I met with Jana on May 2 to discuss the alcohol for my October wedding. We spent time going over my guest count, drink selections, and everything I wanted included in my quote. About a month later, on June 5, I followed up because I hadn't received a quote. There had been a simple miscommunication regarding my wine selections, which I immediately clarified, and Jana responded that she would have my quote put together the following week. When I still hadn't heard anything, I followed up again on July 15. After receiving no response, I called the store on July 18 and spoke with a manager. He told me he would get in contact with Jana to clear things up. He proceeded to call me back a short time later and explained that Jana had already drafted an email but had never sent it. He told me I should hear back by Tuesday. Tuesday came and went without any communication, so I called again on Thursday. That's when Jana told me she had lost all of my information and had no way to contact me. That explanation was extremely confusing because we already had an existing email conversation, and I had just been told there was an email drafted waiting to be sent. When I finally received my quote, it didn't accurately reflect what we had discussed and even recommended 144 bottles of vodka for a wedding with approximately 90 guests, which made me question whether my information had been reviewed at all. What is even more disappointing is that we are loyal, weekly customers. I would have never expected such a drastic difference in customer service when I came in to plan one of the most important events of our lives. Mistakes happen, but any communication over the course of 92 days would have completely changed this experience. Instead, I had to repeatedly follow up, received conflicting information throughout the process, and ultimately lost confidence in trusting Bubbles Liquor World with our wedding. This is a joke of a liquor store. I placed a DoorDash order for two cases of beer and the driver made no effort to knock or ring our door bell. He just stood out on our front porch for a moment not even with the cases in hand and then left a note on our door that said, "sorry we missed you" with the store number. I called and asked them to come back with my beer and they said it was not possible because they had too many orders. I canceled my order and got no refund at all on here. We stopped by to grab some beer for the cooler on our way to Red Rocks. The store is pretty big. They have a huge selection of wine, liquor, and beer. Our only interaction with anyone was during checkout and it was fine. Nothing special or terrible. Just the average. I was a bit disappointed in the craft beer selection and the make your own six-pack options. Because I'm from KC, I like to try whatever beer is local and even take some home. I was surprised that they just didn't have that great of a selection of local beer. Especially considering how many products they have and how large the store is. Overall, it was fine and worked out ok for our purposes. If I lived in the area or on my next trip, I'll probably look elsewhere for more craft beer options. Bubbles is my go-to spot in Castle Rock for great craft beer (Colorado breweries or breweries from the PNW) as well as outstanding bourbons! I blame this store for feedback my semi-addiction to buying expensive bottles of whiskey over the past 3 years!!! (all in jest... not Bubble's fault they have to offer what I am seeking). The staff at this location is always so friendly and willing to discuss difference bourbon flavor notes and/or their personal experience with bottles of bourbon I am considering. I cannot recommend how great the staff have treated me at this location in the 6+ years I've lived in Castle Rock. The store is tucked into an area just off Founders and can be seen as you exit I25 (if heading southbound). There is a large parking lot, plenty of space in the store, and lots of wine and other liquor to choose from (just not my forte, so I cannot speak to that aspect of Bubbles). Back to bourbon... this store receives a decent allotment of allocated bottles and I have gotten lucky quite a few times over the years when I happen to wander in and see a bottle I've been searching for (think Blanton's, Bookers, ECBP, Larceny, etc.). I do like that you can only buy a single allocated bottle per visit, as I am a firm believer in letting others partake in the bourbon hunt. For my fellow veterans, this location also offers a discount for non-allocated purchases. You must have a military or veteran designated ID and be added to their system. This is such a great offering that I have not been offered at other liquor stores in the local area. My review says it all but to sum up... try this store, be friendly to the staff, and keep buying those bottles of bourbon (so the shelves keep getting stocked with new offerings!). read more

