Stopped here while in the area on a suggestion from a friend. Food was really good, and the portion size was enormous. I had the spaghetti with meat sauce. My son had 2 slices of pizza, never saw him eat so fast. Told me it was the best pizza ever. We sat at a counter facing the road, spent the time gazing at the cars passing by. He really enjoyed that, even spotting a few older cars out on the town. I purchased some cannoli's to bring home and share with the family. Needed some lunch and this place was recommended so we stopped in for a couple of slices. Very cute, but small, place (4-5 tables). Greeted by the very friendly workers behind the counter and ordered our slices. Affordable prices and the slices were VERY good. I had one sausage and one penne slice that were warmed up perfectly. It's hard to find good pizza out here especially when you come from the Essex/Bergen county areas of NJ but this is the best in Hackettstown. A very good sauce and they have a nice crust as well. This place decided to tip themselves on my card when I did a pick up order. I placed my order online for my first time going here to make it easy. I went to pick up my order around 5PM and cost around $53. Then around 9:30PM when I'm home watching a movie I get a charge on my card around $3. Regardless of how much it is they stole my money and signed off on it themselves. I had to call my card company at 10PM and cancel my card when I noticed it because of them. Terrible Service because they decided to be cute and charge me a ridiculous amount for a specialty pie by charging me for each topping. Good thing they combined the Onions and Peppers and didn't split those into two toppings. They have a specialty pie that's similar. Why not charge that up charge change it whatever. No it's just easier to be stupid and lazy and charge for each topping $3.95!!!!!? Seriously I could get a whole jar of Olives from shop-rite for $1.88 I just looked it up for. Definitely recommend. Called on a Monday night, order 2 pizzas, and quoted 30-40 mins. I ordered a Margherita and Nonna's pie pizza. They are relatively similar flavors, but different styles. So let me say their pizzas are really good but not much else most of their pasta dishes (franchaise, scampi, Alfredo) are terrible. Their best sauce is their vodka sauce hands down. The paintings that adorn the wall depict a pleasant countryside and add a nice atmosphere to the restaurant. The pizza is pleasantly thin with a crispy crust and base. Pizza slices were very generous in size, crust was thin and good, not greasy with just the right amount of cheese - a true east coast slice! Garlic rolls were ok but I wouldn't get them again. Okay, I've lived on the East Coast half of my life and have eaten pizza in every state in New England and in NJ, NY and PA (and this doesn't include the West Coast. This is definitely one of the BEST. Top 3 if not the best. I had the sausage and also the tortellini pizza slices and they were AMAZING! Conviently located in the heart of Hackettstown on Main Street . Plenty of parking in an adjacent parking lot. The pizza is great! We have tried most of the places in town and this is hands down the best. The establishment itself is very clean and the staff is very polite and helpful. We have had them deliver and the pizza came quick. I also recommend the mozzarella sticks. They use the slice app which does offer discounts. My new go to place for pizza! read more

So lucky we found this place by chance. We called multiple places who were closed earlier than business hours until we stumbled upon Davila's. Once we went to pick up, we noticed that they had all stayed open just for us, instead of leaving early like other places. Okay so I never write reviews but I just had to for this experience. We got takeout from Davila's and ordered the Nonna's pie. What we got was a bit different than the description, it had vodka sauce on it rather than the crushed tomatoes that typically come on a nonna's pizza. So I checked the website to find that they make two variations of nonna's pie - the traditional and the specialty one which comes with vodka sauce and prosciutto. I am a vegetarian so I stopped eating the pizza and we called to check with them. They confirmed that we were given the wrong pizza and immediately apologized. They not only offered to make us the correct pizza but they also delivered it to our doorstep. We didn't even intend to complain or get a new pie, just wanted to confirm which pizza we had received, but they immediately remedied the situation. In addition to this, the pizza was wonderful, well cooked and delicious. Their food is superb as is their customer service. Wish I could give them 6 stars. read more

Why Davila's? Three reasons: consistency, quality, and friendliness. The pizza always tastes fresh, from the sweetness of the sauce, and the stretchiness of the cheese, to the crisp crunchiness of the crust. Now, Davila's offers more than just pizza there's eggplant parm, baked ziti, and my favorite alternative option the three brother's salad. Before Davilla's I'd never had a salad from a pizzeria that I've enjoyed, the lettuce was always warm and soggy, the veggie options were either lackluster or too cluttered, and the dressing was usually loaded with vinegar. However, the Three Brothers Salad has shattered my expectations of what pizzeria salads could be, with cool crisp lettuce, grilled chicken, broccoli, mushrooms, and red peppers, all topped with mozzarella. Finally, the most important part that keeps me coming back to Davila's is the friendliness of the entire staff that is felt from the moment you walk into the door for the very first time. I'm sure we've all experienced this you walk into a new place and try to look at the menu to look at the options all the while the staff behind the counter is fiercely staring which in turn rushes you. My first time at Davila's I was welcomed by a staff member with an open smile they asked what I wanted, and I said I was looking at the options and then they continued on with their work dropping everything the second I uttered that I was ready. I made the trip out to see my wife's family this week.I stayed with my brother-in-law for a few days. He wanted me to try out this pizza place in town. It looks like a small eatery with a couple of tables inside and a few outside. They serve slices and pies. We ordered half sausage and half cheese along with garlic knots. If you don't know what a garlic knot is, it's a strip of pizza dough tied in a knot then baked and a garlic herb butter brushed on it. The garlic knot was soft, hot and tasted very good especially when you dip it in the sauce they give you. I really like how the sausage is sliced and added to the pizza. I see it all the time in New York and New Jersey pizzerias. I think it's a texture thing having it sliced vs bits or patty sliced when it comes to eating it. It's so flavorful and the sauce is not too sweet. The thickness of the crust was not too thin but not super thick either. Just right in the middle. I feel a criteria is needed when eating at a pizzeria. Are you able to fold it? Is it oily enough to see it dripping down your arm? Is it still edible next day after keeping it in the fridge? I grew up eating this type of pizza. I really enjoyed my experience. read more

Very good pizza. Crust is the exact kind of chewy and flavorful kind where you want to eat the crust. Cheese and toppings were well done. Sausage and pepper was good. The sausage is sliced lengthwise not in disks like pepperoni and added to the fullness of the flavor. Extra cheese was generous. Only fault that I found was the sauce did not have a big punch.
