Got asked for my ID multiple times, twice out of the blue before even checking out. I understand they might want to be careful but there are underaged people in there all the time with parents or friends, even when they have a sign that says "everyone in your party must present ID". Also, I've never been asked for my ID before checking out at any liquor store in the county or state so that was just odd. read more

My husband and I have driven by Davidsons so many times on our trip to the Denver, CO area but it was only this visit that we decided to stop in. I am so glad we did! This store is huge (much larger than I originally expected), clean, and well laid out. They have a huge variety of items to choose from and they were the first store I e been able to find a very sought after items I've looked for as we travel state to state! The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They are happy to make recommendations and share their opinion's on a variety of the products available. This stop is now a definite stop anytime we are in CO! I'll always make sure I have a little room in my suitcase to wrap up a favorite bottle I can't find at home! read more

Davidsons is now at 3 stars. They are in the Greater Park Meadows Mall area of large liquor vendors. They compete against Costco (Lone Tree) and Total Wine and More. Davidsons Scotch and Irish Whisky selection is superior to Total's. Total kicks their butt on bourbons and armangnacs. For 'commodity' (e.g. 750ml Makers Mark), they are within 1 or 2% of pricing. Why 3 stars? Davidsons' weekend tasting marketing is terrible. I used to receive weekly emails about Friday wine and Saturday spirits or beer tastings. No longer. I hope Davidsons is learning from the fate of Lukas Liquors. I want Davidsons to survive. Your tastings are more local and more insightful than Total's. Whether or not you choose to reestablish your market differentiation is up to you. read more

I just love shopping at Davidsons! The staff there are absolutely terrific! Anytime I need help with anything they are always there to help me and they all have great attitudes. Mary at the front cash register is head and shoulders above the rest and she has directed me to the aisle where the product that I'm looking for can be found and she is NEVER wrong. I purchased a $200 keg for my daughter's graduation party in Boulder, but the tap was broken. We spent 3-4 frustrating hours trying to make it work and only managed to get through about half the keg before giving up and having to buy more beer elsewhere. Davidson replaced the tap the next day, but by then the party was over, and it was too late to fix the issue. Despite returning a half-full keg, they refused to offer any reimbursement. This experience was extremely disappointing, and I won't be shopping here again. read more

They've got Highlands Ranch and Centennial close to me. Expect to receive your order at least an hour after the Doordash time says. I always come here when I come out and visit my brother. They have a great selection of local and non local alcohol. There are always great discounts on liquor which are far cheaper than back home. The employees are very friendly and the store is always clean. They also have a membership program where you spend so much you get money off your bill. Highly recommend! read more

For the last 4 years I have been a regular customer of the Davidsons store on Holly and County Line. About every 2 weeks we placed a fairly large order for delivery. The service was really good. I would place the order online and it would be delivered promptly in a few hours. The web page was a bit weak for searching items but we usually ordered the same things and for the most part it was usable. The delivery people were great and there was rarely a problem. Then about 6 months ago after almost every order I put in online I would get a phone call informing me that they were out of this or that. The reason I do online shopping is so I can check the inventory and order accordingly but their online inventory was never up to date. Living in this century I don't often answer my phone and find it a monumental annoyance to have to talk to someone unnecessarily. Then a few weeks ago they completely changed their web page. It appears to have been done by a junior high school team coding project. The first screen on open is a response window saying that I need to complete an age verification step. Clicking OK returns a 404 page not found error. It has been this way for over a month. Then when I try to log in it tells me my account has been deleted. After 15 minutes trying to resolve the account logon issue I gave up and called to place an order. What would you like? 12 bottles of Yellow Tail Sauvignon blanc. Hold on, I have to go check the store shelves to see if we have it. After a while he comes back and says we only have 8. Ok I'll take them. Anything else? A sweet vermouth. We only have the high end brand. OK. Give me your credit card number. Don't you have that on file? No. So we go through the ritual of reciting and repeating the number expiration date and secret code on the back. Please fix you web page and inventory system. So yesterday it was time to place another oder. The web page is still unusable so I called. He asked for my name. When I told him he said to someone else "Oh God it's him again. I said why Oh God? We are really busy. Would you prefer I call someone else? Yes. So I did. When I tried to email my story to the contact provided on the web info@davidsonsliquors.com it bounced so I decided to post it on Yelp. I hope you fix these problems. I will check the web every time I want to place an order and if I see it has been repaired I will try to order again. Until then adios. read more

