos again carefully and I have the right establishment. I am a local and know the area. I've definitely seen live music here (I can add that it's been more than a year.) Perhaps there's been a change of ownership since then? Otherwise, I'd say that there are things occurring at the business of which you're not aware.

So I, of course, feeling the need always to explore new cocktail bars or restaurants in my hometown when visiting home, was pretty excited for the opportunity to check out Hush Hush. As a true millennial Gemini, I celebrate my birthday for the whole month, so I quickly texted my family and friends; this is where I wanted to go. What I love about Hush Hush is how it's encouraging and pushing folks to step out of their comfort zone in their attire and dress more to the vibes of this cocktail house (Think Soho, ABA, Casablanca, and Elephante). You're bound to see more desert tones, muted colors, flowy pants, basically anything resort wear. It's cool to see this cocktail house make you feel like you're not in El Paso. The music is different, more loungey, to where you can hear everyone at your table. Of course, there's still a DJ, but damn, Hush Hush is intentionally geared for those who love to go out but need top-shelf cocktails without the eye rolls or the bartenders staring at us with blank eyes. Hush Hush is a true game changer. The lines might get crazy, but I suggest getting there early so you can snag your photos and a solid table/spot. There are three main bar areas, but my fave was the velvet room. I suggest catching a drink on the second floor if you get there early enough to get an eagle eye's view of the establishment. Attention to detail was on point, and I appreciated the homework and research done before the opening of this spot. It's an elevated experience for the city and one I wish every city in the States had tbh.

That's the whole point of the establishment's existence. (No one else seemed to care about anything but hard seltzers and shots). The bartender said they could still make things from the previous menu, but they didn't have that available, either. She recommended two Jameson-based options, but could think of nothing else. So, I got a beer. I asked for any stouts or porters aside from Guinness, but there weren't any. I asked about one beer she said was "dark", but it was a Pilsner. I like pilsners, so I ordered it...but for the record, they are nothing close to a dark beer. I saw they had Crown Apple after I had started my beer and asked a different bartender if they had Coke Zero. I was told that when he wants a soda he goes to the bar next door. After an alarming number of exchanges, I learned that they DO have Coke, just not any diet varieties. Instead, I later chose a margarita. Yes, it's cute they serve it in a tea cup, but consider that tea cups are very small and there is ice, so it was almost a non-alcoholic beverage. DJ was cool, but, "all night disco" was really some mashup of a few disco/funk songs with some 90s hip hop and a good deal of 80s pop mixed in. Now, it was crazy FUN, but not what I was expecting. Definitely won't be back. I know there is the charm of drinking at grandma's, but it's really just a lousy hipster dive bar with thrift store art on the walls. The second star is just for having a fun dj (brought in a fun crowd).
