Stopped here while in the area on a suggestion from a friend. Food was really good, and the portion size was enormous. I had the spaghetti with meat sauce. My son had 2 slices of pizza, never saw him eat so fast. Told me it was the best pizza ever. We sat at a counter facing the road, spent the time gazing at the cars passing by. He really enjoyed that, even spotting a few older cars out on the town. I purchased some cannoli's to bring home and share with the family. So sorry I told them I got them, they were amazing. read more

Davila's Pizza and Restaurant - Spaghetti with meat sauce. - Pizza Near Me - Hackettstown, New Jersey

Needed some lunch and this place was recommended so we stopped in for a couple of slices. Very cute, but small, place (4-5 tables). Greeted by the very friendly workers behind the counter and ordered our slices. Affordable prices and the slices were VERY good. I had one sausage and one penne slice that were warmed up perfectly. A nice crisp crust that didn't droop when I picked them up and a nice crunch in every bite. I'd certainly come back. read more

Many of their dishes are very, very good. I have not tried many others. I have a certain favor that I ordered here and have yet to be disappointed so I can't comment on the overall quality, but I enjoy what I order from them. read more

Thin crispy crust! So delicious and fresh. The perfect dinner to bring to Manskirt brewing down the street.

Best pizza in town the dough the sauce and the cheese and I like that they don't have a big crust. Not a fan of the places that give you and big crust read more

Wonderful place that saved me from a failure at a hospital lunch (Im a medical rep) Miles picked up my call even before 10am when they officially open, and helped me with my order that was delivered right on time! The hospital I did a lunch with love the food and kept asking where it is from . Thank you Miles and Davila's! read more

It's hard to find good pizza out here especially when you come from the Essex/Bergen county areas of NJ but this is the best in Hackettstown. A very good sauce and they have a nice crust as well. Everyone is really nice and the food is always hot. It looks about how you would expect a pizza place to look. read more

Love Davila's special pizza, 4 cheese AND their sausage and pepper/onion dinner on penne pasta. Salad is always nice and fresh too!

This place decided to tip themselves on my card when I did a pick up order. I placed my order online for my first time going here to make it easy. I went to pick up my order around 5PM and cost around $53. Then around 9:30PM when I'm home watching a movie I get a charge on my card around $3. Regardless of how much it is they stole my money and signed off on it themselves. I had to call my card company at 10PM and cancel my card when I noticed it because of them. I will never go here again and I highly advise not to either. I feel violated and very disrespected read more

Terrible Service because they decided to be cute and charge me a ridiculous amount for a specialty pie by charging me for each topping. Good thing they combined the Onions and Peppers and didn't split those into two toppings. They have a specialty pie that's similar. Why not charge that up charge change it whatever. No it's just easier to be stupid and lazy and charge for each topping $3.95!!!!!? Seriously I could get a whole jar of Olives from shop-rite for $1.88 I just looked it up for. You have to be brain dead to do this to a customer. But like I always say when it comes to people you can always count on stupid and lazy. Unreal and it's a shame too because this places pizza is real really good I will give them that the crust is thin and crispy not doughy and the ingredients and sauce all taste great and fresh. Too bad you rather rip off the customer. 47.87$ for a pie one plain slice and a can of coke!!!!! read more

I usually like this restaurant. Tonight, I ordered a turkey n provolone sub because I wasn't in the mood for pizza. Never again! They lost my business. 2 slices of turkey, seriously, no kidding. Sorry that's not a sandwich, maybe for a 2 year old. Never again read more

Best pizza & Italian spot in Hackettstown. My family and I visit frequently and are always so happy. Food is excellent every time, fresh and delicious. The grandma's pie and oil and garlic pasta are our favorite! Great staff, super friendly and welcoming. Could not recommend Davila's enough!! read more

Definitely recommend. Called on a Monday night, order 2 pizzas, and quoted 30-40 mins. I ordered a Margherita and Nonna's pie pizza. They are relatively similar flavors, but different styles. The dough was flavorful and the oven left the perfect amount of crunch on the bottom of each slice. read more

Worst wings in the business! Advertise something completely different but the pizza is still ok!

Love this place! We order from here weekly! The service is great and the food is amazing!

So let me say their pizzas are really good but not much else most of their pasta dishes (franchaise, scampi, Alfredo) are terrible. Their best sauce is their vodka sauce hands down. Sandwiches are ok. Customer service is mediocre. Now allllll pizza places when you order pizza pies upon request will provide paper plates NOT THIS PLACE .... lol they want to charge extra for providing plates what a joke read more

Placed an order for take out. Staff assumed the size of the order instead of asking or clarifying. Ordered boneless wings and received bone-in wings. Asked for extra sauce and received minimal sauce. Wings were dry and bland. Served with soggy celery. I would not return. read more

Davila's is located along a busy main street in Hackettstown, NJ. There is a combination of outdoor and indoor seating. The paintings that adorn the wall depict a pleasant countryside and add a nice atmosphere to the restaurant. The pizza is pleasantly thin with a crispy crust and base. The sauce tastes great and the cheese is greasy with a smidgin of salt. Overall the pizza is quite good and the staff was very polite and attentive. read more

Pizza was great, but $40 for 1 plain pie and 1 pie with sausage. Seems excessive for 2 large pies.

