Bad produce, bad meat, bad deli, bad help, extremely high prices. They do not even deserve 1 star.

It's the best place in town to stock up on groceries…read more I'll compare the other two grocery stores I like, but which aren't *the* place to stock up: The Safeway on the other side of town is more convenient for me, and has a decent pharmacy built in. Like WinCo, everyone is friendly and helpful, but WinCo has significantly better prices, even considering Safeway's loyalty card. The Moscow Food Co-op is also great, but somehow I spend a fair amount of money every time I go in there. I feel OK about that because I think they treat employees fairly and there is always a great selection of really good locally sourced foods. And although WinCo's deli is fine, the Deli/Coffee Bar at the Co-op is in a different league with amazing hot food, plus the cozy, welcoming seating area, and occasional live music. At WinCo, I really like the bulk foods, especially the grind-it-on-the-spot almond butter and peanut butter. (The Moscow Food Co-op is the other place I know with fresh-ground peanut butter and bulk foods, but a bit more expensive.) The prices and selection are great, and I like not wasting or paying for a bunch of dumb packaging and marketing. They have bulk spices, all kinds of nuts, pastas, flours, dried fruit, candies, even dry dog food. (Oh, WalMart groceries: Just Say No. Surprisingly, they're not the best prices, not the best quality, and WalMart is still kind of evil.) As other reviewers have mentioned, the produce isn't always today's freshest, straight from the field, but it's the same as Safeway: It spent another day or two on a truck compared to a big city on the coast. But if you shop for seasonal produce, they're great, with the best prices. For example, last summer, I could afford all the avocados I could eat thanks to Winco, while they were really expensive elsewhere. They have a good cheese and dairy selection and again, great prices, and the bakery seems fine (I don't buy much baked stuff). Oh, they had super cheap, really tasty pumpkin pies before Thanksgiving. My hungry teenagers loved them. I'll keep going to the Moscow Food Co-op for local produce and a hot meal/coffee from their Deli, and Safeway for medicines and quick trips when I run out of milk or eggs, but to stock up for the month/week, WinCo is the place.

Excellent quality produce and great prices on most everything in the store! Check it out for…read moreyourself!!!

I'm disappointed that andy's market has essentially "sold out" to giant corporate interests. A…read moregrocery store built on the premise of healthy options now sells mostly main stream junk food products from the mega corporation Pepsico which uses very manipulative advertising and false claims. Their cereal is mostly sugar based, same effect on the brain as cocaine and proven to cause brain rot. There are few to no organic options I buy such as hummus, cereal, chips, non sweetened fruit, bread, unprocessed protein options, and milk. Personally I don't like being "served", I think required politeness and civility hurts workers by emotionally enslaving them and isn't authentic to the history of the products, how they are made, and what they really are. Instead of processing the history of products they are selling empty emotional transactional "vibes" essentially trying to emotionally own the transaction. Payment shouldn't be a value The bulk food section is an option with a wide selection though not as many organic options as I'd prefer. The vitamin selection is adequate though I'd prefer to buy medicinal tinctures in larger quantities than available. The vegetarian processed food is too expensive to buy on a budget, non organic, and have way too much oil and salt in them. Most of the brands sold are lecherous and emotionally manipulative. I know they are trying to process their "biblical" beliefs but "killer" bread, "love" cereal, "gold" milk, "Morningstar" vege food, is just garbage.

We try and avoid Walmart as, well its Walmart. But considering there is only one small independent grocery or this... The little store is fine, but they are always WAY overpriced. I realize they are not able to buy in the bulk that the big stores do. But its 3 or 4 times higher. I just cant/dont want to spend that $$$. So, this Walmart, WORST in at lease 30 states that we have been to. I think I discovered 2 or 3 English speaking employees. Thats it. But the clientele calls for Spanish speakers so there ya go. Now I'm not trying to start a race discussion. Thats not my point, or who I am. The point is, out of all the registers they have available they had 2, that's TWO open. On a busy weekend day. So my husband stands in one of them and I go explore the possibility of the other. Both seem equally horrid, so he stays put. Neither line moves for a good 5 minutes. Up I go to investigate what is going on. The line we were in, the customer did not have enough money. Hey it happens. I get it. What I don't get is the cashier standing there looking at the screen. She never had to reverse an item? I've seen them do it. It takes seconds. I'm not execrating when I say it was at least ten minutes. Thats being generous. She stood and staired at the register for that long! So I go back and tell my husband lets try the other line. Hes lined up way back in womans clothes so we find the end of the other line. I walk up front to see what's going on there. Food stamp issue. Or SNAP card or whatever it is now. AGAIN the cashier standing looking at her register as if it will fix itself. I'm reasonably sure they deal with food stamps all day every day. I don't care that the person had the card, not saying that. It was not the customer's fault! Its the brain-dead cashiers. Im again not kidding when I say she was standing there mouth breathing for several minutes! Finally, a "supervisor" comes over. They are both poking at the register. Darn thing wont fix itself!! By some miracle of epic proportions, they figure it out. All tolled we stood at the register in line for 30 minuets. If we didn't need food and other items I would have left after the first 5 minutes of watching the mouth breathing employees. Was this the first day for all 3 employees I saw today? If so dont leave them alone!! When you come here, be prepared to wait, and wait, and wait, and wait. And also, to have any frozen item you have in your cart defrost. The people behind us had two cartons of ice cream. I asked him if I should go back and get a pack of spoons so we could all start eating before it melted to the floor.
