He's friendly but has a bad memory and didn't take notes as we discussed the job. Basically Damien and his crew have no follow through at all. Once on the job he'll forget most of the things he contracted to do, most of which were in writing in his contract and he'll simply leave you hanging. I had to remind him several times during the job what he had contracted to do, things he said he "remembered" or "understood" differently. They were in writing! He even called his own communication skills into question when I had to ask, again, why he wasn't doing the job per the contract. He offered to Clean up the pine needles and pine cones from my side yard. They didn't have a spare minute to address that at all. During our initial walk through, as I described the work I wanted done, he referred to "his crew", which sounded reassuring. He estimated the whole project would take Thursday, Friday and "into Saturday". He arrived with one man Thursday, they got very behind and never recovered. They spent the next 3 days in a rush, desperately cutting and tossing pavers into place til 7 pm Saturday. He returned Monday to finish the job until he had to leave to go buy a new truck early afternoon. He and his guy just took off and left several piles of ugly messes in my yard for me to clean up. I sent him photos and he didn't reply. The best part? Since the job was completed to his liking, he invoiced me $3000K+ on July 14, to be paid "before July 29 to avoid late fees". The very next day he charged my credit card that amount with no notice to me! Told me it was his right. I gave one star because I did get my paver patio. After that I've had nothing but bad business practice and frustration. And absolute silence when I reached out.
