We are over six months into a 3 or 4 weeks. The contractor does not return phone calls and, actually, it is the father of the licensee who represents the contractor. I have never met the licensee and the father's name is not on the license. The father hires subcontractors who don't get paid and can't reach the father to ask for clarification about the scope of work. He never visits the site to oversee what's going on. The work appears abandoned. Now, he asks my spouse for another payment. I signed the contract and made payments, but my spouse was begging for the work to be completed in time for my 70th birthday, which should have been completed by the end of 2025. The contract was signed Oct 8, 2025, so it should have been completed by Thanksgiving. Hire Daystar at your own risk. read more
