Stumbled upon this place for lunch while driving from Seattle to Portland. Excellent sandwiches and soups. Desserts looked amazing although did not partake. read more

The cake tasted homemade, very moist and dense. I had the strawberry cream cake and it actually had some fresh strawberries! My wife had the grown-up grilled cheese and she enjoyed it a lot. The prices were okay, not the cheapest place in Centralia but they seem to be using good ingredients. Atmosphere is pretty laid back, it's a good place to chill in the middle of an antique expedition. The servers were pleasant and checked in to make sure we were happy with our meal. read more

Always delicious. It's hard to go wrong here. My favorite is the grown up grilled cheese. The deserts of course are amazing. I only missed one star because the place is a bit on the pricey side, but to be fair, it's good quality food. read more

Ordered a caprese panini with a fruit salad and it was amazing! Great customer service and a charming atmosphere. The treats on the counter looked delish too! Will definitely be going back again. read more

Dawn's is an amazing sweets and sandwich shop. They have tons of options to choose from and our favorites are the vegan ones. Its a MUST if you are in the Centralia downtown area stop on by and enjoy! read more

Cute and spacious sandwich shop in between antique shops. Happened to drop in for a cup of joe and the menu looked appetizing, I ordered the tuna melt on whole grain and now whenever I'm in this town, it's what I always get. I attempted getting the turkey Blt for the bf but while driving to pick him up my lab opened the bag and ate it. He was licking his chops. Both sandwiches seemed to be a delightful. read more

I went here for lunch for the very first time yesterday and WOW! I have never been more impressed with any restaurant. I ordered a

Had Dawn's delicious chicken salad on a croissant with her homemade chicken noodle soup. The chicken was heaped on....no scimmping. I took a chocolate cupcake home. The cupcake was expensive and just 'o.k.'. I'll go back. read more

Stopped in today for a piece of carrot cake to go. I'm super sad that I said I would share it with my partner, because it was the best carrot cake I've ever had, and I'm seriously bummed that I only got half of a piece! I'll definitely be back. . .probably tomorrow ; ) Oh, and bonus points for no raisins. I can't stand those little effers. read more

Awesome food... Period. If you're in town and don't eat here you made a big mistake. EVERYTHING they make feels like your mamma made it. I wish they were located in Vancouver. read more

Simple. Elegant. Quaint. Amazing service. Great food. We had the panini grown up grilled cheese sandwich. Delicious! The orange cranberry cinnamon roll was so good. I will return soon for that piece of carrot cake that was calling my name. read more

First time here in 1/22/17. The food items are a little pricey for the portions for what you would expect in a small town, but the quality is AMAZING. Had the "Grown up" grilled cheese. The bread was artisan and the cheese was amazing. I had a side of potato salad which was pretty small, maybe a half scoop? But we had tiramisu to go and raspberry filled white cake for desert at home. Again, amazing quality. Customer service was some of the best around. Congrats on nailing this down! Very friendly and helpful staff! read more

This is a nice upscale lunch choice for sleepy Centralia. The tomato soup and grilled cheese combo was perfect on a fall afternoon

Good sandwich (vegi with the apple in it). Excellent! Clean and very friendly staff.

Stopped in on our way to Portland. By the sounds of the name I thought there would be more to choose from but nope. We ended up getting 2 cookies to try. Oatmeal chocolate chip and snickerdoodle. Both were hard and dry. read more

Plenty of seats available on a Monday afternoon. The combination of brick and warm woods created an at home atmosphere. Service was quick and attentive. The butternut squash soup was quite tasty with good texture. They even asked if I wanted cream in the soup before they added it. I would recommend this place for sure. The desserts look delicious. read more

Amazing food, great people, good vibes! My favorites are desserts but the food is on the same level, delicious!

The owner graciously responded to my concerns and we have tried this place again (prior to the owners reply) and there are delicious desserts here. Nice place to get a pastry and coffee. read more

This place was a great surprise. Friendly personable staff. Everything tasted great. I've been here multiple times, always ordering something different and have yet to be disappointed. read more

I used to come here for the clam chowder on Fridays. The restaurant is always very clean and the owner has won local awards for the food and the service. I would seriously visit Centralia just to come here and eat a sandwich. It is that good! read more

We visited Centralia for some antiquing today and stopped in to Dawn's Delectables for an afternoon treat. When we walked in Dawn greeted us warmly, and helpfully answered our questions when we were overwhelmed by the beautiful baked goods in the case. We chose the Italian Cream Cake and let me tell you, it may have been the best cake I've ever had. It was sweet and creamy and the coconut-vanilla flavor was just perfect. Not to mention it was so pretty it looked like it belonged in a Pinterest photo. The staff made us feel so at home we wished we were hungrier so we could stay for a full meal! Carla came out from the kitchen and made friends with my friend's two-year-old, and Dawn checked in with all of her guests. The atmosphere was also very welcoming: a nice, open space with comfortable seating (even some cozy cushioned wicker chairs), and beautiful exposed brick. We'll definitely be back soon to try the Roasted Tomato Soup and some other goodies (and we live out of town). Thanks to Dawn and Carla for the best part of our afternoon! read more