Surprisingly, not a great selection for lots of things - despite its size. Also, massively overpriced - again, considering its size. You would expect a store this big to have more and be priced better. Even cheaper brands are inflated by at least 20%. Service is pretty below average, and no one talks to you. After having been what I consider to be a relatively high volume customer at Bubbles Liquor in Castle Rock since 2018, I was very surprised and disappointed with my wife and my conversation with its manager today, and with our treatment following. We were complaining that the shelves for many of the liquor items we have been purchasing there for years seemed to always be empty whenever we come in now, and the manger said, in essence, that because the Colorado voters decided they wanted to purchase wine in grocery stores, his volume has dropped so much that he is not ordering those items regularly new, but that he would be happy to special order them for us. When our response was that, in that case, we would simply go elsewhere, where they are still stocking the items we purchase, he angrily shrugged his shoulders and walked away. Then when we were checking out, the cashier did not ask for our phone number, as is usual, and when I inquired why, she said she saw no need to do so if we were not coming back. So if, because of prior purchases, we would have been entitled to a discount, we were not given that opportunity. So, sad as I am to say, we will not be returning to Bubbles liquor. And while the manager and his employees may wish to blame Colorado voters for what will likely, ultimately, be their demise, it is clear to me that their punitive attitude to their customers will also play a big part. One of my friends who lives in one of the nearby towns suggested this place because of a large selection of wines they carry so I took his advice and went to pick up a couple of bottles a few weeks ago. Besides the fact that the store is/was not very well-lit (looked a little dark inside so I didn't feel very inviting to be frank), I enjoyed it overall due to a good experience with a few of the workers I had interacted with. The male worker who came by to check on me to see if I was finding what I was looking for, started his conversation by paying me a compliment on my white sneakers I had on that day. Then he went on to educate me on the (Spanish) Garnacha I was holding in my hand. Yes, I still have to admit that I have other liquor stores that I favor more, Bubbles did satisfy my needs to 90% of my shopping experience. If I am in the neighborhood in the near future again I will shop there for sure. read more

I attempted to make a purchase from this business, and was approached by a cashier that demanded I wear a mask. I politely informed the cashier that I was exempt due to a medical condition, and she stated "we will be unable to sell to you." This is in clear violation of CO Executive Order D 2020 138 Section L: "L. The following individuals are exempt from the requirements of this Executive Order: Individuals ten (10) years old and younger; or Individuals who cannot medically tolerate a face covering. " I would advise anyone to stay away from businesses that discriminate against those who cannot medically wear a face covering. read more

I've lived in the Castle Rock area for many many years and ten plus years ago before the mad rush of everybody and their brother moving to Colorado, Bubbles Liquors was great, I knew the employees and the employees knew me. I used to be able to order certain higher end labels that Bubbles usually did not carry and my orders were filled........Great customer service, back then....... Now let me tell you what the last six months have been like........ I called Bubbles Liquors to inquire if they had a certain bourbon in stock, the employee I spoke to sounded like I was annoying her and when I asked if they had the bourbon that I was wanting in stock she replied, "Well, you will have to come in and see, I'm NOT allowed to give that information to you over the phone" and then she hung up on me. (That was strike one!) A couple weeks later, I went into Bubbles Liquor, thinking ok everybody has a bad day, you can't judge a store by some twit they hired off the street with absolutely no customer service skills. I walked over to the counter to the southeast portion of the store to where they keep their more expensive liquors and I proceeded to look on their shelves for the bourbon that I wanted. A manager from the back office looked out and asked if I needed help. I told him that I was looking for a specific bourbon and I said the name of that bourbon. He then said to me, "Well, you don't see it up there do you!." I hope to God that the Owner(s) of Bubbles Liquor World are reading this review........with that comment by that manager, I exited the store and have not gone back since! I have told at least twenty plus people of where NOT to go for liquor. I HIGHLY recommend going to Total Wine in Centennial, their employees are knowledgeable and definitely more friendly. A quick run in for non-alcoholic beer for Dad took a great deal longer thanks to their mislabeled price. I pointed out that this 6-pack rang up more than the shelf sign, and the pleasant cashier ran back to check. Yep! Wrong! The assistant manager was called; he affirmed the over-charge, and left to get the Manager for the refund. The Manager made his was over, nodded gravely, and got to tapping. After several minutes of tapping and swiping, the over-charge amount went back on the card. Manager spun around and briskly walked away. I'm clearly dressed for today's feast, not leisurely purchasing beverages for a solo couch event. No apology. No discount. (By the way: the store was hardly busy. Tiny selection when they have stock but most of the time their shelves are 1/2 empty. their whiskey prices are 20% higher than other larger warehouse liquors and if you ask them to price match they won't give you rewards points. as for top shelf or allocated. don't even bother. read more

