From the initial consult that wouldn't have been possible without the assistance of Emerald Dentistry (thank you to all of you there as well) to the appointment setting with Ashley and the follow up to the commitment for an early morning appointment, top notch experience. I was a bit anxious as I have never been sedated but Reese made the experience easy and walked me through my questions and the process. Dr. Santos was also great, making the extractions pain free and easy before Reese assisted me back to my waiting ride. I am disappointed in myself that I let apprehensions hold me back from doing this earlier last year, but very glad I did this year and that this Team could do it. First they sent me a bill from an appointment that was 6 months prior for charges that I had no knowledge of - they backtracked and said they don't take my insurance anymore and I needed to pay it. No, that's not how this works! I paid what I was supposed to pay when I was there, they wanted even more after 6 months?!? The way I found out was when my daughter went for her appointment and they told her it would be somewhere around $100 for what we had been paying $0 previously. No notice! I told her to get back in her car and come home, do not go sit in that chair for your cleaning! The office staff had the audacity to tell me they would charge me for a no show if she didn't stay, somewhere around $100. I laughed, and told her that it is on them for not informing us of their change in accepting our insurance and to come find me for that missed appointment charge - please, come find me! That was the end of going there. It's a shame. I liked Dr Adams, he was nice. It's the lack of communication with the patients in which they lack that led me to find another provider. Touché

It turns out, multiple aspects of dental work by Dr Adams was incomplete and done very poorly. After years of an infection that broke into my sinuses, I went to see a specialist who immediately identified the poor work. He also knew exactly who did the work, as he has had to help other former patients of Dr Adams with similar issues. Thousands of dollars, multiple procedures, and multiple health issues later, I am back on track and healthy. As a side warning - over the years, I have posted about this experience on provider review sites. Those reviews, and others I would see about similar botched work by Dr Adams, have since been removed.

I really wish i had my surgery at the Wake Forest office with ERica as his assistant and the friendly front desk people. Dr Perez is top notch though. But this office really needs to do better in hiring staff.

I was then directed to meet with financials, oh surprise!! You have to pay 500 dollars for the "x-ray" they just did. This was not mentioned beforehand. PRP is not covered and surgical center fees and anesthesia fees are really high. Nothing is presented as optional or modifiable. This did not feel like medical care, felt more transactional. I decided to go for another opinion, experience was completely different. We did not choose Chapel Hill oral surgery for his surgery, I cannot comment on surgical experience.

Office is old school and doesn't offer or use any newer technologies to avoid these possible complications. We were never informed of any possible complications that could occur due to nerve damage. During the consultation they put you in a tiny room and make you watch a 1990's video on the procedure. Not until after he realized he had nerve damage did he tell us this was a complication that could occur and made me sign a waiver for him to continue to treat him for post surgical infections. Do your research on newer technologies offered for this surgery before choosing this practice. Other practices in the area are more up-to-date technologies that can avoid complications of taking out wisdom teeth that are impacted. I regret ever using this practice or physician.

She was able to get an appointment with this office and they went over a number of things on the phone before we ever came in. Once we arrived we were greeted and everything was explained very thoroughly and our questions were answered. The office is very well organized and everyone was professional on our visit. Not all of the services were covered by our insurance but that was explained to us. We paid at the time of service and were given complete aftercare instructions. I see no issues with the office but everyone has their own experience and everyone is allowed their opinion.

I was told on two separate appointments by Aspen Dental staff that I owed out of pocket for these cleanings, which I know is not true. This time, I was told that I needed to wait 30-45 calendar days for Aspen Dental to verify my insurance. As soon as I called Delta Dental, they confirmed that this could be confirmed online within 30 seconds. I waited on a 3 way call for Aspen Dental to figure out my plan on their end and they couldn't do it after 20 minutes on the phone. It seemed like laziness to me. Delta Dental staff confirmed with me that this issue should not be happening. It seemed like this was Aspen Dental's first day in dealing with insurance so I took my service elsewhere