We drop in occasionally for ice cream. My daughters love it and always bring a friend. The warm welcome and friendly service keeps us coming back. Great lunch menu as well. You won't be disappointed! read more

Wow, great food! We are driving around Washington and found this restaurant based on good Yelp reviews. It did not disappoint! My husband had the Bleu Buffalo sandwich and I had the Southwestern Chicken Salad. My husband loved his sandwich and my salad was excellent - so fresh with a light dressing that did not overpower. Do not forget dessert, the sweets all looked amazing! I opted for a slice of white cake with coconut frosting. Slice was huge, cake was marvelous. Service was friendly and prompt. Would definitely recommend! read more

Dawn's Delectables - Sandwiches Near Me - Centralia, Washington

Dawn's Delectables provided the sandwiches, pie, and cupcakes for my wedding. I was in the shop one day for lunch with my mother and thought the food would be great for my wedding. Dawn was in that day so I asked her if she could get together some food for my reception. Even though my wedding was on the same day as graduation, she said she would take my order. I was ecstatic. My guests loved their sandwiches and the cupcakes were delicious. But let me tell you about the pie. My husband has talked about having a "groom's pie" since our second date. He was insistent that he had one pie, but with two different, non-mixed, fillings. I talked with Dawn about it and she thought she could make it happen. The day of the wedding, there it was, one pie, two flavors. He was thrilled, I was thrilled, and my guests were amused. She was also very flexible with all the sandwich orders (I have some very fickle friends). She even put everyone's name on the sandwiches, which made everything easier. My cupcake flavors were not options on her list, but she was willing to do it for me. I couldn't be happier with who I chose to provide food for the wedding. read more

Would love to tell you that we couldn't finish the cinnamon roll but that would be a lie! Amazing texture and flavor! The tomato soup and clam chowder were so good as well! Great quality food, amazing atmosphere and great prices! read more

I have only been there, once, but in that one visit I got a very good vibe from the place. The staff is friendly and quick. The food is prepared personally by the owner, Dawn. Everything is clean, the atmosphere is cozy, and the price is right. My only problem with the place---and this is just my opinion---is the relatively small menu. There are a variety of sandwhiches, soups, and deserts, but it's a little lacking in the salad department. read more

Great food and amazing desserts. You can tell the staff enjoy their job. They are attentive and efficient. The facility is charming and clean. I've taken many family and friends in to try the rhubarb cobbler and green frog. Love love love this place! read more

Just spent 3 hours at this wonderful little place visiting with old friends from school. This place is so clean, the food is delicious and the staff is friendly. Not one time did they act like they wanted us to leave, they kept the coffee coming. We are going to make this a place to meet at in the future. read more

Dropped by the other day while passing through Centralia based on Yelp high rating. I was disappointed. Yes. they have relaxed atmosphere and friendly waitresses. But I was expecting more. Like...more selection of lunch choices, more variety of dessert and sweets. We tried the carrot cake and German chocolate cakes. They were good but nothing exceptional. Moreover, they are way too sweet. The portion is way too big to use the description 'delectables'..... probably because they charge almost $5 per order. Maybe lower the price, serve smaller portion and have more variety will make them more popular? read more

It was so cold out but thought of some warm food.. Soup was hot and tasty but the sandwishes were so cold the bread was like it was defrosted just before making it and colder then the meat inside... I had to figure out where the hot tea was... server never offered me help with it, Maybe some warm sunny day out might try again for now ,, not gonna happen... over 30 dollars for soup and a 1/2 sand and a whole sand and soup and 1 tea.... Berry fields is much better.. and more friendly... read more

This place is amazing! The figgy piggy sandwich was delicious and their soup was so good! We got a cinnamon roll for the road which was also delightful! Highly recommend! read more

I had lunch there today and there was only one other customer. Four people behind the counter and two customers. FIFTEEN dollars for a pastrami on rye and a plain iced tea. Also, for fifteen dollars I don't want one eighth of a pickle, I want a whole pickle. The side of fruit was about six grapes cut in half and some pineapple bits from a can. Centralia is not that special and as a tourist there to blow money in the antique and books stores, I will not be eating in that town. To save money, I will hit up a drive through on the way to the freeway. read more

Good food and friendly owners. Nice place for lunch or desert.

I ordered a sandwich, roasted tomato soup and carrot cake. Sandwich was good, carrot cake was awesome but tomato soup lacked seasoning.

The cinnamon rolls really are amazing! They were fresh out of the oven, melt in your mouth soft, and covered in gooey icing. The bakery is adorable and the staff is friendly. There is plenty of space for larger groups to sit. I had lots of room to park our stroller next to our table with out being in anyone's way- usually a challenge most other places. A stop in a Dawn's is going to be routine for our family from now on when downtown! read more

I found this place quite by accident, and what a fortuitous accident! The decor is simple and clean and very appealing. The service was good and the food was fantastic! The potato salad was tasty and the turkey, bacon, and pepper jack hot sandwich was excellent! I'm not a huge fan of sandwiches in general, so this is a huge compliment. I will definitely be back. I only wish I lived closer! read more