Decent pizza. Prices were kind of high compared to Sonny's up the street. Don't plan on eating in there as there are only a table or two. Would try it again. read more

The first time we moved to town we tried this and ordered a couple pizzas. Not impressed the pizza was super greasy and way to much sauce, as your taking a bite all your toppings are sliding off. read more

Best pizza in the area!!! We have pizza fridays in our house and every Friday we can't wait to order from Davila's!

Had a hankering for some good East Coast pizza and went here based on the only Yelp review to date. Pizza slices were very generous in size, crust was thin and good, not greasy with just the right amount of cheese - a true east coast slice! Garlic rolls were ok but I wouldn't get them again. Very affordable lunch! ($15 with tip for two). We ate on site but it might be better for takeout (about four or five tables). A bit cramped with pizza boxes stacked in front of condiments. Five on Food, two-three on ambience. read more

Okay, I've lived on the East Coast half of my life and have eaten pizza in every state in New England and in NJ, NY and PA (and this doesn't include the West Coast. This is definitely one of the BEST. Top 3 if not the best. I had the sausage and also the tortellini pizza slices and they were AMAZING! After reading other reviews from all sources it's clear I wasn't wrong and I'm not alone. It's a BYO so I will definitely be back to try their Italian entries. And, by the way, they are really nice Here's they update: they have great entrees too! I love the veal parm! And, now my friends also go here! read more

Conviently located in the heart of Hackettstown on Main Street . Plenty of parking in an adjacent parking lot. The pizza is great! We have tried most of the places in town and this is hands down the best. The establishment itself is very clean and the staff is very polite and helpful. We have had them deliver and the pizza came quick. I also recommend the mozzarella sticks. They use the slice app which does offer discounts. My new go to place for pizza! read more

So lucky we found this place by chance. We called multiple places who were closed earlier than business hours until we stumbled upon Davila's. Once we went to pick up, we noticed that they had all stayed open just for us, instead of leaving early like other places. Their pizza is the closest thing to a slice from the city so I'm so happy we discovered this gem. Kind people & amazing NYC style pizza, I'm always coming here when I'm in NJ!!! read more

Okay so I never write reviews but I just had to for this experience. We got takeout from Davila's and ordered the Nonna's pie. What we got was a bit different than the description, it had vodka sauce on it rather than the crushed tomatoes that typically come on a nonna's pizza. So I checked the website to find that they make two variations of nonna's pie - the traditional and the specialty one which comes with vodka sauce and prosciutto. I am a vegetarian so I stopped eating the pizza and we called to check with them. They confirmed that we were given the wrong pizza and immediately apologized. They not only offered to make us the correct pizza but they also delivered it to our doorstep. We didn't even intend to complain or get a new pie, just wanted to confirm which pizza we had received, but they immediately remedied the situation. In addition to this, the pizza was wonderful, well cooked and delicious. Their food is superb as is their customer service. Wish I could give them 6 stars. read more

Pizza is a cornerstone of Jersey culture, and In a time where chain pizzerias are a dime a dozen with their sauce that they squeeze from a bag, small crust that tastes like cardboard, and a price that just isn't even worth it, we should throw our support to the local family pizzeria and the family pizzeria that I back is Davila's Pizza. Why Davila's? Three reasons: consistency, quality, and friendliness. The pizza always tastes fresh, from the sweetness of the sauce, and the stretchiness of the cheese, to the crisp crunchiness of the crust. Now, Davila's offers more than just pizza there's eggplant parm, baked ziti, and my favorite alternative option the three brother's salad. Before Davilla's I'd never had a salad from a pizzeria that I've enjoyed, the lettuce was always warm and soggy, the veggie options were either lackluster or too cluttered, and the dressing was usually loaded with vinegar. However, the Three Brothers Salad has shattered my expectations of what pizzeria salads could be, with cool crisp lettuce, grilled chicken, broccoli, mushrooms, and red peppers, all topped with mozzarella. Finally, the most important part that keeps me coming back to Davila's is the friendliness of the entire staff that is felt from the moment you walk into the door for the very first time. I'm sure we've all experienced this you walk into a new place and try to look at the menu to look at the options all the while the staff behind the counter is fiercely staring which in turn rushes you. My first time at Davila's I was welcomed by a staff member with an open smile they asked what I wanted, and I said I was looking at the options and then they continued on with their work dropping everything the second I uttered that I was ready. So in short eat at Davila's. They have good food. read more
