Three weeks later, I had not heard back and called to inquire as to the estimate status. I was basically told to chill and they would get back to me when they would get back to me. Another three weeks went by and I worked up the courage to call again. At that point, he said they were too busy. As I do not live near the shop, I told them I would pick it up when i was in the area, which happened to be today. I asked the gentleman why he bothered to take it in. He did apologize but didn't really have a good answer. I probably spent about 3 hours of my time plus gas on this little adventure.
