Tammie was truly amazing, patiently explaining all of the bureaucratic monstrosity that is the American health care system, from HMOs to Medicare. She was highly knowledgeable, resourceful, and extremely personable. I honestly don't know what I would have done without her; she walked me through all the steps I needed to get the home care set up and was compassionate about the many obstacles I faced due to my father's terrible HMO. She helped me with getting my dad into his primary care and assisted me with all the steps needed to get his home health referral. The rest of the staff at Choice Matters is also excellent; my dad loved his physical therapist, Allen, who helped him get back on his feet, literally. My dad is a misanthropic curmudgeon who doesn't like most people, but he looked forward to his visits with Allen and was able to walk again with his support. The name of the agency really reflects that "Choice Matters" when you choose a caregiver. I highly recommend!

I must say, when I first called and spoke with Shari at Granny Nannies I had no idea what I was…read moredoing or what I needed. After answering all of my questions and concerns I went in to visit their office. Shari and Sandy both are super nice ladies! My stepfather has been in and out of the hospital and rehab facilities since last April 2015, he was being discharged for home and my mother, whom just suffered from a heart attack was the only there to care for him. He is wheelchair bound, with stage 4 ulcers on his back and feet and suffering from moderate Dementia. There was no way she could do it anymore. Getting him home took some time, the hospital would call and say he was being discharged so I would set up times for the caregivers, then the hospital would cancel the discharge. This happened on several occasions, I finally broke down with Shari on the phone because I was once again cancelling their services. Finally, he made it home, his first caregiver was Robin, mom fell in love with her. She and all the rest of the people have been so understanding and loving towards my parents, we couldn't ask for better people to look after them. Currently, their services are being used 24/7 with two shifts a day. The best thing is my mom feels comfortable around them, several have even offered or cooked their meals for them. As this is a difficult situation that will ultimately end with Hospice Care I cannot say enough wonderful things about how Granny Nannies has treated our family. I will definitely remember them if the need ever arises again and would recommend their services to anyone. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

We have been extremely pleased both with their office staff and the in-home caregivers. Sandy and her office staff have been remarkably helpful, responsive, and patient in dealing with occasional last-minute schedule changes, and have also been a huge help in advocating for our needs with the long-term care insurance company when the insurance company tried to waffle about the level of care and the percentage of the costs they would pay. In the home, both Felicia and Chastity have been hardworking, trustworthy, and eternally patient in dealing with the demands of caring for very elderly, and often demanding patients. We recommend Granny Nannies without any reservations whatsoever.

Our family cannot rave enough about the great care that our mother, Joan Mease, received as a…read moreresident at Fleet Landing. Everyone from nursing, kitchen staff, administration, Derfer rehab, PT, and Baptist Primary Care on site was kind, attentive, thoughtful, and supportive. As she reached the end of her journey Fleet Landing supported our family as well. It's a beautiful property with a lot of activities, great quality medical care, and a place our mother was very happy to live at.

Sham and a Shame I…read moream not familiar with the independent living or skilled nursing portions of Fleet Landing however if you are considering the Assisted living area (Leeward) beware. Unless you are planning on being an advocate for your loved one and they don't need to eat, they will be neglected here. And management is totally non-responsive, and NOONE takes any responsibility for anything. 5 short months my mom experienced... 1) An aide "roughing her up" in the Rehab Center (Derfer) Of course they "could not identify" the abusive employee although they did express concern. (Maybe they put a strongly worded letter in the staff mailboxes.) 2) After a stay in Beaches ICU she was admitted to the rehab center (Defer). There was 1 initial meeting with the entire staff and our family with the assurance of weekly comprehensive follow-up...Didn't happen! Zero follow up to track progress. Even though the paperwork stated weekly progress meeting would happen and the family, nurse and assistant showed up at the appointed time, the Social Worker and other specialists did not attend and told us we were mistaken. When confronted with her course of care, the Social Worker pointed at the Speech Therapist who pointed at the Doctor who said he didn't know anything about the patient's condition (5 days after admission under his care) who then pointed back at the Speech Therapist. Total neglect in Derfer to the point where she had to be taken by ambulance to the Emergency Room. Not once has any member of the DERFER staff taken responsibility for inactions or wanted to see how they could improve. They do not care. 3) Honestly, no joke...Leeward Building serves the worst food you can imagine. Mystery meat at any High School is better than this stuff! We should have suspected something was uncool when we were not offered lunch when initially visiting the facility AT LUNCH TIME! Our family members have eaten in all the restaurants on campus, breakfast, lunch and dinners. Every other location on campus has good quality food. The active, independent residents dine in these facilities. Leeward consisted of low quality, poorly prepared and grossly plated meals. Most of the residents are wheelchair bound, frail and have slight memory or communication problems. They primarily rely on their food from Leeward. And most dine alone. They have no advocates. My mother is wheelchair bound and shouldn't have to ask someone to push her to other restaurants on campus or wait in the lobby for the shuttle to eat lunch or dinner. We were told that Leeward held a meeting with residents who expressed their concerns about the quality of the food. Zero follow up with residents after this (And several other) meeting. I started asking anonymous long time (10-20 yr) employees about Managements' responsiveness and specifically about the quality of the food in Leeward. I was told across the board this has always been the case at Leeward. The remainder of the community's food quality is good. Obviously, this is a large corporation whose bottom line is affected by food expenditures. I even looked up the biography of Elvis the Head of Food at Fleet Landing, and his leading comments are about growing the footprint of Fleet Landing facilities. I'd say he needs to get things "as advertised" before they expand. If Fleet Landing advertises quality food prepared by competent chefs/staff, that is what the feeble residents of Leeward should expect. It is certainly what they are paying for at $5,000/ month! This is a sham and a shame. 4) Management in every department has zero to very slow and obscure response time. A major billing error was discovered during my follow ups with my Mothers LTC. Fleet Landing erroneously cancelled her LTC policy. No explanation. Fortunately, I was able to work with the LTC company to get it reinstated. And now begging the departments to send me all correspondence concerning our account. (I had requested being copied in on all aspects of her care/residency several times when she moved in and sporadically got correspondence after asking why I was not receiving information) As another example I have an email in right now to the head Administrator (After 2 weeks of phone calls and leaving messages at the front desk because she won't return a Voicemail) about the policy to cancel her residency. Crickets.... 6) Doctor on staff is a quack. His office never sent a referral HE REQUIRED to a specialist. After calling the Leeward Medical office several times and being assured they were sending the referral, we called the specialist directly who said they never received it. I called Fleet Landings doctor to discuss this and Mom's care and never received a return phone call.

