NWA? - Nope, this isn't a secretly run donut shop that Dr. Dre and Ice Cube are invested in; it's just a small-town mom and pop business with a gangsta sounding name. I recently went to Bentonville, Arkansas for work and was able to explore the city during my last day there. I had probably driven by the NWA Donut shop about five times at this point, and was really intrigued by the name and the random location. I mean it's settled-in all by itself in a vacant strip mall, bookended with a dive bar and a juice/yoga studio, what a country! I stopped in and instantly felt like Marty McFly right before he asked for a "Pepsi Free" in that Hill Valley malt shop. With all eyes on me, I made my way to counter and was greeted by a very sweet old lady and started ordering donuts. I went with a classic pink frosting donut, two old fashioned, one with chocolate and one blueberry, a bear claw, and a Kolache with a jalapeno sausage inside. The donuts were good, but they could have sat in the fryer for at least another minute. When keepin' it real with NWA you must try the Blueberry Old Fashioned and the Bear Claw, soft, sweet and melt in your mouth good. The Pink Frosted donut was very doughy and the Chocolate Old Fashioned tasted a little "different", maybe it was the chocolate they used? The Kolache was great, the flaky dough that surrounded the store bought sausage was awesome, buttery and super soft. I could have eaten just bread this minus the nitrate-ciscle. I was teetering on a 3-star review originally for this place, but the customer service was on point and they give out free donut holes with every order. Plus, when you're only paying about $.75 per donut the small hiccups didn't really bother me. By the way... NWA = NorthWest Arkansas. The more you know. read more

I love this donut shop. The donuts are all delicious, and I've tried quite a few, but what makes it the best donut shop ever are the owners, Lang and Sokha (husband and wife). They are the most genuinely kind people you will ever meet. Lang, also wrote a book about his life story (he survived the Khmer Rouge Regime and many other life and death situations). I bought the book and it was an amazing story and keeps things in perspective. There is plenty of parking out front and they have some seating inside. They have a wide variety of donuts and drinks to choose from. You definitely need to check out their shop and get some donuts and his book!! read more

Was referred here seperately by the concierge at our hotel and a local friend. Whole experience exceeded expectations. Amazing selection, top notch quality donuts. Three employees and no one will make coffee for customer. You really need to look up the meaning of customer service. read more

I've been looking for my favorite donut shop since I've moved beginning of may and I can honestly say I've found it. This place is amazing and their donuts are so good. They are also some of the sweetest people I've ever met. My fiancé and I went as soon as they opened because we were awake and they gave us some fresh donut holes for free. They were amazing. I arrive 15 minutes after opening, the open sign is on, and the door is LOCKED. It's 39 degrees outside and there is no one to be seen as I tap on the glass with my car key, 5 minutes later as I'm about to leave the gentleman starts walking from the back to the door to let me in. He feigned an obligatory apology. The case of the case: Where are the hot fresh donuts? There are a couple dozen assorted donuts that were obviously left over from the day before based on the low qty and hodge-podge mixture. NO GLAZED AVAILABLE AND I WAS THE FIRST CUSTOMER OF THE DAY!! (Assumed so BC the door was still locked upon arrival) So I drove to Lowell and will never be back. May try Ricks Bakery as it opens in 5 minutes as a local alternative. read more

Sometimes I or my colleagues will bring a couple dozen donuts to the office. When someone brings Krispy Kreme, they sit in the break room all day and often some get thrown out. A couple dozen daylight donuts never lasts until the end of the day. They're amazing! read more
