Don't think their pizza oven gets hot enough to fully cook even a large one topping. mine was undercooked and doughy and soft with extra sauce (I didn't ask for extra sauce). Somehow I have not been here prior but am now. Have asked for a special build pasta and also having a self made salad. Wheat penne pasta, marinara, pastrami, red onion, Ital sausage, spinach...is excellent. And I will return for further 'tests'. read more

They are super rude on the phone when you call in an order!! Wow. The young lady who just took my order could not have sounded more unhappy...scares me to think she is anywhere near something I might eat! Zero effort. They might want to do a bit of QA work on the call center. I should have just hung up. The Mona Lisa pizza is pretty tasty. Cheese steaks with extra meat and cheese are comfortingly yummy. A good gluten free pizza is hard to find, but daVinci's got it right! We ordered the Leonardo deVinci and the cheese was just the right amount of gooey, the sauce was flavorful, and the cream cheese gives it an awesome twist. The restaurant has a warm, family feel to it. We had a large party and the staff went above and beyond to accomodate us. We will definitely be back! read more

Return trip to Lincoln after many years. Used to frequent the location on Superior. Tried this one on 11th and wouldn't recommend. Salad bar was not very good and employee with horrible cough was hacking all over it. Took at least 15 minutes to order-employee didn't know how to work the register. She charged us twice for drinks and wouldn't correct it bc she said we got .60 off for each combo....the combos were listed as drinks being included.... She'd already charged us duplicate order for one combo and I had to point that out. Ordered wheat bread-came out on white,.. The actual food tasted pretty good. The soda machine had issues-the Brisk Tea tasted like water...Sobe water was flat as was Dr. Pepper... I realize it's subzero outside but felt as if the heat was barely on. read more

We love their cheese steak sandwiches. Ordered on-line, and the order delivered was incorrect. Took 3 calls to finally talk to manager, and she was rude and did not admit their mistake. She did offer new sandwiches but demanded old ones back. Not the way to run a business. Not only was the order incorrect, they were sub par. Very disappointed. read more

Used to love this place. Haven't been in a while. We went yesterday, and I don't imagine we'll be back, not if our experience yesterday is their new standard. The place was clean, as I remember. The staff were friendly, like before. But... our food was mediocre at best Our food came out all together: the mini pizza in the kids meal steaming hot- just the way a 2 year can't eat it. So she had to wait even longer. Even so, she took her first bite and said "yuck" then, after adding more cheese, ate less than one piece. She is not a picky eater and usually can pound down the pizza. Our cheese bread was cold and un memorable. The salad bar was pathetic. Dried out old icky onion slices, diced green peppers starting to get mushy, flavorless cardboard like tomato wedges. And imitation bacon bits. Ick. The chicken cheese steak sandwich with the works, the real reason we chose davincis, was awful. It was cold, dry, with stale bread- just plain fail! Best Pizza and Cheesesteaks in Lincoln bar none, they deliver and it's locally owned! They have awesome pizza but the Philly cheese steak steal the show. Why I love it: 1. The dough is cooked to perfection in the oven. Not to soft or chewy, but not to crispy. It's just right. 2. The sauce is traditional and not so sweet like Vals which I don't like. 3. The selection is amazing and every month they feature the pizza of the month making it a great deal like a supreme or 5 meat for only $11. 4. Oh and the double pepperoni and cream cheese pizza is so good it might make you never eat anything else again. The Philly Cheese steak are awesome and you can get them with onions mushrooms and peppers and they deliver. Sooooo good. read more

i've eaten at davinci's many times, mostly because they deliver. their pasta with alfredo sauce is decent. it is actually pretty good the first time you have it, but it gets old fast. the white sauce is not white, but more like a butter and garlic concoction. extremely greasy. if you get lucky and they put a fair amount of cheese on top, the dish is fairly palatable. their cheese steak hoagies are hit and miss. if you get one where they put enough garlic-butter on the bun, it's decent. if not, then you are left with just a small portion of meat and cheese (cuz i don't like peppers or onions) and the meat flavor leaves something to be desired. i ordered a pizza from there the other night. first time i ordered a pizza there and definitely the last. wow. i ordered pepperoni and mushroom small pizza and it came to $17 something, which included tax and delivery. i thought it was a bit high. i gave the delivery person $4 tip, so $21 something was the whole bill. if the pizza was good, i wouldn't be so disappointed, but it was some of the worst pizza i've ever had. the crust had large bubbles in it and practically no toppings, but a generous amount of pizza sauce. i basically had a pizza with pizza sauce and a very small amount of cheese on it. the cheese did not reach the edge of the crust, leaving a huge amount of pizza sauce at the top of each slice with ZERO toppings. it was really bad and i was very disappointed. the sauce wasn't even tasty, though if it had a smaller amount of sauce and some toppings, it would have been just okay. wish i could say something good about it. read more

The quality of the food here is unpredictable: 2 of the last 3 times that I've eaten there, the pizza had uncooked dough and the salad was slimy and gross. Their cheese steak pizza and cream cheese/pepperoni pizza is super good, but I don't think I'll ever order anything other than that again. I've never been impressed with the salad that I've gotten from them: the first time we ordered a combo meal, the salad was super small- it was supposed to be for two people but was barely big enough for one. Last time I bought two family size salads and my dad commented (same day they were delivered) on how this restaurant always serves brown lettuce... I took the remaining salad to work the next day and had to throw it away due to the abnormal smell/taste... Gross. So to sum it all up, DO NOT order salad from this restaurant (you might as well just throw your money in the garbage). Also, don't be surprised if your pizza had uncooked dough. Even though poor food quality is the fault of employees who don't care, it reflects badly on the family that owns these restaurants. read more

I will never order cheese steaks from here ever they always give me just bread and barely any meat or veggies and when I ask for the works and for them to add jalapenos they don't even put any on this has happen every time we order from them so I finally complained about it and they told me I needed to be professional when all I ask was they make the cheese steaks right because every time we just get bread and barely any meat or veggies.
