First time to eat here in several years, everyone enjoyed their dinner last night. We started with a flight, and after that, I enjoyed a pint of the Gabriel the Younger, while my wife had the Captains Kolsch. From there, we all had burgers and fries. My Big Truffle in Little China was fine, but not sure anything really stood out, and it didn't have the spicy kick I was expecting. Fries were pretty good but nothing out of the ordinary. My wife had the Big Mic, and my daughter had the Black Dahlia. Both had the sweet potato fries..,again, seems like they thought burgers and fries went fine, but they weren't blown away by them being anything out of the ordinary great. Service was strong. Always around when we needed him. Food came out fast, and the order was correct. We don't eat a lot of burgers, but I'm sure we'll be back here at some point. read more

We have been loyal customers here for five years, but over the past year, we have noticed a considerable decline in the quality of service--particularly for women. A couple of months ago, a male server approached us and explicitly stated he was helping us because the female servers "didn't want to." Today, we experienced that same poor, delayed service firsthand. The male server gave us the "Gen Z stare" the entire time, walking away after taking drink orders instead of sticking around to take our food orders--even though the restaurant was not busy. Because of this slow and dismissive treatment, we ended up leaving without ordering food. Meanwhile, it was impossible to ignore the attentive, superior service the male patrons were receiving. It's no wonder this place has become a boys' club. Sadly, after today, we will not be returning. read more

We walked in and it happened to catch one of their game nights, which made for a fun atmosphere. We sat at the bar although there was plenty of other seating. Definitely a brewery vibe with vats in the back. The drinks were good especially the spicy marg. The happy hour menu was solid too. Great brewery in downtown Castle Rock. Once I'm able, I'd love to dine in! Generous portions. The sandwiches surprisingly great. The Rachel was delicious, with plenty of turkey. My only critique was the jalapeño slaw - I was a bit disappointed they just threw large chunks of jalapeños in there. I enjoy heat, but the bite I had blew out my palette and overwhelmed the delicious flavors under it. I'd enjoy if they were pickled more, or maybe diced finer, or potentially the middle white piths/ribs removed better. If they did that, I imagine it would be perfect and fit the description of "slaw" a bit better to match expectations. The chips honestly needed salt or SOME other flavor (just a bit disappointing compared to the rest of the meal) but nice and crispy. Great truffle fries. The burger had good flavor and seasoning, though! Very juicy and a good size! It was packed very nicely for delivery. No leaks or squashed food - everything in tact! Stopped in here while on a business trip for dinner. They have a large selections of beers that they brew. The two that I tried were really good, I do wish that the servers were old enough to have more of an opinion on the beer especially since I was from out of town and not familiar with the brewery. We ordered food which there is a very large menu. One of the guys in our party has Celiac and when asked the waitress was and staff were super helpful with this. She had a lot of suggestions as well as food options. Also went she put in the order she let the kitchen staff know and they cooked the food on a separate cook area, change gloves before handling his order. They were above and beyond making sure that our visit was great. My only negative was that the menu was online. There are so much food options that it was hard to scroll through it all. And other than a little sign on the table there wasn't much telling people they had food. If I am back in the area I will definitely stop back in. read more

Sadly! We've had two not great experiences our meals were overcooked hard and crunchy! Not sure if they've changed chef/cooks or if they can't do well with more than two people to serve! We waited for a very long time for our dinner ( and our check) the appetizers were good and came quickly .../but.. Service is tricky-every time we've come we wait for a very long time to receive our check and meal ! manager/ server didn't even come tell us sorry it's taking a while -The first two times we came here. The food was delicious ! We love the menu options as they are somewhat creative, but if they can't provide quality food, then it's not worth wait! until they make changes I'm afraid they will continue to loose business read more

Very good food and craft beer at a slightly elevated price point. We have stopped into Wild Blue Yonder a few times now and have been pleased with the service and quality of food on all occasions. While I have opted for one of their burgers on each visit (which are smash burger style) my better half has had a couple of different sandwiches and a salad and been pleased with both. Their cheese curds are also very tasty. The decor is that of a standard brewery with cement floors, a large open with brewing equipment visible, and a decent amount of seating. Nothing fancy or particularly interesting about the space. The beer seems to be pretty consistent with a few rotating taps that have changed on different visits but most of their popular selections seemingly on permanent display. It sits on the very far end of acceptable price to quality in my opinion so it won't be in regular rotation for us, but is a nice change of pace for a solid burger and beer. read more

