I had a takeout order and ate them with my husband in the car. It came with a pickled radish and a small salad. A refreshing touch to the fried chicken. I hope it had more spice or more marinated. Some white meat doesn't has much flavour. The quality of the ingredients are very good, fresh and juicy. Even though the place is small, it has a comprehensive menu. I probably will try some other dishes when I am in the hood.

I ordered the sweet and spicy 12 piece chicken meal. I say meal because I thought I was ordering chicken wings but it looks like they cut up a whole chicken and include drumsticks, wings and different parts of the chicken. There were only a total of 2-3 chicken wings in the order. The flavor of the chicken was great. My only issue was we placed our order over the phone, arrived 25 minutes later and they admitted that our order was somehow cancelled and it would be an additional 15 minutes. Kind of a bummer, my partner asked for extra wings for the wait and we were denied. It was an accident of course, things happen. But how it was handled afterwards was poor.

This is a small restaurant hidden in the Verdun area. I ordered half fried chicken, original flavour; beef noodle and vegetable roll. They all tasted good. The price is just like average Korean restaurant.

    Fried chicken & dumplings

The spot for delicious Korean food in Verdun! I ordered the garlic/ soy sauce fried chicken, the sweet and spicy fried chicken, the vegetable dumplings and the seafood omelette. The fried chicken was so fresh, crispy and juicy. Of the two flavours, I'd say I preferred the garlic and soy sauce because the sweet and spicy was mostly just sweet to me. The seafood omelette is a must-try: perfectly savoury with the right balance of texture. The dumplings were nothing to write home about, but added a nice little 'veggie' touch to our meal. Overall I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a casual but delicious meal in the Verdun area.

This place has the best korean fried chicken in town. I don't know how many times i've been there but I can assure that no matter what, the food they make will always be top notch. Chickens aside, i'd suggest to try their seafood pancakes (pa jeon). They're like a small pizza but crispier and tastier! The only con would be the commute ; good luck finding a parking spot!

Finally some good food in this hood. The chicken is very crispy on the outside and moist in the inside. The gimbap, seafood pancake and beef stew were also delicious. The service is fast and the staff is very nice. The place is not very big and it's located just in front of Hopital de Verdun, 2 blocks away from the metro.

    Hot bowl beef bibimbap

I love discovering new spots in the neighbourhood. We headed to Comon based on Google and Yelp recommandations and we were not disappointed. First of all, this is the best fried chicken I had in my entire life. Juicy and tender meat, spicy and crispy batter. I had the regular one, which comes with a honey and mustard sauce. Next time I want to try the sweet and spicy sauce. I'm still daydreaming about this chicken. We also shared a beef hot bowl bibimbap. Very flavorful, tons of veggies, side of spicy sauce (be careful ). The meal came with pickled radish, spicy kimchi, and a small green salad. Service was quick and attentive. They came to check that everything was alright, refilled the water multiple times, brought additional napkins and even ran to bring me new chopsticks when I dropped mine on the floor. On top of it all, prices are very cheap! 12-13$/plate. Portions are huge, be careful. I would recommand going with multiple friends and share different plates. TLDR: Go now. Order fried chicken. Thank me later.

While driving to Costco, we saw that @comon.restaurant was open for business, in the old Pho Hung spot. So we just had to go and it was their first day open! Bonus! Everything is 30% off until Saturday May 19, 2018!! We had the Korean Fried Chicken with soy and garlic sauce; very crunchy coating. Very tasty! A bit too spicy for me, but I am a lightweight when it comes to heat. We also had the rice ball stuffed in bean curd and the seafood pancake. Kim chi was served on the side. Everything was delicious! Can't wait to try their other dishes. Note that the kitchen closes one hour before the restaurant closes.

Crunchy and very tasty korean fried chicken, seafood pancake and bulgogi stew! Pickup was on time! Tried the original and garlic sauce chicken!

    Dolsot bibimbap

Decided to check out this place this past weekend. We ordered the spicy pork dish , beef dolsot bibimbap, original fried chicken, garlic and soy sauce fried chicken, mini kimbap and kimchi pancake. Definitely THE best korean fried chicken and kimchi pancake in the city. The mini kimbap was good but a little pricey in my opinion. There was a generous amount of pork in the spicy pork dish and the meat was very flavourful. The bibimbap was pretty good as well, the rice and toppings ratio was just perfect. Comon is probably my favourite Korean restaurant in Montreal at the moment. I will gladly come back and will recommend this place to my friends. Thank you !

    Seafood pancake

Nice Korean restaurant in Verdun. The portions are big from what I could see on the other tables. I ordered the seafood pancake and it was more than enough for dinner without any other dishes. Definitely better if going in a group as you can try more things.

    Self-explanatory!

TL;DR/The Short Version: Casual Korean eatery. Great combos…read morewith lots of variety. Everything was tasty. The Long Version: My husband and I went here for lunch. I got the fried chicken combo ($16.99) and my husband got the beef combo ($16.99). We requested no sesame seeds for our food and they accommodated by not sprinkling sesame seeds on the rice, japchae or beef, but they forgot that one of the fried chicken sauces has sesame seeds in it, so I had to give my husband that piece. We were going to share anyway, so it wasn't a big deal for me. The Fried Chicken Combo came with 3 pieces of fried chicken, each one a different flavour: original, sweet and spicy, and soy garlic. The sweet and spicy sauce has sesame seeds in it. Since I can't eat sesame seeds but can tolerate slight contamination, I didn't bring it up and just gave that piece to my husband. Although in retrospect I should have alerted them for them to be more aware for someone else who might have a more severe issue. Both combos came with japchae, rice, 2 dumplings, and coleslaw. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. It was great. I liked both the original and the soy garlic. Hubby liked the sweet and spicy. The beef was tender and flavourful. And I liked that it was lean meat and not gristly. The dumplings were deep-fried and had pork and vegetables in it. The rice was nicely steamed and slightly sticky which I liked. The japchae was flavourful and had shiitake mushrooms, carrots, bell peppers and onions in it. It was little too oily for my preference, but I still enjoyed it. The combos also came with a can of soda or a bottle of water. My husband got a Coca Cola and I got a bottle of water, which I took to go to drink during my shopping adventures after lunch, since we were given tap water with our meal. Service was courteous and efficient. Lots of indoor seating with televisions playing K-pop music videos in the dining room. The restaurant is down a flight of stairs, so might be a problem for those with mobility issues. Review #18 (2025)

Delightful find in the Guy Concordia area, this Korean eatery has wonderful Korean Fried Chicken…read more The whole chicken ($35.99 CAD) has a nice mix of juicy white and dark meat. The bulgogi combo ($16.99 CAD) has a little of everything from japchae, mandu, coleslaw, bulgogi, and rice. It even comes with a drink. Free hot tea or water is offered to customers as well. To order, you press the button on the table and the server will come to you. Service is cheerful and efficient. One bathroom for each gender is available for customers to use. The restaurant itself is relatively clean.