Been shopping at Davidson's for over 10 years and was the best store in town. Recently I have noticed that most of the wines and liqueurs are not in stock. I voiced my concern and was told there were new buyers for the store. Sadly, they are failing. For the last two to three months we go there and half the Pinot's or Italian wines are out of stock. Or, holders in the Bourbon section because there is no stock. Sad to say, but I would find another option. read more

Thanks to Davidson's for making it so easy to surprise a friend/colleague with a bottle of bubbly... I went online to their website on a Thursday, picked out what I thought would pair well with cake, selected a gift bag to go with it, and bam... it was delivered the next day in the exact time frame that I requested. I'm kind of wishing Davidson's had a location closer to my home in Phoenix right about now... hint, hint! I have been a long time customer of Davidson's Liquors - until today. I bought a bottle of Whistle Pig Whiskey and before I opened it, the bottle cracked in my liquor cabinet (see photo). It was clearly a defect. I brought it back to Davidson's and not only did they refuse to do anything about it, they were very rude. I will take my business elsewhere from now on. read more

Just purchased a 24pk of Budweiser cans and the "best when purchased by" date was 12/15/24, basically 2 weeks away. The reason that I am posting this is because this is the third time that the beer has been close to the last sale date. At the same time, I checked the identic item at Walmart and their date was February 15, 2025. I know that many manufacturers will offer additional monies if retailers will take a load of close-dated product. Seems like this happens here frequently. I will make my future purchases elsewhere, and I hope everyone check their date codes closely. FR read more

Colorado has their priorities, they kept liquor stores and dispensaries (pot shops)open! Can you imagine a world with out these being open? A couple of places you can visit. They do have delivery. If you go, they are practicing social distancing. They have so much to choices from so many selections, so many many things. First time there it wont b my last to go back. This big liquor store is fantastic! The owners and managers must be awesome, because all the employees are always so happy--or at least fake it well! Every time I've been there, someone has always asked if I could use any help. I took them up on it a few times, especially my last visit. It was the afternoon before Thanksgiving, and I had not beaten the rush as I thought I would. Police were actually directing and rerouting traffic. The staff was as mellow and helpful as ever, though, and I was so impressed by the young man that helped me quickly acquire 2 of the beers our son requested. He even knew about the one they didn't have, telling me it's not available west of the Mississippi. The rewards program is not as robust as my regular Wine & Spirit store's, but I'm very grateful that they offer one. In fact I joked about getting a free bottle of Deep Eddy Ruby Red for my birthday, and it turned out I'd reached my reward points for a $10 discount, so that was fun. I've been fortunate enough to happen to be there during a couple of tastings. The first one happened to be on my first trip to the store, and coming from living in Utah for too long, i was probably a little too delighted by the opportunity! The host was very cool about it though. Both the hosts were so informed and accommodating at the tastings. Hoping to actually plan ahead to attend a tasting--let's call that my first New Year's resolution for 2019. read more

When go now it's like running around in Home Depot trying to find anyone to ask anything. I still go when I know what I want but the knowledgeable staff are just not there anymore. read more

You know you're getting old when you will intentionally drive out of your way to get a better deal on anything - especially when it comes to alcohol! We frequent this store for all of our alcohol needs, as it is fully stocked with everything you could want - for a cheap price! Their selection is HUGE and features a variety of beers/wines/liquors from around the world! Join their rewards program, as it saves a few bucks when you spend a lot. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable, can help you special order anything and gives killer recommendations. While this isn't the closest store to my house, it is just over the highway and down the road - making the trip, entirely worth it! read more

One of my closest friends came to visit me in Denver. While we had hit quite a few great spots while he was in town, he wanted to bring home some local brews. My brother in law recommended we stop in at Davidsons. Easy to get to, and there was plenty of parking. As soon as we walked in, we made a beeline for the wine and beer room. I certainly should have worn a sweater or a jacket, as the room is quite cool. I quickly forgot my discomfort looking at the wide variety and selection. My buddy quickly realized he needed to grab a shopping cart, and went to business once he retrieved it. After making his selections, we perused the liquor section, before checking out. He asked if they could help pack his 12 beers so they could travel. They provided a box with inserts, and gave us extra paper bags to pack between the bottles. Great selection and friendly staff. However, they do not set their coolers at a proper temperature for beer. The beer is always warm and I have shopped here for years so I know. If you want to buy beer and drink it on the same day this is NOT the store for you. My guess is that they keep their cooler around 60 degrees which is just a joke for beer or anything that needs to be chilled for that matter. For anything other than beer, or chilled white wine, - this is a great place to shop for your drinking needs. read more

