Many of the units have screened in back porches with doors. Some of those units have a sidewalk right up to their back door. I wish they would make all the units have this added luxury. A standard. My apartment has a nice screened in porch with a door that opens up to the back field, but there is no sidewalk and there is quiet a drop to step down. Visit WL look around. It is very pet friendly. Most of the med-techs and LPNs are very kind. You always have a couple employees not happy. The Dine room has made changes for the better, but meals are served at specific times. They are doing maintenance on the buildings to restore them back to their "beauty ". I wish they had pictures hanging of this place opening day till present day hanging. Know:If your independent living make sure you understand your independent and will need to call 911 if you need help or have fallen. Assisted living is may what you need. It's nice though ,here you can transition from independent to assisted to memory care if that's what you need. There are activities here but is a slower pace since a couple residents are nearing 100! But thats ok. The young ladies at the front desk are a delight. Always NICE! I say give it a try here, bring your dog and if it's not for you, it's ok. I wish they would put a speed bump or two in the front and here in the little back road... I know you are in a hurry but older residents on scooters or walking their dogs can't always move as fast as you. And then there are the geese- I love watching them, but some people are just mean and speed up when they are moving so slow... clipping the goose. it's not nice.... A slow sign and speed bumps might help. or a funny sign saying "geese crossing". Any humor at a retirement community is a must. I post good and not so good just because this place could be the best retirement community, the way it's laid out. Walmart , Vet, Food places near the entrance. that's a good thing. hope this helps you decide or at least come look.

I must say, when I first called and spoke with Shari at Granny Nannies I had no idea what I was…read moredoing or what I needed. After answering all of my questions and concerns I went in to visit their office. Shari and Sandy both are super nice ladies! My stepfather has been in and out of the hospital and rehab facilities since last April 2015, he was being discharged for home and my mother, whom just suffered from a heart attack was the only there to care for him. He is wheelchair bound, with stage 4 ulcers on his back and feet and suffering from moderate Dementia. There was no way she could do it anymore. Getting him home took some time, the hospital would call and say he was being discharged so I would set up times for the caregivers, then the hospital would cancel the discharge. This happened on several occasions, I finally broke down with Shari on the phone because I was once again cancelling their services. Finally, he made it home, his first caregiver was Robin, mom fell in love with her. She and all the rest of the people have been so understanding and loving towards my parents, we couldn't ask for better people to look after them. Currently, their services are being used 24/7 with two shifts a day. The best thing is my mom feels comfortable around them, several have even offered or cooked their meals for them. As this is a difficult situation that will ultimately end with Hospice Care I cannot say enough wonderful things about how Granny Nannies has treated our family. I will definitely remember them if the need ever arises again and would recommend their services to anyone. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

For the last…read moreseveral months, they have been providing home health care and personal assistance to my elderly step-mother with major health problems, and more recently to my elderly father as well. We have been extremely pleased both with their office staff and the in-home caregivers. Sandy and her office staff have been remarkably helpful, responsive, and patient in dealing with occasional last-minute schedule changes, and have also been a huge help in advocating for our needs with the long-term care insurance company when the insurance company tried to waffle about the level of care and the percentage of the costs they would pay. In the home, both Felicia and Chastity have been hardworking, trustworthy, and eternally patient in dealing with the demands of caring for very elderly, and often demanding patients. We recommend Granny Nannies without any reservations whatsoever.

This facility is far from perfect but most of the staff up to its leadership, they do care for my dad and elderly. Realistically speaking there's no nursing home out there that doesn't have problems, specially with this time of pandemic, family members should understand that it is also their responsibility to help out their loved-ones that is residing in here. This was recommended by one of my colleague and this place has been a blessing to me, my whole family and my dad! My father originally came here for rehab and boy the therapists here are really great at what their doing, they know the appropriate time when to push my dad to get stronger faster. Kudos to RJ, Hazel, Grace and Matt! My dad and I was already looking for a great place where he can get the help he needs on a daily basis, and he connected with the staff here. Thank God for nurses like Marsha, Tony; the dietitian Jena, Teri, and the director and head of nursing department (sorry, I forgot their names and some other awesome people). They treat my dad as family. One thing that really impresses me besides the quality of care is that my dad and I noticed that the staff always pray as a team every day. The staff here has been through a lot because of this pandemic, but they are still there for my dad and others day in and day out. I, truly am very thankful for this facility! They are a blessing in this community..
