How does a donut shop run out of donuts before 10:30 on a Saturday morning? I'm not sure but Daylight Donuts figured out how.

We happened to be passing Copper Mountain, and saw a Conoco ahead. As we pulled in, we saw an adjoining coffee shop. We went in and I was immediately put at ease. There were lots of comfy seating options, and tons of natural light pouring in. I ordered a hot tea (they feature Tazo brand), then went over to sit on the big black couch across from the fireplace. They had lots of crayons and a few board game options. Lots of art on the walls, and oh, the plants! I love businesses that have love plants in them. After about 15 minutes, I was feeling better, so we hopped back in the car and got back on the road. I am so thankful for such a comfortable place to take a quick rest.

We call the number to make sure they're open since it is in between their winter and summer season, and a lot of shops are closed. We simply ask if they're open, saying we just wanted to call and make sure before going there. Very rudely the guy on the phone responds with, yea we're we ever not open? No need to get snarky on the phone, we were just asking a simple question. After reading other reviews I would not recommend anyone going there based on service and quality.

This charming, historic sweet shop located in Frisco opened in 1946 when Robert and Helen Foote…read morepurchased the property. However, its history goes back even further to the late 1800s. It also once served as the town's post office, general store, and gas station. The main building originally consisted of a one-room, wood plank cabin which is still standing today and attached to the larger white main house. The property expanded into its current state as the years went on. Fixtures from it's heyday as a post office can still be seen in the building which adds to all the charm. Inside you'll find an array of sweets available from individual candies to homemade fudge, homemade ice cream, and more. The ice cream is available by the scoop or as a shake, float, or sundae. I love fudge and got a couple of different flavors. They were really tasty, but also very sweet, so a little goes a long way. My favorite was the Tiger Butter and the Raspberry Swirl. I also got a coffee malted shake which was delicious. I would've wanted it to be a little thicker, but it was good nonetheless. It was a little pricey for what it was, $10.25 for a small shake and around $5 per piece of fudge (about 1/4 pound). Overall, this is a cute stop if you're in the area and craving a bit of sweets and I loved the historical aspect as well. To this day, the historic Foote's Rest landmark still remains in the Foote family.

I don't write many reviews, but came to yelp to read others to see if I was out of my mind or not…read more First and foremost, the place is awesome looking (in Glenwood Springs) so we had to check it out. The minute we walked in, I thought it looked awesome. Lots of random shirts, hats, socks, etc for sale and a decently long line of people waiting for their sugar fix. Sarcasm was flowing from a few of the guys at the register and taking orders, which was also a great thing. As I'm standing in line waiting to order, I'm checking out the random socks. They look cool, but a little odd that there was no price. No big deal, I'm just looking, not buying. But still odd... A guy takes our order (5 people total), again with sarcasm on point. Definitely a place I'd hang out. Breakfast sandwiches for all of us. 3 coffees. 4 bottles of water. ...and of course we had to get a half-dozen doughnuts to sample the different flavors. Can't wait to try everything. Then... The total came to just over $140. One hundred forty dollars! Huh? How? What? The food was good. Everyone liked their breakfast sandwiches. The doughnuts were delicious. I was told the coffees were decent. So if it wasn't for the mind-boggling price I paid, I'd definitely go back, but factoring in the price, on principle alone, I just can't justify it.
