Dave gave me an Estimate of $650 on 4/28/2026 and promised that he would call or email me with a final cost on the cedar mulch I wanted for my garden beds by 5/1/2026. Well, I NEVER had ANY Correspondence from Franco's until I called the office (2x's) on Monday, 5/11/2026, and only then, was I sent an incomplete estimate via email - - the cost was $200 more than the verbal estimate, which would have been acceptable if the estimate showed exactly how many yards of cedar mulch that was going to be ordered and the cost/yd, and the scope of the work was less and incomplete from what Dave and I had discussed on Tuesday, 4/28/2026. I immediately sent my own email, on Monday, 5/11/2026, to Franco's, outlining everything that Dave and I had discussed and questioning if this new increased cost was going to include EVERYTHING. The tree put two holes in the roof that were leaking into the house. I called my insurance company and then called Big Timber (our first time needing a tree service), they were already on a job but committed to come out to to take a look at the mess. At 10pm they were here checking out the tree and the damage. Because the tree was so big and was on the second level roof a crane would be needed to keep from further damaging our house. By 9am this morning the crane and the team were here and working on the job. An hour and a half later they were finished. The tree was gone. My yard was cleaned up of every twig as if nothing happened. My roof was covered in a tarp which was fortunate because it's raining again as I type this review.
