Wonderful customer service!! The dresses they had were absolutely stunning. The employees there were such a big help for finding a dress.

The service here is horrible. The staff is clearly catty toward each other and made me feel uncomfortable and like a burden. Additionally they put me in a dress I fell in love with only for it to not be an option as it would not arrive on time. I then ordered a different dress and got a text notification my order was ready for pick up. I then drove to the store and it was only an extra piece of fabric, the dress had not yet arrived. I asked them to make sure as the text did not clarify it was part of the order, just the order itself, so I would expect the whole order to be there. Still, no dress. I now have to call the store when it will finally arrive to tell them to ship it to my house. Which I asked if that could be arranged without needing to contact them again, I was told it's not an option and I would have to contact them again. After multiple inconveniences, this feels like another one added to the list. Absolutely a waste of my time and I still felt as though the staff could not care less to help even if their service was inconsiderate for their customers. read more

This past summer I was in two weddings and went to two different David's bridal stores and boy were the experiences so different. My friend, the bride scheduled an appointment for about 8 of us. The consultant who helped us a little stand offish. She seemed a little overwhelmed and wasn't super friendly. Half way through the appointment my friend realized the color she wanted wasn't the color she thought so we had to switch what we were looking for. The consultant was not happy about this and kept questioning the brides mother. Over all we were able to find our dresses. When I picked up my dress the staff acted like I was inconveniencing them. While I was waiting I asked about alterations since I would have two David bridal dresses and I asked if I could get them both altered together and the woman was really rude and acting like I was ridiculous for asking that question. When the staff person carried out my dress the plastic was not tied at the bottom and she stepped on the dress and the bottom of the dress dragged on the floor. She made eye contact with me but said nothing. I was too shell shocked to say anything. When I tried on the dress the hem was covered in dust and there was foot print on it. I had to get it dry cleaned. I ended up getting my dress altered by a local business and after talking to other bridesmaids I made the right choice - it was a way cheaper option. I knew going in David's bridal is affordable so I wasn't expecting the best quality but I was a little surprised how cheaply it was made - there were popped stitches and uneven edges. David's bridal is a great choice for an affordable bridesmaid dress I just wouldn't go to this location or get alterations with them. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The whole experience between finding a dress, and trying to figure out alterations was terrible. I have a bigger family, and wanted to bring my 3 sisters along with my mom, aunt and two of my nieces. They gave me a hard time with bringing a bigger group of people. During the process of trying on dresses, the lady that helped me out was not very nice and seemed annoyed to be there. When it came time for alterations, my dress is strapless so I wanted to order straps. I bought the straps from David's bridal (a lady there helped me find some), and when I went to go try them on with my dress for the alterations, they claimed I got children sized straps and suggested that I had gained weight in between getting the straps and doing alterations which was only a couple months. I trusted that they sold me the right size straps, only for them to insist that I never got them from them in the first place. First off, you never tell a customer, let alone a bride that she gained weight. The entire dress fit me except for the straps they sold me. If I had gained weight, the dress wouldn't fit me at all not just the strap part. You'd think working in the bridal department, they'd be more caring of how they treat their customers. I left there crying after the appointment for how she made me feel. It should not be that way. Needless to say my whole experience with them was not great, and I hope that you do your research before coming here to find a dress. read more

I found my dress her so I thought alterations with them would be an easy process. 20 minutes into getting my dress on and taking measurements, they cancelled my appointment because they are under-staffed. They quoted me as much as the dress for a bottom hem. After I left, I read reviews for alterations here and they were not good. I would recommend going somewhere else for alterations. read more