Worst care anywhere. Not a registered nurse on campus! No…read morephysicians! Management is a joke! Covid was treated like. It wasn't anything for them to care. They didn't! I wouldn't put a prisoner in here!

Please avoid this place like the plague if you care anything about your loved one…read more I just read another review posted basically within a few hours of mine and their response to it tells you everything you need to know about them. They claim that it was fake lol and then they continue to go on and lie.( the review was posted by a "ms thang " ... and what was funny about her review was we ran into the exact same issue with medication. They were withholding her medication, and they allowed the resident that I am referring to to also go into withdrawal with more than 24 hours of absolutely no medication... a staff member also tried to get physical with me for documenting what was taking place. From extreme neglect to fraud, as well as conditions you would not want your worst enemy living in. The staff is extremely rude and there is an extremely high turnover rate. CJ is a joke of a Director. Denise is an absolute thief and when presented with evidence literally video evidence of fraudulent charges. She does nothing more than laugh and say they will do nothing. we literally moved into Anthem Lakes in July and we are having to move now. Anthem Lakes is also now terrified because of what is coming due to injuries, I sustained in their building when a shelf fell out of the wall, leaving the contents to fall on me, causing a concussion, as well as a consistent, migraine, dizziness, and more. They withheld the medication despite us getting them all the proper moving information. And then for extra fun their front desk staff (I'll get the name but I have her on video trying to slap my phone out of my hands for filmy them lying about where the nursing staff was or documents we needed for last day there and med exchange ) I then go to leave after all the people we hired finished - (I was an able to do my job after sustaining the injuries that I did we had to hire out help ) and another staff member is behind my car taking pictures I immediately turn on my phone start recording and I asked why they are taking photos and she begins to get vulgar. This place is not suitable for trash disposal much less placing loved ones in for any kind of substantial care. Maria will be hands-on until you hand her a check and then you are left to the mercy of well. Let me get that person for you and then you never hear back. The $3000 community fee is just another way for them to steal money not to mention the level of care they were told to change by their own head of nurse, Sheila, and they did not, and again added fraudulent charges to her bill. Even when level to Care was requested, we would ask to utilize some of the things in level to Care, like someone giving her a shower, and true to form no one ever showed up. She got c diff and was left in her own feces until I arrived, which was easily almost 24 hours and then, because no one came no matter how many times she hit her button for assistance, she tried to clean up the mess herself, on her person and in the bathroom unfortunately, with eyesight not being the best, she flooded the toilet tried to wipe that up and there was feces, as well as urine smeared on every surface it could have been. I reached out and told them someone needed to come and help clean up as I was willing to participate and again no one ever showed up... the resident also is on extremely strong pain medication, as well as some other meds that need to be monitored and at least three different times did I find pills left randomly around her apartment obviously extremely dangerous and when I asked who left them no one could tell me and even one nurse told me to just give them to her and I said you understand that could kill her correct I was told she should be fine. please think long and hard before placing your loved one here as their license is NOT even up-to-date currently. I already have a lawsuit going Due to my injuries. But with everything else we have experienced and all the evidence we have against Anthem Lakes I will definitely be reaching out to find out with their license not up-to-date what other stuff so I can do.
