Daylight Donuts is my favorite spot for donuts in NWA! It's tucked away in a strip mall in Lowell. I was lucky enough to have met Kim and Kelly (owner), when I made a quick stop in for some donuts and kolaches. Kim was working the front and helped me navigate what I wanted. Y'all this lady is probably one of the best people in NWA. She was SO sweet, friendly and made my whole week! Everyone in the food service industry needs to learn from Kim- she is FABULOUS- cares about the company and her customers! Let's get onto the donuts- YUM. I tried the glazed, blueberry cake and strawberry glazed cake. They were so good! The blueberry cake donut was perfectly cooked on the outside and moist on the inside and the blueberry taste wasn't overpowering or artificially tasting (WIN!). The glazed was just how I like it- not overly sweetened and doughy. The strawberry glaze on the cake donut was phenomenal- I have a weak spot for strawberry glazed donuts! They also have kolaches! I tried the sausage and cheese and sausage cheese and jalapeño! If you like a little kick- try the jalapeño one. The sausage tastes great and the cheese is gooey and compliments it perfectly! They have plenty of seating inside. They also cater for FREE on orders over $25- Woohoo! If you like fast and friendly service and delicious, cheap donuts, Daylight is your spot. Specifically, once he was alerted by her out-of-state father that she frequently arrived to his shop only to discover that the long john was sold out, he made a special delivery to satisfy her craving. Daylight is a local chain with at least two stores in the Springdale area. This location is a hole in the walI joint but it's clean and the food is good. I like their cheese sausage in a blanket. Their donuts are good too. read more

so on google maps right now they are listed as shipley's. the street view even showed a shipleys sign but when you get closer you see that its the same spot but daylight donuts. i only eat donuts maybe once every 2-3 months as i prefer sugar via IV but had a craving this morning. i figured since im here and not that discerning with donuts i just get something. they are definitely a yeast based donut and so glad i got just the plain glaze that i did. i want to say they probably took some learnings as a shipleys location and just applied it to daylight but i wont go there. regardless its legit. i prefer these sooooooooo much vs the boring plain glaze that you find at many places like dunkin or grocery stores. krispy kreme is amazing but its so oily but when its warm its like the law to eat them anyway. i was really really suprised how good it was. its parallel to the street in the huge shopping center that its located in. again im not the most frequent donut consumer but this was fantastic. google maps will update their name too soon oh for what its worth it was $0.76 for a single glazed donut read more

This business is in the Overland Square Shopping Center on 71 Business right around where it changes from N. Thompson in Springdale to Bloomington in Lowell. There is a Subway restaurant in the same center and across the street is a KFC. This business is owned by a great guy named Kelly McCool. How's that for a cool name, right? You usually see Kelly working in the kitchen or behind the counter. There's nothing he won't do for his customers. Their donuts are delicious and I also enjoy the kolaches (a kolache is a rounded pastry that can be filled with different sweets, fruits or meats) too.
