What an awesome business. Fredy has been making keys since 2007. He is prompt professional, and reasonably priced. He let me choose between black and orange for my replacement OEM Volvo remote. He cut the new key blade and he fixed my old key. I have a new lanyard and orange remote which is pretty cool. He does Ferrari keys and the new Land Rover keys too. Thank you Fredy for your help with my Volvo. You are likely the best in Los Angeles in terms of quality and overall price. I will be sure to reach out the next time I need your services.

Freddy is the man! Very professional. Helped me out in a stressful situation after I lost my car keys on a flight to LAX. He got me setup with a new key fob in less than 30 minutes.

BEWARE!!! No guarantee they will provide you with a functioning key!! DO NOT PAY UNTIL SERVICE COMPLETED!!!

WOW what a shady company.... Beware and watch them while they do the service to make sure they don't make extra copies of your car key!!!! He made an extra copy of my car key that I didn't authorize or ask for, tried to imply that I should pay him more for it saying "do you know how much an extra key costs?" then when I said "I don't need that and I didn't ask for that" he took the key with him so now some weirdo has an extra copy of my keys and can steal my car!!!! What does he need to take the key for? It's already custom cut, he can't use it again, he either took it to be spiteful or he took it with bad intentions because he wants a copy of my keys! I feel so unsafe knowing he has an extra copy of my key. Also, three days later my electronic key DOESNT WORK, it does not lock or open the trunk anymore!!! So I paid $200 to program a new key for nothing. I took it somewhere else and they fixed it in 10 minutes and said he is a scammer. I could tell from his energy not to trust him. VERY RUDE AND SHADY. Plus his name is Fredy not David, I will have my lawyer follow up on this to see if this Fredy individual is licensed and operating legally. I reached out to him to fix the situation with the non functioning key and he said he doesn't provide a warranty for his work so if the key doesn't work you are just out of money. So anyone hiring him should be aware of that and make sure to test the key and watch him so he doesn't make extra keys. I am very disturbed and have emotional distress from this whole situation!!!!

He happened to reply after I had already scheduled someone else, but I decided to book an earlier appointment with him to at least have him assess the situation He arrived on time and was able to get everything sorted out fairly quickly. One thing I would recommend is confirming the pricing and getting a quote beforehand, since there wasn't a prior quote and there was some initial confusion about the cost. Definitely better to clarify everything before any work begins I ended up having two locks installed, one smart lock and one traditional lock, and both installations were done pretty quickly. He also made duplicate keys for me, which was convenient. The work itself was efficient, although there was some debris left behind that I had to clean up afterward Overall, I'd recommend Jin if you're looking for something quick and effective, especially if you're in a last-minute situation like I was. Just keep in mind that the service can be on the pricier side, and I'd recommend confirming the quote and scope of work upfront. Still, I'm glad I was able to get the locks and keys sorted out before my trip!

UPDATE: Two weeks after my key was fixed, the remote on my…read morecar was no longer working . I had to unlock/lock my doors manually. I called Mr jin to see if he can look at my key again. As a young woman, i felt that having a functioning key remote made me feel safer . Mr Jin came by and said that the battery was dead which i thought was very weird since he just made a brand new key 2 weeks ago?? Did he use an old battery? Or was there another underlying issue? I questioned him about this but he just kept saying it needs a new battery . He wouldn't show me what was wrong with the key, just kept going to his van to look at it and INSISTED it was the battery. It Still didnt add up to me ... Anyways he opened the key, replaced the battery and charged me $40 for his time and gas to come out to me. I thought that was CRAZY since the key was malfunctioning due to his own fault and he just replaced the battery?!!? I just paid him and then went on my way. At that moment, i knew that he lost my business moving forward. 3 weeks later my remote stops working AGAIN! I go to another locksmith and they opened up my key, showed me my remote and said that when mr. jin opened the key remote. He broke a small piece, the small piece missing promotes the battery to drain fast and/or is not allowing the battery to power the remote. They replaced the battery for me in the meantime and then recommended i get a whole new remote if the problem continues . TLDR: So I PAID THIS MAN OVER $250 FOR A BRAND NEW KEY THAT LASTED ME TWO WEEKS. HE DID NOT EVEN TAKE THE TIME TO INVESTIGATE WHY AND OVERCHARGED ME FOR A HALF-ASS JOB. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. NOW I NEED A WHOLE NEW KEY PROGRAMMED BECAUSE HE BROKE MY KEY & DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HES DOING

Antonio was very professional, fast at coming over and giving an estimate, and super responsive…read moreover text while we waited for the correct lock to arrive in the mail (i had ordered the wrong one). He did a great job, and had a very calm vibe throughout it all. He installed a Schlage smart deadbolt on my solid wood door. Highly recommend.

After a slew of aggressive, condescending phone calls and texts I had to block this business owner from my phone, and requested we keep our communications on the app. I have yet to receive any compensation or response to my message. This is a human who just used ASAP|unlocks services, which really seems to be more like an app for lock techs who run their own businesses through ASAP. The techs ASAP sends actually run their own businesses, charge their own prices, apparently, despite what ASAP advertises. After sending a request on Yelp, I was sent (through Yelp) a base rate for $69 on a "Basic Lockout". I suppose it was my fault for not asking what the guy he sent from "Blue Locksmith" (or something like that) charges. The tech from this other company pops the door open in 10 seconds and says $395. I said the ad said $69 for a basic lockout. It took him less than a minute. That sounds pretty basic to me. I say I don't have $395 and he laughs and gives me a high five. I said that's prob my fault for not asking. He laughs and says yeah. I talk him down to $195, pretty caught off guard and burned by the false advertising. He said the $69 is just to send the tech (despite the offer of "free estimates" and $69 being the ADVERTISED base rate for basic lockouts) Bottom line ASAP and its associated businesses do not honor advertising and resort to price gouging to people in desperation with strangers gaining entry their houses asking for money they weren't expecting to have. Avoid at all costs and always ask questions to slippery people like ASAP.