I hate to leave bad reviews HOWEVER we had a pretty bad experience with this location, specifically with alterations. We went shopping for my September wedding in December to allow enough time to find the right dress and allow for alterations, considering my wedding was in the Pittsburgh area and I reside in Atlanta. I ended up finding a dress I LOVED but the area around my bust came way too far down for my liking. I was told by the seamstresses on site that they would be able to put in a modesty panel there to cover some of my cleavage (as I am a DD cup). Knowing this information, I decided that this was the perfect dress for me, and it was reasonably priced at under $800. I then scheduled my first dress alterations appointment for when they recommended which was Late July/Early August. I flew back to Pittsburgh for this alterations appointment which went as expected. I will say that alterations cost over half the cost of my dress which was extremely unexpected (just under $500). So, buyer beware if you plan to have your alterations done at a David's bridal, that you will likely be paying this cost or more. The seamstress took measurements to hem the bottom of my gown, which alone was $200. She also recommended that I tighten up the cap sleeves, which I assumed I would need, and we also added a bustle. I had a ball gown type dress, with lots of tulle at the bottom. I had then asked about a modesty panel and she said that was absolutely no problem and it would be done with no issue; it could be done with what material is left from hemming the bottom of my dress. I had once again flown back strictly for this second fitting one weekend to find that they never put in the modesty panel. I was internally panicking as this was the beginning of the month of September, and my wedding was the 17th of the same month! The seamstress who was helping me was lovely, and super helpful. She informed me that she is only allowed to do bridesmaid dresses, and she would call over one of the employees who does bridal gowns. As it turns out, the original seamstress never rang up that we were doing a modesty panel. The new bridal gown seamstress I was speaking with insisted that we never asked, as opposed to admitting they made a mistake. They also showed me the material left over from hemming my gown and it was little to nothing. She said there was no way they could use that to make a modesty panel and that they were unable to provide fabric to make it, meaning I now had to go to a store and buy my own, and bring it back, so that they could do it. The seamstress insisted there wasn't enough material because I'm tall (I am 5ft 5in, and had 3-inch heels on. This was a ball gown, there should have been PLENTY of material). The bridesmaid seamstress was recommending so many options to help, and the bridal gown seamstress was blatantly rude to her saying things like "what are you thinking ?! you cannot do that!". Honestly, I felt bad for the bridesmaid seamstress as it seems she is truly unappreciated at this location. I asked how much more money I would need to pay to have this done, and she told me $30-35. I honestly was in shock at this point considering it was their mistake, that I had to pay to have this done, considering I was now having to go and guess on what fabric would make sense for my dress (considering I have absolutely no experience in how to sew anything or knowledge of what would look normal, or knowledge of how much material I should be buying). As I was gathering my things, the bridesmaid seamstress also told me that there was likely not enough time for alterations to even be scheduled to fix it and they are booked up. She recommended trying Nordstrom's or Alterations Express. Again, at this point I'm in complete SHOCK! There was in no way I would have picked this dress if I knew there was no option for a modesty panel. The front of the dress was so revealing that it looked like I was in a bikini. At no point was I offered a discount on any of my purchases or any compensation for the mistake that was made. After going to Joann's, and panic buying fabric, I looked online to check into other alterations places. Nordstrom's, as it turns out, will NOT touch a wedding dress that wasn't bought from them. Alterations express was my saving grace. At this point I was leaving to go back to Atlanta the next day, and I was able to contact them on a Sunday to look at my dress, and have them take measurements so that I can pick it up when I returned to Pittsburgh for the wedding. They did not require ANY material. They already had some on hand. They charged me $30 for the work which came with a complementary steaming, and I was told that if anything came loose, snagged, etc. they would fix it with no extra charge. If I was to get my gown steamed or had any extra fixing done at David's it was a considerable amount to do so! read more

