DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE View lances response below. Davis lock and safe is working on a 90 year old man's car, and he has to use a bathroom. These people had zero empathy for this man/customer and told him to find another place to pee. You should have seen his worried expression. Now Lan e accuses me of being filled wirh hate for calling him on his inhumanity. AGAIN, FIND ANOTHER BUSINESS THAT TREATS THEIR CUSTOMERS AS HIMAN BEINGS. And stick up for those who are weak and are being abused or our world could be taken over by people like Lance, who sees compassion as hatred! I revisited DAVIS LOCK AND KEY today because the keys they made did not work. While at the counter having the remade, another customer, a elderly Asian made walking with a cane, asked to use the bathroom. Although this man's car was in the process of being worked on, they told him to find another place to pee. His face became a picture of disappointment and concern. I asked the employees to reconsider because I CARE ABOUT v I believe that we should have respect for the elderly. I decided to post this and email the owner. Hi my name is Bob XXXXX inquiring about your policy to not allow customers to use your restroom. I just watched a 90 year old Asian man walking with a cane be told that he had to find another place to pee because you don't allow non employees to use your bathroom. RAY and BILL and SAM don't have the discression to allow customers to use your bathroom even in emergency situations. This 90 year old Asian gentleman customer of DAVIS LOCK AND KEY, walking with a cane, also has a 90 year old bladder. Keep in mind that this denial and suggestion that this elderly Asian man find another place to pee was made while your employee, SAM was working on the customer's car. Your employee cite you inflexible policy of no bathroom access regardless of urgency, age, or circumstances. Please review your video footage of this on 11:15AM of June 27th to learn that your employees are so loyal to your policies that they will not make any exception, will not share your email address, telephone number, so as a customer I could express my concern for the mistreatment of this 90 year old gentleman. People and businesses that have zero empathy for good people, especially for the aged, children, and the infirm, deserve zero respect. Hoping that as you experience the effects of aging that you will come to understand that there are circumstances that ANY DECENT HUMAN BEING should allow exceptions for. This is one of you customers expressing the inexcusable behavior shown toward an elderly customer of DAVIS LOCK AND KEY. I will also be posting this on the web encourage existing and future customers to contact you to teach you the lessons that your parents and your church obviously failed to teach you. Hoping that John Davis was treated with more consideration in his old age Mr. PEOPLES! . Your new advertising motto should be: "DAVIS LOCK AND KEY; WHERE CUSTOMERS ARE CONSIDERED "THE PUBLIC". PLEASE contact management to help people like this elderly customer be treated with basic respect. I am copying an email sent to: CONTACT@DAVISLOCK.COM. Worked fast and efficiently. A little expensive, but I didn't shop around. Door knobs worked great.

Ask the Community - Davis Lock & Safe

I need my front door lock rekeyed and two bedroom doors that have a lock on the inside but no keys on the outside? I need this done asap for safety. I have to be in Hillsboro by 8am. I'm on a low budget. I know how to do this myself just no time too.

Had a great experience with these guys today…read more I was preparing to bite the bullet and get ready to buy a new garage door/motor after several past fixes from other companies never seemed to fully fix our track problems and issues with loud mechanical noises. However, American Garage Door & Key completely fixed in an hour what other repair people couldn't seem to solve. Our garage door is tracking smoothly and humming right along. Punctual, reasonably priced, great repair work, and they take calls on the weekend. Not a complaint one!

The repairman that came told me the seals were fine and also told me the springs were old and showed signs of impending breakage as they were not uniform on the bar they occupy. His quote seemed high, $1850.00, but we are new to Portland and have found things to be more expensive here. We wrote a check for that amount and after the tech. left I searched the internet for costs to remove old and install new springs for a 16' x 7' garage door. I found multiple examples of that repair for almost 1/3rd the price I paid. I did pay extra for springs that the tech told me had a longer warranty. I found it interesting that the tech., Dan R., has his snapshot on the review pages of American Garage Door and Key identifying him as The Manager. We were not given a receipt or warranty statement. I attempted to contact the business by phone and email to discuss correcting what I felt was a mistake in billing but got no response. Today I called the same business again to discuss changing the top 16' panel to one with windows. The same technician Dan R. arrived in the late afternoon, driving the same White newer Dodge Ram pick-up without any advertising for his business i met him at the door and recognized him immediately. He is tall and thin, a darker skinned young man with curly black hair on his head and beard. I asked him if we hadn't met before and he stated he did not think so and pulled out his cellphone to check for our address in previous conversations but stated he was unable to find it. He asked to see the door opened and took a photo. Again I asked if he hadn't been to our house before and he insisted that he did not think so. Our home is easily recognized as we have no plants or trees in front and one side of the property has artificial turf which looks like a healthy natural lawn and the other 1/2 is all grey pavers. I asked him the name of his company and he stated "Speedy Garage Doors". I had to ask him to repeat himself as his accent (he told me he was Jewish) made it difficult for me to understand. I thanked him for coming out and went inside to attempt to learn more about this business in hopes I could speak with someone about the cost of his previous visit. I have proof that we wrote a check for the first visit. The tech is easily identifiable. I'd appreciate being contacted by American Garage Door and Key. I'll check back here for a response.

Cheapest dealer wanted 440 for just the fob. not including labor and you had to program them in twos. One even told me that he wasnt going to waste his time on such a job (guy was very rude and arrogant). So i kept calling around. a few others said they had never done one and would charge me even if they failed. So i got on Yelp. messaged a few. Daniel messaged me back almost instantly wanting to chat over the phone about my situation. He was very polite and even straight up told me that they might not be able to do it. But he wouldnt charge me if they couldn't find a solution. So within 45 mins one of his techs arrived. At first he was unable to figure out the programming. He must of spent a full hour trying various things and talking to others to find a solution. He walked me and showed me various things along the way. At the end, he got the fobs to work as they should!!!! Very happy with my experience with Master Locksmith. And added bonus, I asked about a lock in my house that needs to be replaced. Rather than upsell me he was straight up honest and gave me some ideas that would save me a ton of money in the long run (vintage door lock). Great guys.

I described what I had and what I wanted and was told that a locksmith would need to come out to give an estimate. I also asked to take the locks into the location, since they locks were new and still packaged. The service agent on the phone said their location is under renovation, so they had to send a locksmith. It was very pushed to send a locksmith out to get an estimate and not once was anything mentioned about a service fee to do that. The locksmith that came out was fine, he was polite but also very pushy and came across as trying to get as much money as possible. He told me that the old lock in my door couldn't be removed (incorrect, I later got it out by watching a YouTube video and popped it out). He then quoted me $85 per lock and I needed 4 locks (3 key systems) adjusted to one key. This was way out of my current comfortable spending range so I declined and told him I would call back once I was ready. He then charged me $50 for a "service fee." I was very taken aback, as I was never once told leading up to this point that there would be a charge for an estimate. I wish I had declined to pay in the moment but was very uncomfortable and surprised. I also was alone in my home (all females will understand) and didn't want to have a confrontation. I feel this was a very shady business practice and I feel scammed. It is not the customers fault they do not have a store to bring the locks into and have to send someone out. They are also not responsive, as I gave my feedback afterwards in their survey they send and have not heard back. I explained all this and asked for my money back and have not heard back. I would not recommend this business to anyone. Learn from my mistake and go somewhere else.