Stumbled upon this place, and man were we happy we did! A nice variety of brews and cocktails to choose from. Wild Blue Yonder is a modern, inviting typical brewery style restaurant with unique menu offerings. The Nachos with elk meat were amazing and the Mac and cheese was creamy, flavorful and not too rich!! Smoked pulled chicken and topped with the perfect amount of buffalo sauce! After shopping at the Castle Rock outlets, we came here for some food and drinks. It's funny how it's a brewery, but all we wanted was the cocktails! But they have an amazing drink menu it was hard to pass up on. I am a sucker for an Italian soda, so I had to try it spiked, and it did not disappoint! The strawberry was so good, it was creamy and delicious! Oh boy, was it strong! I could only handle one. I chose the BBQ pulled pork Mac n cheese because I'm a huge fan of pulled pork and Mac n cheese. What a great combination! The Mac n cheese was so creamy, and the cheese was stringy! The pulled pork was cooked perfectly, and the BBQ sauce was tangy and sweet. It left me wanting more! The wings were so tender and juicy that the BBQ sauce was not overpowering. They let us have 2 dipping sauces, we got classic ranch and decided to try the mango aoli, too. The mango aoli was very hot, not expecting the heat, but it paired well with the sweet taste of the mango. The ranch was definitely homemade and was very good! The service was good too! We sat ourselves, and the waiter came to us, kept our drinks full, and our wait for food was quicker than expected! This place looks like it could be a fun night with corn hole and outdoor seating with lights. It was a perfect sunny day when we came, and they had all the doors open to let the breeze in. I have now been to Wild Blue Tonder Brewing twice and have had great beer and fun both times. Most recently we had driven down to Castle Rock to see what the Christmas lights looked like in downtown. As we pulled off the highway and were heading down main street, there were extra parking spots right in front of the brewery which is like a tractor beam pulling a ship into the Death Star. We were able to get a table easily and the waitress treated us right away and made sure we had access to the menu. They had a big selection available with lots of different styles, something for everyone. I chose to have the "It's Warmer by the Fire" which was described as "An English Porter brewed with cinnamon, orange peel, and spruce tips, and fermented with cranberry. Citrusy pine drives this brew, with mild roasty and chocolate notes and a touch of cranberry and orange." It was an excellent beer and was very seasonal. Wild Blue Yonder offers a good food menu as well. We kept it simple, but who can turn down an amazing soft pretzel with cheese sauce and mustard while you are enjoying a cold brew. This is one of my favorite bar foods and I love it when I see it on the menu. The pretzel here was big, soft and fresh cooked, delicious. The brewery filled up a bit as the dinner crowd came in, but the staff stayed on top of all the orders and were kind and friendly. If you are in the are give this craft brewery a try. read more

Three stars for the food and drinks, zero for the service. The woman who waited on us (heavyset, brunette, and completely monotone) was shockingly unfriendly. I'd tell you her name, but she never offered, she never even said hello. Her demeanor suggested she was attending a funeral, not working in hospitality. Anyone can run food and drinks to a table, but basic courtesy-a greeting, a smile, anything-shouldn't be too much to ask. Instead, she approached us with a flat, "I'm taking over the back tables so I have your table." That was our first interaction with any server back there, so... what? Maybe start with something like, "Hi, I'll be helping you today," or even, "Did you need anything?" At least pretend you're here to serve guests. It was a bizarre experience, as if we were intruding by doing exactly what patrons do: ordering food and drinks at a brewery. The food was solid, the drinks were good, but the service? He took forever to take our orders and then even kept forgetting about the table next to us. It was dead inside too so it wasn't like it was busy. I ordered the gyro which was also awful. My fiancé loved the Scottish red ale beer, and his Mac and cheese! The place itself is cool and it looks like they have a big outdoor area, we'd like to come back and sit out there but it was too cold when we went. Our service was good. The day we were there the online menu was down so we couldn't see what any of the mixed drinks were, so I'd like to come back and try something. Giving this place 3 stars because my food was pretty subpar (the salad and sandwich). I could have ordered the wrong thing, but I just wasn't impressed. Wild Blue Yonder Brewing is a pleasant surprise stop in Castle Rock. The beer selection is impressive along with the mixed drink offerings and extensive menu! The salads were delicious and the sandwiches were delightful combinations. The fries and green chili were a little lacking in flavor and came out room temp, but overall everything was delicious. This sweet little spot has an amazing backyard patio with lawn games and tables along with ample bar seating and dining room seating. The vibe is relaxing and local. The food did take awhile to come out, but we were a larger group and it was worth the wait. If you find yourself in Castle Rock, do yourself a favor and make a pit stop! read more
