Dawson Electric was great! Very responsive and arrived quickly when we needed an emergency electrician. We had the power go out in part of the house and the normal solutions were not working, so we had to call a pro. They fixed our power outage fast and at a great price! We hired again a week later to install a ceiling fan where we didn't have a light and it came out perfect. Very happy with their service and highly recommend! read more

Dawson Electric - New ceiling fan installed in roof where there was no wiring or previous light fixture. - Electricians Near Me

I was cut off while driving in Pacific Beach by a cyber truck wrapped with this company's logo. I also wasn't the only one as I saw this truck try and weave through traffic. You would think if you're gonna drive reckless you wouldn't do it in a wrapped truck with a company's name on it. read more

Great service. Alvin was a great technician. Installed a ceiling fan and later that night it had manufactured defects in the fan. Dawson sent Alvin out the next day and replaced the fan with no charge. Great company! I would highly recommend them for you electrical needs. read more

Rick helped to install my lights in dining room and living room. Friendly and did a great job.

I scheduled an appointment with them for our microwave and garbage disposal.Eventhough we didn't get to work with them due to the problem being more mechanical than electrical but I appreciate their fast response and easy appointment and cancelation process.I will keep their contact for future project. read more

Rick installed fan and Chandeliers and did a great job with both the chandeliers and fan.

Awesome service! 10/10 recommend! Came out on a Friday night and stayed until it was done!!

This company is listed as one of the Home Depot Pros. Stay away! He hooked up a ceiling fan for us and did a terrible job. He also didn't tell us that a ceiling fan shouldn't be on a dimmer. The fan and switch are now broken and we needed another set of electricians to come out and fix. Horrible experience. He also charged me more than the original amount quoted. When asked about it. He argued with me. Would not trust him or his employees to come out and fix anything even though Home Depot recommends. read more

I found Dawson Electric through the homedepot pro referral. He got back to me right away! thank you for your quick response and service.

I came across this company on Yelp and they were able to help us out in a hurry and did good work!

great job! friendly and accomodated me on very short notice. I highly recommend this company.

I hired Dawson Electric through Home Depot's "Pro Referral" to "diagnose" a ceiling fan issue. The electrician was at my home for no more than 5 minutes. He stated I just needed to purchase a new ceiling fan and he would install it, although he didn't do a thorough diagnosis. I was charged roughly $300.00 for 5 minutes and did not get an answer. I hired someone else who was able to diagnose and resolve the issue. I would not recommend Dawson Electric. A complete waste of time and money! I would have had more success sending my money to a scammer overseas. read more

This has a potential for a 5-star rating. The only reason I can't give the top rating was, I had to postpone the job before it started. A personal medical emergency required an unscheduled surgery. Prior to that, Rick did the work estimate online and finally on-site. We agreed to an estimated cost and length of work. Rick was very professional and prompt in his response. Even as I explained the job postponement until after my surgery and recovery, he was very understanding. Dawson Electric certainly earned my trust and patronage in all my future electrical needs. read more

Restore our electricity outlets....came on time and very professional! Inside and outside of the house...

Called them in the morning and got an appointment confirmed that same day but never heard back

Dawson Electric came through big for me on Saturday. The power went out in my client's home Friday night. I called around and no one was available. I got ahold of Dawson Saturday. They immediately sent someone out. The quickly diagnoses the problem; old burnt wires. They replaced the wires and got the power restored promptly. Both my client and I were stoked. I'm using Dawson now for other client's electrical needs. read more

Not up front about pricing. They said they would put the service fee toward the repair. Then once they did the repair they said they never said that. My husband and I both heard them say it and my husband asked them again just to be clear. They adamantly denied saying it. They were so incredibly rude. We never give bad reviews. We just move on usually but this company was so awful. Do not lie to people and then yell at customers loud enough that their kids hear it from another room. The guy we dealt with said his name was Rick George. He would not give us the name of anyone above him that we could speak to. The guy who actually did the work was great though. He worked fast and was very polite. Do NOT trust this company. read more

I live in Los Angeles. I was looking to coordinate an installation of a RING video door bell in Chula Vista, San Diego at my mothers house. I called Dawson Electric, and asked many questions over the phone, and explained my situation - that I was planning on driving to San Diego to be present with my mother who is a senior citizen while during the installation. Dawson Electric showed up on time and executed a perfect installation of the video doorbell I purchased for my mother's home. The price was competitive and fair. The job was done with excellent attention to detail. I would highly recommend Dawson Electric for your Video Doorbell installations! Thanks again Dawson Electric. http://dawsonelectricsandiego.com/ read more

I had a chandelier and LED switch installed in my home in California. They were extremely personable and professional. The best part about them is that they were super reliable. Instead of giving me a window of hours that they may come by they gave me a specific time and were there on the dot. I will use them again for other installs that I have planned in the future! read more

Awesome work. Repaired outdoor plugs and repaired fridge outlets. Professional and friendly service. Recommend.

Pricing I can't compare since it's a first for me needing an electrician my rating is for fast response and of course quality of the job performed. Elrick diagnosed the problem and found the solution fast. Although he did not have the part required to replace he went out of his way to get it and fixed the problem the same night. I missed the military discount promo by one day but he still gave me a discount by not charging me for his overtime. I would recommend this company anytime. Out of 5 other electricians I called Dawson was the only one who was accommodating for what I deemed an emergency and a fire hazard. read more

Dawson Electric was the first company to respond to my inquiry to get three ceiling fans installed. LV did a fantastic job. All three fans are working wonderfully and best of all, they are not making any weird noises like the last fans I had did. 100% recommend this company due to their rapid response, quality work, and first class customer service. read more

I was charged $660 for a 2 minute easy job, I can understand it was Saturday afternoon but $660???

I wanted Rick from Dawson Electric to run an in ground spa light cable from the spa to the electrical panel. He said he could do it in about 1-2 hours. He showed up on the job late. He said he could do the work and assumed he new what he was doing. He pulled the cable in without using the electricians lube on the wires. The wire would come all the way out by the electrical panel. He then said before he would be back in the morning to finish the job. It would only take an hour he said. He asked for payment that day before he left. I knew right then and there something was wrong. I paid him and then in the morning he called me to say he had to pick up a product to finish the job and would charge me another 4 hours as a flat fee. He tried to change the pay structure from what we agreed upon. He was trying to charge me for him having to go to the store and buy what any good electrician should already have, electricians lube. So he was going to charge me all over again because he didn't do the job correctly in the first place. Rick is nothing but a crook. Don't use him unless you want to be charged more money. I called a good electrian and he did the job in less then one hour. Rick took four hours and was going to charge me 4 more for the next day. read more

Rick was exactly what you want in an Electrician. I needed pendant lights hung up in a bedroom and based on their great reviews I decided to go with Dawson Electric. Out of the many electricians I talked to, Rick was by far the most responsive and easiest to work with. He gave me a great quote with and was very clear with what he would be doing. He has great availability and when the job turned out to be much more complicated and longer than he expected, but he worked tirelessly to get it done. He continuously checked in with us throughout the project to make sure he was doing exactly what we wanted. It was clear that when I hired Rick he made our project a priority, caring about the workmen ship like it was his own house. Rick is now my go to guy for any electrical needs, glad we found him! I would recommend Rick to any of my friends looking for an Electrician. read more

Got my lights remodeled for my kitchen. Rick was nice and professional. Will come back for future home improvements.

This by far the worst company ever one , they wayyyyyyy over charge and second the part they replaced is used like a kid can tell it's used and customer service is bad. like I'm active duty navy I don't have time to baby sit and also over charge me just by changing one simple panel I highly recommend to go some else and save your money read more