this was awesome!! I usually have a hard time finding dresses since I'm a 20-24 in dresses but this place has a ton of sizes and for really great prices. I got my prom dress here and would recommend it over and over. Elise helped me with my dresses, she's an absolute sweetheart and made me feel good about myself, and was very helpful with getting extra sizes or clips. This is the one dress shop I go to that I always have a good experience at. I went to Davids Bridal at a different location last year and it was also amazing. I was extremely impressed with my experience at David's Bridal, especially my experience with Rebecca (stylist). First, scheduling the appointment was extremely painless. Their online platform makes it convenient. I also received a confirmation call the day before. The store is brand new. It is very clean, bright, and airy. I was greeted promptly by a sales associate, and they welcomed me. I was introduced to my stylist/consultant, Rebecca. Rebecca took time to understand my "vision" of my wedding and my dream wedding dress. Since it was my second time going to David's Bridal (first time was at a different location), I already had a top dress. I was going to DB for a second time to 1) confirm the dress and 2) have my female relatives experience the dress selecting process (I was alone the first time). Rebecca understood that 100% and discussed with me if I wanted to save the top dress for the last (i.e. to make the experience a little longer for my mom and sister). I also was a little apprehensive since I am a plus-sized bride, and I NEVER once felt anything less than beautiful. Truly! Throughout trying on all the dresses, Rebecca made the process so easy and wonderful. She tried to give me as much privacy as she could. For example, at the end, I needed to try on a different size long bra/corset. She was helping to take off the old corset and put on the new one (i.e. to do clasps on the back) inside the fitting room. She told me how to exchange them without ever having my breasts exposed in the fitting room. It made the process a lot more comfortable. Rebecca also had great insight into the wedding industry and wedding apparel. I 100% appreciated her recommendations and her comments. She also worked extremely well with my family! She also was just very kind, and I really enjoyed my appointment with her. As someone who was dreading this appointment and dress shopping, it was only made wonderful due to her. At the end of the appointment, we interacted with the manager and other staff. They were all so kind and helpful! Overall, I highly recommend this location of David Bridal. Was looking for a budget friendly option for my wedding dress and was nervous for my first dress appointment. Immediately the staff was so sweet to me and just as excited as I was! My consultant, Rosie was actually the sweetest person ever and was so attentive to what I liked and didn't like. After reading the glowing reviews here I just knew I was going to have an amazing experience at the Old McKnight Rd location. For the most part I did. The staff were helpful, warm, and helped me create the perfect color palette for by bridesmaids. That was a 5 star experience. After we found dresses for the bms, I asked to try on wedding dresses and I am grateful they found time for me to do this on a weekend. However, they did not have half the dresses I was interested in in my size. (Street size 16). I noticed there were very few plus size gowns there in general. One of the reasons I chose David's is because the brand claims to be welcoming to plus size women. It was really disappointing that the plus size section in the store was so limited. Also it has to be said that some of the staff should undergo training for appropriate behavior when working with African American clients. The young lady working with us was great during the first portion of the appointment/ helping to find bridesmaid dresses. When it was just her and I in the fitting room she touched the beads in my hair with out asking, a major faux pas/ micro aggression. She also attempted to speak African American Vernacular English in an effort to try to relate to me and my bridal party, which is again a microagression and uncalled for. read more

I've had such a great experience at David's. From Shay the consultant who helped me pick a dress to Amy, Joan, and Taylor in alterations. My sister got her dress here two years ago and she had a similar experience to mine. The staff knows what they are doing. Shay was upbeat and got along so well with my entire bridal party. The ladies in alterations eased all my concerns. They were attentive and knew exactly what I needed done to make this dress amazing. They matched the lace perfectly and went above and beyond, even returning my last alteration within a week. I had a great experience here and it made me excited for my big day! read more

I had a great experience here. I am Maid of Honor in a friend's wedding and this is the first wedding I've been in, so this is all new to me. We made an appointment for the bride and three bridesmaids to come in and check out bridesmaid dresses. Our consultant was Mishelle and she was wonderful! Since the bride decided on a color and material, we decided to browse the racks to each start with a dress or two that caught our eye. It was not very crowded when we went, so we were each able to have our own dressing room. Mishelle was there to measure us and exchange dresses for different styles or sizes. She was very personable and made our experience very fun and comfortable. It makes a big difference when consultant joins in our conversations and gets to know us a little more. She even went out of her way to get my friend's wedding gown so we could see her in it since we were not there when she purchased it. The only annoyance was that they didn't have the dress I wanted to try on in my size, so I had to go to the Monroeville location to try it on. I'm glad I did because the fit was awful and I ended up going with a different style. I was still able to call and order it over the phone to have it shipped to this location. read more