Davdsons is really a superstore of liquor in SW Centennial/Highlands Ranch. It is large, well stocked and priced well. They have everything you need from beer, to glasses, to cigars and more. Just a place you can go in and get it all. My only complaint is that the last time we were in I was purchasing liquor and my husband was with me and we both got carded. I find this to be a ridiculous policy and one that honestly rubbed me the wrong way. I am sure they will say it is a liability issue, but it is ridiculous to card everyone in the party. If you are going to do that, then ban children from the place and post a sign about you policy. I doubt the little blonde with the stuffed bunny behind me got carded with daddy. I will probably go back if I need something special, they do have amazing selection, but I like some of the smaller places who know me better, so what if it is a bit more. read more

This is probably my favorite liquor store in the area. The prices are great- there are always sales on terrific bottles of wine- and the selection is wonderful. They also have a large selection of hard liquor and beers. The staff are incredibly helpful and always have a great suggestion in whatever your price range is. Free in-store tastings of wine, beer and occasionally whiskey on the weekends. Loyalty program that gets you $10 back when you reach a certain amount spent ($300?). Their very helpful staff can assist with picking out a bottle of wine or specialty beer, and their single-malt guru has forgotten more about Scotch than you will ever know. I contacted Davidsons to see if they could order a case of a very nice Italian wine that I read about on Wine Spectator. They replied to me that the wine was not distributed in Colorado which turned out to be a lie. I was able to find that wine in another (nicest) store and I couldn't be happier, the wine is amazing!! If you are looking for cheap wines this is the place for you. But if you are looking for high quality wines don't waste your time and go somewhere else. read more

I called this store multiple times to see if they carry a specific item. The first couple of times I was hung up on and figured they may be having problems with their phone system. The third time, someone picked up the phone and just let it sit there while they carried on a conversation for a decent amount of time without acknowledging me or 'answering' the call and then maybe they just walked away? I ended up calling their Centennial store and my call was immediately answered by a very courteous employee who provided exceptional customer service. So keep in mind, this 1-star review is very specific to the Highlands Ranch location. There are plenty of better stores in the area that provide great customer service and offer comparable, if not better prices and selection. I live nearby and have never been particularly impressed by this store but I wont be back to this Davidsons. Shouldn't hurt them too much though since they are too busy to answer the phone or speak to customers when they pick up the phone. Who picks up a phone without at least saying "please hold?" Davidson's is amazing. I am part of a few wine clubs but I seem to still find myself at Davidson's because the pricing is unreal. In California the bottle of white wine I love is $17, near my house at our little liquor market it's $20, at Davidson's it's $11. With my discount for our wine club our go to reasonably priced red wine is $17 and at Davidson's it's $14. I am always shocked to see the amazing deals they have going in the front of the store too. Most recently I ordered a case of wine on their website and picked it up. The staff is so friendly and helpful that I have made this my go to even though it's out of my way. They have a fabulous selection and the store while busy, doesn't feel overwhelmed with people. read more

I am traveling and wanted to find an obscure Cream Liqueur by the name of Amarula. I found exactly what I wanted at Davidsons Liquors. Of course, while I was shopping I had to evaluate their wine selection and I found some nice wines at quite reasonable prices. As they had some wines I hadn't tried, I found it lovely that they had reviews with rankings on some of their wine selections. This helped me with my purchase of Vintners new to me. Whenever I am close to Davidsons I will visit as I was totally happy with my purchase and their selections. As an aside...I was afraid to even check out their single malt scotch selection as my trip would not last long enough to finish a bottle. But in the future scotch selections might be in one of my reviews. read more

There is a tiny, very short, angry old man working here that is rude and hateful. Having routinely raided their fine wine room and top shelf scotches for years, spending thousands in the process, you'd figure I was one of their favorite customers. And the rest of the staff treat me as if I am (the scotch manager is great). But the small man with a thick accent has singled me out and has been viscous to me for years for some reason. Do to the Coronavirus I had to order online and pick it up curbside, which I understand. They refused to give me my $30.00 gift card because they said they had no way to process it. REALLY?