For a place this size, they sure don't have any great pricing on things. (I had lots of time price checking as I circled the building). I was in Castle Rock for an event and needed something specific. When I went in, there were cashiers standing around being chatty. No "hello", nothing. Whatever. I'm not needy and can usually find my own things without help. Though a greeting would have been nice. I circled this place, not once, not twice, but three times, thinking I had missed my item. No employees in site, except on front, who now seemed to be checking people out. I walked up front when I finally got frustrated. After the final two customers were checked out the cashiers began again a conversation. Again, no acknowledgment that I was there. I had to interrupt their personal discussion. I told them I was looking for Wheelhouse Canned Cocktails. They called someone from in back to come out to help me. He walked me over to the "mix" section, where Bloody Mary mix is found. Way on the bottom shelf were my ready made cocktails in a can, $3 more than in Denver. Ugh. No way. I suggested he put them in the fridge next to the pack of beers, and left to go buy them in Parker. read more

I understand the difficult times we are in but when the manager (or maybe it was the staff that promised the manager would call) doesn't care enough to make an effort to follow through, you have lost my business and my friends business. Wow really over priced. Everything was 2 - $5 more expensive than the little shop by King Soopers on Castle Pines Pkwy. Johnnie Walker was about $11 more than what I usually pay, the Ciroc Vodka was a good $8 more than elsewhere without looking for a bargain. I looked in the high end case and one item was $1000 more expensive than Costco. You'd think they'd have same or lower prices to keep you in their store shopping. I am not going to go to Costco to save $1000 and just leave - I am going to buy other stuff while there. If these guys were more competitive, I'd shop here instead and they could reap the halo effect of getting me in the door for a high end item. On the plus side, the store was beautiful, clean and well stocked. Very attentive sales people. They have a loyalty rewards program but after finding out about it, you'd save more just going to a place with less mark up. read more

I ordered kegs for my wedding. They said it would not be an issue. 3 days before they call me and tell me the wrong kegs came (it happens). I have been their customer for years. They manage to tell me they have only one kind now that I have never had... I ask "Dale" the manager if there is any type of discount he can give me since they made the mistake and I have never tried the beer. Dale said "NO" not a chance. Pretty rude about it. Because when I go to Bubbles Liquor World, I grab a cart and just wander around for what is probably way too long to admit. I may have gone in for one thing, but I'm most likely going to leave with a box full of wine, beers and assorted spirits. Really? Just me? Forget I asked. Honestly, I cannot go into Bubbles for "just one thing." I inevitably need to check out the wine sales, and will end up with a bottle or two because the price cannot be beat. I also love to see what crazy new kinds of liquors have been invented since my last visit. I mean, for a long time Vodka was just Vodka... but now you have an endless array of flavors! Seriously, do you need your Vodka to taste like bacon, glazed donut or buttered popcorn? There are dozens of new flavors and Bubbles has them all. On my last visit, they had Wasabi Vodka. I mean come on! Don't tell me you're not curious! What I really love best about Bubbles is the craft beer selection. With countless craft brews in both 6-packs and bombers, you are certain to find something unique that you've never tried before. If you can't decide, you can also build your own 6-pack. They always have a really nice variety of beers to choose from, making this the perfect way to taste a new brew without committing to a full 6-pack. It's also a great way to try all the new seasonal beers to find your favorite for next time. Finally, I just cannot resist the little tiny individual-sized bottles! Trial sized liquor, yes please! Went in here to do some mass shopping for work gifts, fully expecting an outstanding selection of craft beer, with the hope that they might even had some pumpkin beer left over (previously pregnant wife had missed out!) I was sorely disappointed. For the size of the store, my local small liquor store had a much better selection. Couldn't find a single bomber for Christmas gifts other than a small selection they were getting rid of in a shopping cart up front. Couldn't find Tommy Knockers either. To make the frustrating experience even worse, I was passed by several store associates without a single "Can I help you find something?" While looking for a very specific local wine, I was told that Bubbles had it! With this goal in mind, I decided to trek 15 miles to this haven of fermented grapes and barley. Upon arrival, I was fairly impressed. The size of the store was impressive and I really enjoyed the large selection of single malt whisky. While I began hunting for my 1 case of delicious wine, I was lost in the vast wine section. Here's the important part... While I can easily understand that not all employees can possibly know everything that this place sells, I was hoping for a little more assistance. This is why I gave 3 stars... I was told that they don't stock the wine I wanted. The gal helping me was VERY nice, but not until I told her that her store was on the winery website and they had to have it somewhere in the store. We found one bottle from the vineyard, but not the one I wanted. Bottom line, if you know what you want and can navigate this place without assistance, they have an amazing selection...