As we thanked our consultant Kayla for such a wonderful experience she thanked us in return for the compliment and asked, "Have you ever heard of Yelp?" I just laughed. Kayla had no idea who she was talking to. My friend (the bride) made an appointment for 9am on a Saturday. We braved the cold and were there when the doors were opened. I think we were the first party to arrive. Kayla greeted us once we checked in and took us back to our assigned dressing rooms. We were a bit of a rowdy bunch, catching up since we hadn't seen each other in awhile. Poor Kayla asked us to write down our names and contact info and offered to take measurements while we continued to chat away. The girl had patience with our group, that's for sure. Because this was only the beginning. Once our measurements were taken and we knew our sizes (a size or two higher than we were all used to in David's Bridal sizes) we went to the racks and started to browse. The bride wants us to be comfortable in short dresses because we're all wearing boots but our bridesmaids dresses do not have to match. So we went a little nuts. I am not the girliest girl by a long shot but everyone was very into finding dresses that would be flattering (i.e. support my big chest without being too flashy). I probably tried on ten dresses at David's myself. We all ended up liking similar styles but not the same dress. It all worked out pretty well. Kayla ran back and forth when one of us liked a dress the other had tried on to get the appropriate size. She was up front with us about some of the dresses we liked not being available in the colors we needed. She found out our estimated wait times for each dress as well. Heck, she even brought me a water when one of my friends asked her. And even though she was very popular (Kayla was paged several times in the hour and a half we were there) I never felt she wasn't giving us the time and attention we needed. I was 80% sure I had found my dress after all our changing, but I didn't want to commit until after I had looked around. However after going to another bridal shop with a smaller selection and higher prices, I went right back to David's Bridal, found Kayla and told her I was all in. She greeted me with a smile and placed my order. The sticker price on the dress I picked was $119 but my total only came to $106 and I got a $20 Shutterfly gift card with my purchase. Good deal. I could not have been more pleased with the time we spent at David's Bridal, our consultant Kayla or my dress purchase. Now I just have to wait until May for the dress itself. I had the BEST experience at David's Bridal! Katy helped me pick a beautiful wedding dress that I never would have selected for myself. It's better than anything I thought I wanted! She was helpful and friendly and everything was low-stress and pressure-free, which a bride-to-be definitely appreciates! My dress came in quicker than the time frame quoted and it's hung up and ready to be worn this January! I spent a lot of time in the store between ordering my dress and picking dresses for the bridesmaids and everyone was beyond helpful. I would highly recommend scheduling an appointment on a weeknight. It is so nice to not be rushed! My sister and I visited recently and we were in a bit of a pickle where we had gained some extra covid weight and due to the wedding being rescheduled over a year later no longer fit into our bridesmaids dresses. I called and talked to someone on the phone who was super helpful and had us bring our dresses in. It was crunch time for ordering a new dress for the wedding in June and they helped us find dresses we loved and felt comfortable in as well as that would be here in time. We went in feeling horrible about ourselves and left feeling so excited to wear our new dresses. They were so nice and helpful and we appreciated so much that they were so flexible with exchanging due to the circumstances. I had a bad experience at their Robinson location where I was rushed and only allowed to try on 3 dresses. David's Bridal's customer service allowed me to make another appointment at this location in Ross Township to have another appointment and possibly exchange my dress. I ended up working with Julie and she was so amazing and knowledgeable. One of the issues from my previous bad appointment (that I did not realize until I was at Ross Township) was I was measured incorrectly. Julie corrected this. What struck me was this location was prepared for my appointment and picked out amazing dresses from my favorites before I got there and discussed the preferences on a dress. We were able to get started trying on dresses faster. We found the perfect dress. I want to thank April B from their corporate for her assistance. read more

I'm a really eccentric quirky person. Total weirdo out of the box sort of bride. I went to Davids Bridal because my MIL and bridesmaids were all in town and it seemed like it'd be fun to do. I didn't have hopes of buying a dress. I know my taste in gowns isn't really normal, but what's the harm in trying out some shapes and seeing how I felt. DB is affordable. The staff was pretty friendly. My consultant (Deborah I think was her name) was super down to earth. She was fun. She got my vibe straight off the bat. I told her, these are the dresses I like, i'd like to try them on. She told me they didn't have 2 of the ones I picked out because only robinson carries Zac Posen dresses (GOOD TO KNOW!). She grabbed the gowns I had pinned/saved to my favorites board. She got me an under garment to wear since mine wasn't really suitable (seriously this was a last minute thing). She let my sister (MOH) help me in and out of my first gown and then she helped me out of all the other ones. The first dress was a miss (my fault not hers). But she was laughing right along with us. We were all cracking jokes and pointing out what we disliked about the dresses and what we liked about others. They asked about a bolero, I said... do you have any shoulder jewelry and the other consultant's eyes got huge and excited and she said OH MY GOD I HAVE JUST THE THING FOR YOU. The whole store was coming over to look after a while because 1) we were loud 2) I was wearing a wild rhinestone collar/bib thing (AND I LOVED IT!).I had a really really really great experience. Yes they were buys. Yes my consultant had to run away a few times to help other brides. Yes it's less personal than most. The thing is... I ended up buying a dress. Of course I'll be having it altered and changed to be nearly unrecognizable as a DB dress. :-D read more

