I wanted to write this review on May 8, 2021…read more I've thought about writing it everyday since May 8th. Thank you for your professionalism + kindness Jay. Story : I lost a key to my place. Did my googles, picked the first 2, 4 stars, read them chose one and scheduled an appointment. The tech showed up in a mini van with a huge dent, no business logos, no company shirt, etc. Red flags I ignored. I was not aware that calls would be dispatched out to contractors. I also never considered fake reviews on sites. I felt very uncomfortable with that persons work + IMMEDIATELY called Lockworx upon their exit. I explained that the last company dispatched their calls out and if his did the same I would continue making calls. I was very upset, Jay listened to my concerns, was very calm and kind. He then explained that he was a local business and could be there to assist, shortly. When Jay came in he politely, asked if i would share what happened. I shared my experience and why i was getting my locks changed twice within an hour. Jay educated me with tips to search for a good company in the future, about using local business. Of course I will always use this company for any locksmith work + will only refer Lockworx to anyone asking me for a referral. Jay rekeyed my locks at his truck and charged $50 LESS than the company with no branded vehicles or attire. Thank you Jay. For being human first and professional second. Called this company and they sent someone out to look. The tech said it's an interconnected lockset so they needed to check if they had to order it. A week goes by - no communication on if they had it, so I contacted them. They said they were checking their stock (for a week). Another 10 days go by and nothing from them, so I contact them again. They say they need to order it and it'll be about 6 weeks. So over 2 weeks of no communication...and seems no action on their part. September 2 they finally come to install the lockset. The manufacturer sent the wrong parts so could not install. They tell me they'll check to see when they can get what we need. So that same day I sent a detailed message with what we needed and we need to just get this done...since I had no idea if the office knew what was going on and/or if they were doing anything. No response until 8 days later..."We are expecting to get the parts next week and will contact you as soon as we get the parts." Over two months wasted and had to chase these guys to get ANY information from them. I ended up ordering the parts needed myself and have a different company (which is responsive) lined up to install.

My availability had changed and Lilly was accommodating. I contacted her when I was back home. When she was close she called and I met her downstairs from my apartment. Lilly was able to program a new key fob for my vehicle. I verified it works. She did let me know prior to starting that the key fob would likely not look the same. It was fine with me as long as it works. I tested the key fob and it locks, unlocks, and starts my vehicle. Lilly was friendly and patient and I would use this service again. From quote to work completion was less than 24 hours. For comparison, I've been trying to get another company to do this for weeks. i was playing with someones dog at a bottle recyling place when she spontaneously nose dived me,…read moreknocking me down and my car key out of my hand. i played with her a moment and then walked across the st where i realized i didnt have my key, and so walked back, but i didint see it, even though the same 3 people as when i walked away were still there (though the guy with the dog immediately booked it) it was gone. pretty much the worst possible place i could have dropped a key, save... sewer grate... off a cliff-- hot lava.... so basically, my car didnt move for several days while i arranged to have a key made. i had ultimately prepared to take the lock out of the door and have a friend bring it to a locksmith, and just before doing that THIS locksmith contacted me in amongst the all of the other quotes i had bulk requested. he offered to do it for the same price as the other locksmith, only i didn't have to take the lock out and bring it to him; plus he asssured me that the key would work, and he would make sure it started the car before he left. so i agreed. and in the end he was accessible, polite, proficient , AND i was finially able to drive the car away. nor do i regret petting that dog. i actually wish she was here right now so i could play with her.
