Junk on the tables in an empty restaurant.
    Leesa-Catherine S.

I went in for the first time today at lunch with my son as my date. Odd little place - don't go for the ambience, there isn't much. It's not fancy or terribly cheap and out of 8 tables, 5 of them had junk and supplies on them. French tv blasting AND an English cd playing on the stereo at the same time makes for a lot of conflicting noise. We were the only diners the whole time we were there. He had the 1/2 & 1/2, I had a Tao meal. The chicken......really, really good. The man working there was lovely and couldn't have been more attentive to us. I would absolutely go again but I'd order it to go.

I've heard a few people told me how good this place is, so I gave it a try and went there... It's expensive and not that good. I've tried the full chicken half-half. The sauce okay, and the half without sauce was just fried chicken. Really nothing wow. The mustard sauce that was on the side was also good. It was suppose to come with fries and coleslaw, we never got our coleslaw... We also took Stir fried udon and spicy pork noodles. The Udon portion was tiny and was 8$. The portion is smaller than what a young kid could eat... We initially wanted to order bulgogi, but the waiter told us they ran out of bulgogi (Saturday 6pm) and we were only 2 tables (they wanted bulgogi too, but no more)... The service was so so...we ordered a pepsi that never came. We had to ask for napkins, because he brought us plates and forks only...even though another table asked for napkins before us. Technically, you should realize that you should bring napkins to other tables too...

KFC finally in Montreal..... Nope, this is not about the Colonel....I'm talkin bout Korean fried chicken. Finally a good spot in the town that does some yummy fried chicken. The Sunsal Pa-Dak is my favorite. Crispy fried boneless chicken served with spring onions and wasabi spiced soy sauce. Also tried their half and half. Two types of chicken (deep fried And sweet and spicy) served with fries. Not a big fan of chicken with bone though. Will definitely be back to try other dishes Food : Great Service : O_o Ambiance : o_O Worth the price : Affirmative

I've actually never enjoyed eating fried chicken because most of the time the chicken is sand dry and it's hard to swallow. DaWa proved me wrong. Not only were their fried chicken moist but they contained no traces of oil. It's like comitting the perfect crime and erasing all traces of evidence. What kind of sorcery is this? The best kind I suppose. I also asked for the spiciest chicken they had and I wasn't dissapointed. To some, this might be a punch in the face but I found it comfortably spicy - definitely stronger than your typical bottle of Sriracha. It was spicy as biting into a fresh thai pepper but without the lingering burn. Overall, the best fried chicken I've had at a reasonable price. I challenge chicken haters to still loathe chicken after they've been at this place.

I tried a few korean fried chickens spots. This one has to be the best so far! They proof their name pretty well: "best korean fried chicken". I took the half-half bone-in. Both flavors didn't disappoint. The portion is good for two people or two meals for one person. It comes with a salad & a sauce on the side. The price is similar to other places. I liked the design of their menu & the decoration of their restaurant. The pink wall & the stuffed toys on the bench gives a very cozy vibe. They have a little card for you which is like a little game if you really like their chicken. Plus, it is a good marketing strategy.

I think this restaurant is the best chicken in montreal. The chicken is warm and crispy. The clients and owner are friendly:):)

Service was one of the better things about this restaurant. Our server was attentive quick and the food came out fairly fast after ordering. Restaurant has a lot of small tables and is better for smaller groups and you can squeeze multiple people into the smaller tables as long as you let your server know that you're fine with squeezing in. It's got a fun vibe to it with nice decor and maybe a good place to go to hang out with your friends and grab some drinks.

May be getting carry out instead? We were able to get seated at a two top picnic table before 7pm, only about a 5-10 minute wait. Ordered two sides of kimchi, Kim gui, tteokbokki, regular spicy chickie, Buldak chicken. C$74.23 The kimchi side comes with a side of shredded radish, which is quite sweet. Was hoping it would be the cubed radish kimchi instead. The shredded radish clumps together, it's ok. The kimchi is also so-so. The seaweed is good. The tteokbokki is a small portion, the gochujang sauce tastes smokey, it's pretty good. Comes with mushrooms. The spicy chickie is good, the breading is light and crispy. The chickie is nicely fried, not too dry. I should have read more carefully, the Buldak is smothered in cheese, had to removed it all off the top of the meat. The meat is oddly cut, it's nicely cooked and tender. It's a big portion of meat. There is no complimentary rice with the BBQ Buldak chicken, that's a first. No banchans here as complimentary here either, not very Korean of this place at all. :/

TL;DR/The Short Version: Casual Korean eatery. Great combos…read morewith lots of variety. Everything was tasty. The Long Version: My husband and I went here for lunch. I got the fried chicken combo ($16.99) and my husband got the beef combo ($16.99). We requested no sesame seeds for our food and they accommodated by not sprinkling sesame seeds on the rice, japchae or beef, but they forgot that one of the fried chicken sauces has sesame seeds in it, so I had to give my husband that piece. We were going to share anyway, so it wasn't a big deal for me. The Fried Chicken Combo came with 3 pieces of fried chicken, each one a different flavour: original, sweet and spicy, and soy garlic. The sweet and spicy sauce has sesame seeds in it. Since I can't eat sesame seeds but can tolerate slight contamination, I didn't bring it up and just gave that piece to my husband. Although in retrospect I should have alerted them for them to be more aware for someone else who might have a more severe issue. Both combos came with japchae, rice, 2 dumplings, and coleslaw. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. It was great. I liked both the original and the soy garlic. Hubby liked the sweet and spicy. The beef was tender and flavourful. And I liked that it was lean meat and not gristly. The dumplings were deep-fried and had pork and vegetables in it. The rice was nicely steamed and slightly sticky which I liked. The japchae was flavourful and had shiitake mushrooms, carrots, bell peppers and onions in it. It was little too oily for my preference, but I still enjoyed it. The combos also came with a can of soda or a bottle of water. My husband got a Coca Cola and I got a bottle of water, which I took to go to drink during my shopping adventures after lunch, since we were given tap water with our meal. Service was courteous and efficient. Lots of indoor seating with televisions playing K-pop music videos in the dining room. The restaurant is down a flight of stairs, so might be a problem for those with mobility issues. Review #18 (2025)
