There were lots of comfy seating options, and tons of natural light pouring in. I ordered a hot tea (they feature Tazo brand), then went over to sit on the big black couch across from the fireplace. They had lots of crayons and a few board game options. Lots of art on the walls, and oh, the plants! I love businesses that have love plants in them. After about 15 minutes, I was feeling better, so we hopped back in the car and got back on the road. I am so thankful for such a comfortable place to take a quick rest.

This charming, historic sweet shop located in Frisco opened in 1946 when Robert and Helen Foote…read morepurchased the property. However, its history goes back even further to the late 1800s. It also once served as the town's post office, general store, and gas station. The main building originally consisted of a one-room, wood plank cabin which is still standing today and attached to the larger white main house. The property expanded into its current state as the years went on. Fixtures from it's heyday as a post office can still be seen in the building which adds to all the charm. Inside you'll find an array of sweets available from individual candies to homemade fudge, homemade ice cream, and more. The ice cream is available by the scoop or as a shake, float, or sundae. I love fudge and got a couple of different flavors. They were really tasty, but also very sweet, so a little goes a long way. My favorite was the Tiger Butter and the Raspberry Swirl. I also got a coffee malted shake which was delicious. I would've wanted it to be a little thicker, but it was good nonetheless. It was a little pricey for what it was, $10.25 for a small shake and around $5 per piece of fudge (about 1/4 pound). Overall, this is a cute stop if you're in the area and craving a bit of sweets and I loved the historical aspect as well. To this day, the historic Foote's Rest landmark still remains in the Foote family.