I went last week to try on a bunch of dresses and generally had a great experience. The store was nice, and everyone I interacted with was wonderful. The consultant, Rachel, was really wonderful! It was my first time trying on dresses and she was incredibly helpful and fun! She did a great job of explaining things and pulling a few options I wouldn't have picked myself. If you are going there, ask for her. Really I can't say enough about how awesome she was. But here is the problem. As a plus size woman I went to davids bridal because they constantly talk up their plus size options. And it's true, they carry a lot of dresses, but not all of them in the store. I was really interested in the Melissa sweet line but all of the samples they carried for only went up to a size 14. (Which is really a 12) Several of the dresses I wanted to try on only came in a size too small or two sizes too small. So it was impossible to tell if I would like the dress. I think if you are going to promise customers the chance to purchase plus size dresses and try on plus size dresses you have to follow through with that promise. And not just offer a few options and say "look we are better than everybody else." You are better than most of the bridal stores out there. That doesn't mean you're doing a good job. I still, as a plus size bride, went into the store and had many dresses I couldn't try on it was disheartening and disappointing. There were very few (if any) choices in the higher end designer ranges. Which was really baffling! Fat girls have money and want the expensive dresses too. Why are we relegated to only the mid and lower range dresses? If you are plus size bride and looking for somewhere to try on dresses this is an option, and it is definitely worth a shot. But don't get your hopes up there will still be tons of things you can't try on tons of things not in your size. So I appreciate this store for its wonderful Staff and dresses but I wish they would invest in getting more size options. Especially in the high end designer ranges! read more

I had a fantastic experience shopping at this David's Bridal! I ordered my bridesmaid dress in mid June. I hadn't made an appointment but stopped by after work on a weeknight. I was quickly helped and liked the manager that assisted me. The dress arrived in just a couple weeks! I picked it up last night and once again had good service. I was helped within a couple minutes. I had a concern about how the mesh layer of the dress was laying, but the associate quickly took it back to be looked at and steamed by one of the alterations ladies. Problem solved! I would definitely shop at this David's Bridal again. read more

I was so fortunate to have Alex as my consultant. She went above and beyond. When my bridesmaid and I walked in we had no idea what kind of dress or even color scheme we were looking for. She was super patient with us and let us try over 15 dresses. After working with her we picked our beautiful dresses. I'm so glad Alex was able to help us! read more

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at David's Bridal. I made an appointment for Saturday and arrived on time. I was asked to complete a form which I had already done when scheduling my appointment online and was then asked to wait for my assigned consultant. I was stuck waiting at the front for the consultant for 10 more minutes until I had to ask the woman working the front desk to call for my consultant again. All of this happened while I watched other brides being helped who had arrived after me. Once escorted back to the fitting rooms, my friends were not given anywhere to sit but were told that they may sit on a counter until other chairs opened up. We were placed directly next to another bride who walked back and forth in front of my dressing room to see her family. It immediately became clear that the consultant assisting me was also assigned to the bride next to me. I was given a slip to put on and then had to wait in the fitting room by myself while the consultant said she went to pull dresses. I was stuck waiting for quite a while as I heard the bride next to me announce that she had found her dress. The consultant was clearly assisting her while I was waiting in my underwear alone. Approximately half of the dresses that I wished to try on were not available. Once I was able to put one dress, the consultant disappeared. I was stuck waiting for her to return for another 10 minutes (in a dress I did not like) while she, once again, assisted the other bride. During this time, I witnessed several other consultants walking around talking to each other, not working with a specific bride. I also overheard these consultants describe my consultant as a "hot mess" which turned out to be accurate. Once I finally tried on a second dress, I asked the consultant to get the matching belt featured in the photograph. She walked away only to turn up several minutes later empty handed and I had to ask her for the belt again. She then picked a different belt only then to remember where the matching belt was located. Multiple times, I asked the consultant for a specific dress only to be told that they did not have that dress available in the store or even carry any dresses from a specific designer. One of the dresses that was not available was featured in the window display! I only ended up trying on three dresses and left extremely disappointed. The consultant did not even attempt to try to suggest other dresses in a similar style that I might have considered. She was absent for most of the appointment while I was stuck waiting on her to return. The entire appointment was a large waste of time as much of it was spent waiting. I was extremely disappointed as were my friends who are all of marrying age and will probably not consider shopping at David's Bridal after this experience. read more

I had a great experience at this Davids Bridal. Shay was our consultant and was wonderful to work with. She wasn't pushy and was extremely helpful in helping both my fiancé and I find our dresses.
