We have always wanted to try this local restaurant that we've passed many times over the years. Last week, we tried it. It was within walking distance to a business fixing our car, so we walked here to wait and eat breakfast. We were seated immediately, and our waitress was helpful & friendly. We looked around, and it is a large place, comfortable and welcoming. I ordered sunny side up eggs with grits and English muffin. Husband got pancakes and sausage links. We both got water, which was the only low point of the meal. It did not taste good, even with the complimentary lemon slice. The food came quickly. Everything was so good! My grits, eggs, and muffin were cooked as requested. So hot and delicious! Husband loved his pancakes, and raved about the sausage links. He wanted to know where they came from. He asked and they promised to find out next time we come back. And we WILL be back. I'll just ask if I can bring my own water bottle. Or I'll have hot tea! By the way, I have no food pictures. I was hungry and ate my meal before realizing I had nothing to photograph but an empty plate. I should have taken its picture, because I was quite happy with what had been on that plate! read more

Great place to come and enjoy a delicious meal with fast friendly service. Warmly greeted immediately upon entering. Got seated at a booth right away. Enjoyed a nice hot cup of coffee which was actually really good. Diner coffee is really hit or miss in my experience and this place is a hit for sure. Menu is full of traditional Greek entrees but since I was here for breakfast I decided to go with the eggs benedict with hash browns. Came out fast and fresh and really good. Eggs were cooked to perfection and coated nicely with the sauce. Hash browns were really good as well. I managed to talk to the owner for a few minutes as I was paying the tab on my way out. Great guy! You can tell he's quite passionate about customer experience and making sure to deliver great food and service. I was a tad bummed that they didn't have any rice pudding to take away but they were fresh out. I see some recent reviews complaining about attitude, but everyone was super friendly with me and my husband. It's a casual diner with great value for the price, and the food tasted good and fresh. Is it a classy place? No. Is it a good diner? Absolutely. Can definitely see myself coming back! I got a basic breakfast, and while it was decent, I found myself wishing I had gotten the fried clams like my husband. So tasty! read more

Nice restaurant lay-out. Convenient location. Lousy food. Mediocre service. Ordered a gyro, a BLT, an omelette, and biscuits with sausage gravy. The gyro was served open-face and the pita bread was stale - at least half of it had the texture of hardtack. Inexcusable. And inedible. The mysterious-looking gyro meat was obviously pre-packaged and then barely re-heated. It was see-through thin and tasteless, and the pieces of mystery meat were very unappetizing in appearance. The tzatziki sauce was a congealed, thick gloppy mess. It wasn't the customary creamy texture and most certainly was not fresh-made. The omelette was served cold. The hash browns were scorched on one side, almost uncooked on the other. Eggs are always best served at least warm. The presentation was odd too as the lump of eggs appeared to have been haphazardly thrown on a large platter. Not a lot of effort was expended serving our omelette. The BLT wasn't any better. The requested sourdough bread was also stale. There was very little bacon - the sandwich was mainly lettuce and tomato. Just a very poor presentation. The biscuit with sausage gravy was edible, but our teenager will eat anything. It looked ok for sausage gravy, and he cleaned his plate. Our server seemed very unsure. She admitted she had only been working for a short period of time. When we asked about some of the menu offerings, a short and very loud waitress who was walking by 'offered' her help with the subtlety of a foghorn by talking over and frankly rudely dominating our hapless server. We left almost 3/4 of our sandwiches and half our omelette on our plates, yet nobody asked us if we enjoyed our meal. Our wait-person simply bussed our table and dropped off the bill. We understand Monday service can sometimes be a bit sketchy. Many restaurants have their B team in after the weekend rush. But if they're open, and they're charging full price, there is a professional responsibility to at least try to serve a quality meal. And a restaurant serving stale bread is a huge no-no. Substituting processed and pre-packaged meat is no bueno. Eggs are always served freshly prepared and hot. Not here. If we're in the area again and want lunch, we'll drive on by this place and keep looking. We won't go back. read more

The whole experience was brought down by our waitress with a nasty attitude when asked about specifics on an entree. I get it you're having a bad day but your whole job is customer service and you ruin peoples experiences. Went to have breakfast with my girlfriend and halfway through her meal she found a large piece of plastic type material in her pancakes. The owner was advised and replaced them with French toast. While paying at the register, the lady that I assume is an owner said that she heard of the incident and didn't even offer to compensate for anything. Why was our table super sticky, and there was things like drink decorations, straw wrappers after the previous customers left on the table you sat us at ?? This would have been a 5 star review if it was only based on food. The service was terrible. It was specifically our waitress though not the others they were great. I had the eggs Benedict and it was perfect. I added Greek yogurt with honey and highly recommend it if you like Greek yogurt! My husband had an omelette and it was also delicious. Yum Who doesn't want a Flaming Skillet for breakfast complete with Opa! I had the breakfast skillet with delicious Ham, Saganaki and crispy hash browns. Love that they even light it on fire. Let me save you the time of reading a long review and just say, "Things are not clean." The surfaces at the tables and bars have stuff and gunk all over them. Worse, the pans are not clean either as you can see from my picture of my ham spinach and feta omelette that is brown in color. I was hungry so I ate the stale toast, a couple bites of the still cold/frozen "home fries" that come from a bag, and 2 bites of that awfully gross omelette. I paid the bill and left. I ordered the chicken and tuna salad sandwich with a side of chips. The chicken salad was one of the worst I've eaten BECAUSE the chicken was so hard!! All these 1/2 inch pieces were like cut off of over cooked chicken bits!! I've never had a chicken salad like that and I am so upset!! I'm only 30 and the chicken was THAT hard I was not going to have a headache and a hurt jaw for a chicken salad!! The tuna salad is plain Jane nothing special. Is there even mayo in it?? lol The side of chips were the best things I got from there!! Freshly fried crispy lightly salted fresh chips..... oh my goodness!!! THATS WHAT UM TAKING ABOUT! We were taking a break from home, overwhelming and busy Miami Beach and three friends traveled up to St. Augustine and came back via St. Pete/Sarasota. We searched for a breakfast place and found this gem, service was excellent by our server Yanni as well as everyone else in the restaurant. The food was delicious and the Bloody Mary's (you get 2 for 1, great deal!) maybe the best one I ever had, just right and well balance with a yummy piece of Bacon!
