It was a special evening to help celebrate my new granddaughter and in-laws who had been in town for a month! The ambiance and music was beautiful. We had a new server in training both were wonderful. The food was delicious. My husband had chicken parm that I didn't even get to taste. Two I. Our party had a fettuccine dish both agreed was good. Absolutely Devine! Madison was our waitress with a group of 5 from MI, TX, CT and PA. Everyone was more than pleased with their entire' choice. The appetizers of Calamari and cheese rolls were amazing. I had the Pasta Combo, slim on meat though. Appeared purée. Large portions compared to prices. The German Chocolate cake yummy. Atmosphere was relaxing with covered outdoor seating available. Wide screen TV. We had a wonderful evening thanks to Madison and friendly and knowledgeable disposition. Thank you Napoli. read more

I'd been crazy Italian food and wanted to try something new. I'd heard and read mixed things about this place so I decided to give it a shot. We were sat right away and our poor server was very nervous. My date and I chatted while eating some bread with olive oil and Parmesan. Our food came out quickly I had ordered chicken Parmesan (my craving) and my date got pasta Alfredo. The server had already left but I looked and had been served spaghetti no chicken parm... easy problem/fix/confusion... I waited for our server to come back of another to come along and no one did. For a long time... finally I saw a female server and told her about the mixup and she was confused. 5 mins later the correct dish arrived! The food was pretty good but I also tried the spaghetti bc they told us to keep it. That spaghetti was bad. Not good at all! So I left with mixed feelings. :( read more

Amazing! Went to Napoli's in the Haymarket for the first time yesterday and they won us over. Upon entering, we felt welcomed in by the warm and cozy Italian inspired decor. From our first interaction with the host, who happen to also be our sweet server, to his recommendations of menu items, the pace of our dinner, and the most delicious main course- we couldn't be happier. Portion sizes are generous which made for a second evening of delicious Italian food. The owner came by to ensure we had everything we needed. We have found our new go to spot when we head back on our next trip to Lincoln. read more

My wife and I stopped in the town of my birth on our travel trailer trip to California. Let my wife choose where she wanted to eat, and she chose Napoli's. We should have went somewhere I wanted to go. It is in downtown Lincoln, and we had to pay for parking, which only added to my disappointment with this place. There was only one other table seated when we arrived around 5:00. Not a good sign. I ordered a meat lovers pizza. Disappointing. Pretty bland, and debating whether it was better than frozen might be interesting. I wouldn't go back again. My wife had spaghetti and said it was good. I tried some. Yeah, it was good, but we've had much better. My wife makes way better spaghetti. Maybe Nebraska isn't the place to go for quality Italian food. We should have paid attention to the 3.5 star rating for this place. It's clearly not deserving of more. Our waitress, Emma, was wonderful though. Although, she didn't ask if we enjoyed our meal, when we were done. She'd probably already learned her lesson from asking previous customers. Emma should be working in a better restaurant. It's obvious that management doesn't care either, as there is not one manager/owner response to Yelp reviews. They must be making their money from the bar, because that area was quite lively. Went to Napoli's for Valentine's Day about a year ago, we had made a reservation well in advance and got there early. Got seated in the middle of a pretty busy section, understandably so considering the holiday. My partner and I waited almost 45 minutes, hadn't been asked about drinks or been given menus or anything. We just decided to leave because by then it was already well past 8pm and we were hungry! Came here on the spur of a moment for dinner after seeing the pretty lights outside! I really like the aesthetic of the place. Got there around 9:00 p.m., so it was mostly empty. Service was pretty quick. My fiance and I first got the mozzarella sticks to share. They was so nice and crispy on the outside and the cheese pull on the inside of the amazing! Warm and everything. Some pieces have felt like there was too much breading but extra crisp haha. For the main course he got the Chicken Carsoni (sauteed chicken with broccoli and mushrooms and pesto cream sauce with spaghetti). That pesto cream sauce was amazing! Really good serving size as well; He barely finished half his plate! Generous amount of chicken there too. I asked for a version of the Dorian's special with garlic white wine sauce to make it healthy. No pasta, extra broccoli and no tomatoes either. This was bad. The sauce was so strong in lemon flavor. I really couldn't eat it. I managed to take the chicken out and wipe down the sauce from the outside, but the broccoli was very much infused with that lemon flavor that it was too strong to eat. I returned the broccoli and asked for extra plain steamed broccoli on the side and had that with the chicken instead. I was surprised that they charged me extra for a side of broccoli on the bill. This is definitely not what I was expecting. The brought fresh bread to the table at the beginning, but I asked to get it until the end because we both love our plain bread towards the end. This is a great spot for a group dinner. They lots of space. They did a great job of spacing out the appetizers and the entree's. The chef even came out to ask how we enjoyed everything. One of the worst, if not the worst, Italian restaurant I have ever been to. 8:00 PM on a Saturday night. It wasn't even close to full. Got sat right away. Order was taken promptly. Food took a while. I ordered Spaghetti with everything. When it came to the table it was cold. I mean there was no warmth to it at all. Tasted like left overs. It took a while to get someone's attention. The server asked if I wanted it warmed up or remade. I told him I don't want it stuck in a microwave. It came back warmer. Not what I would call hot. It was supposed to have meatballs, saugsage and mushrooms. There was a lot of sausage. No meatballs. The sauce was very bland. Very little if any seasoning. It just did not taste fresh or homemade. More like something out of a can or jar. I certainly didn't eat much. Maybe three or four bites. My wife's cheese tortellini tasted strange. Just not like cheese tortellini. We left most of our meals on our plates. I had to ask another server if we could have our ticket because our server had disappeared. By this time there were very few people eating. He either didn't notice our full plates or didn't care. He didn't even bother to ask if we wanted boxes, not that we would have taken any home. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

The bread was a little too delicious. :) My husband ordered the fabulous Pasta Combo and it came in the "come hungry" portion size. I wasn't impressed with the flavor of the Italian salad dressing. I ordered spaghetti with marinara and the sauce was good, but it was swimming in sauce. Finally, the house wine was not good and there really weren't many Cabernets on the menu. We expected a better house wine at an Italian restaurant (although it was only $7/glass). Our server, Kate, was excellent and very friendly. The food is bad. The tables, menu and floor are dirty. Don't eat here. 11:30 on Sunday morning. 3 table in the restaurant. So you would think you would get fresh food. Nope. The chicken claims to have been sautéed. It was baked 3-5 days earlier stored in the fridge then microwaved and served. The chicken was stale, cardboard, uber dry. The soup was room temperature. The salad was spent, it stuck together - soggy and slimy. They don't use fresh ingredients, canned mushrooms ect. Even the soda was bad because the syrup had run out. This is not a joke. It felt like I was on a tv show Kitchen Disasters and Chef Ramsey was going to come out from the back and close the place down because you could kill someone by serving this food. When we first arrived we were seating by a less than thrilled hostess and sat for 20 minutes watching other tables that came after us getting served before us. However, our server (Gavin) totally turned around our experience and I will certainly be coming back.
