Updating to my review, since I came in for my own bridal experience here! I knew I would likely end up buying something online, but wanted to see how different styles looked on me. David's bridal was a perfect spot for this. They are very low maintenance compared to other places, and it is a much smaller ordeal than with other shops. I was able to pick out some dresses, try them on, and ask for assistance as needed. The assistant was pretty hands off, which I appreciated. They answered my questions, and we're not any more pushy than expected. I do wish that there was a wider range of size is carried in store -- the closest to my size was four sizes too big, so it was very difficult to picture what each dress would look like on me. I understand it most stores carry just the standard sizes, but I wish there would've been one size 0 that I could try on, to understand how David's bridal sizing fits my body. This was not an option. Other than that, this was a good experience. I got to see what different neck, lines and sleeves look like on me, and this helped me reinforce my initial idea that I would need to purchase something online. I do have a friend who recently bought a dress here, and loved it! I think David's bridal is a perfect place for lower maintenance brides, who are looking for a budget option. Especially brides who fit the standard sizing. I also think it is more comfortable environment if someone is not looking to make a big show and have a large audience watch them try things on. read more

While trying on dresses and finding a few I liked, I asked what the return policy is. Due to them not carrying every dress in every size, I figured I could purchase it to really gauge the fit on me. I was told that I have 30 days from receiving it to return it and that there would be a restocking fee of $250. That was fine with me. What they failed to tell me, BEFORE TAKING MY MONEY, was that a dress over $1,499 is not eligible for refunds, only exchanges. This is deception. This should have been stated upfront when I asked and if not, then the cashier should have told me. read more

After going back in to try on my dress again, everything that had been messed up was fixed. The customer service at David's Bridal was amazing! The alterations manager was very apologetic and incredibly helpful, and the store manager, Jade, was so kind and understanding about the situation. I have a long history with David's Bridal, as I looked here almost a decade ago and bought, a wedding dress here. Now, I didn't wear the dress, but I wish I did (pro tip don't show people you dress ahead of time) I still have it, and did enjoy my shopping experience. Fast forward to 2024, I needed a black bridesmaid dress, and unfortunately not a lot in store, and I wanted to be able to try them on, and didn't find anything as affordable as places online, which have good return policies. They are a little higher priced than some online stores, but they do have good stylists. The stores a little dated, and the parking is tight, but it is one of the only bridal stores in Omaha. read more

Let me start by saying that Jo is phenomenal! Just looking at me, she got the budget, size, etc. She even helped me get into each dress and everything. She asked great questions about each and knew exactly where to go next with a different dress. Just amazing! And she was just so sweet too! I ultimately chose one dress, but couldn't stop thinking about another. So I came back and tried on just the one I ordered and the one I couldn't stop thinking about. Crazy long appt for just that. The salesperson I was assigned was just all over the place and not particularly helpful. And she swore it'd be in on time and alterations were no problem. I get the confirm email of the order and the estimated arrival date is just days before my wedding! Not at all what we were told! So I called panicked and it took many convos but they made the calls and confirmed it would ship shortly. Whew. Once it arrived (extra early!), I called to reschedule the alterations appt. No luck (but they were so nice!). So here's hoping it'll all work out. The salesperson who sold me the dress did promise it would. In sum, please request Jo for the best possible bridal dress shopping experience! She is the absolute best of the best! And she was fairly new. This is the second review I have written for David's Bridal. I am a bride who recently graduated college. My wedding is at the beginning of August. I first came to David's Bridal over my winter break from college and was helped by Anna. Anna was amazing. She listened to my family and I and made me feel comfortable in the store. However, I did not find any dresses that first time around that I was in love with. I liked the price points at David's Bridal so I continued to look at their online selections when I had a freetime from my medical classes. After some browsing on the websites while I was finishing my classes at college, I found a dress that I really wanted to try on in store. The only time I would be back in the Omaha area was after my college graduation. The day after I moved back home, I went to David's Bridal with my family again. This was where the experience completely disheartened me. It was at the start of May when I returned and I knew which dress I wanted to try on. I had called and made an appointment specifically requesting this dress to try on. When I arrived, I was helped by Barb. Everything Anna was, Barb was the completely opposite. She told me that because I procrasintated shopping for a wedding dress (because I am a student working to obtain a medical degree and could not shop in store when I was at my college (that was located out of state)) that I did not have a right to be picky and find the "perfect" dress for my wedding in August. I asked for the dress I had found online and she pulled it off for me to try on and she then told me and my family that I needed to pick out 3 other dresses to try on because I was "running out of time" and "would have to settle for whatever was available." When I tried on the 3 other styles that I did not enjoy, I stated why I did not like them and Barb defended them. She reiterated that it was my fault that I was not allowed to be picky. I loved the dress that I found online, it was perfect. When I tried it on in store, I really did love it. But I did not love my experience with Barb. She made me feel like I had no business going wedding shopping. Like I was an inconveience. My family even felt this way. My mother and sister-in-law felt as though they couldn't critique how the dresses looked on me, for fear of Barb's opinions. In all my wedding shopping experience, I have never been made to feel so small and little and so disheartened about my wedding as Barb made me feel. All in all, if you are placed with a person like Anna, your service at David's Bridal will most likely be 5-stars. Anna was incredibly sweet. She never made me feel guilty. She never told me I had no right to be picky. Even after I left without a dress, she wished me good luck. But be careful. Read the reviews. Read who is a good person to be placed with and schedule your appointment time based on who your attendant will be. If you aren't careful, you may get a Barb and you may find yourself crying in the car on the way home having your mother console you that you will still be a beautiful bride and it isn't your fault you had 18-credits worth of classes this last semester. read more

David's Bridal online service is an absolute JOKE. I ordered a dress... as soon as I got the confirmation, I realized it was the wrong size (it was less than one minute after I ordered). I tried to change my size. There was no way to do it other than cancel my order and re-order. It took me over 30 minutes to get to a customer service rep. They cancelled my order for me and informed me I had already been charged for the dress, but a refund could take up to 5 business days. A few weeks later, the same dress was on a huge sale, in my size. I ordered it, got confirmation and was charged for it. I got an order number and confirmation, but have not received any updates. When I try to track my order with the order number, it says my order doesn't exist. I have no new emails from them and when I try to get ahold of customer service, I am placed on hold forever. I have been in the chat on hold, on the phone on hold, and via text on hold for half an hour now. I used to work as a seasonal employee for David's Bridal as an employee- they don't pay worth s**t. I could understand why some of my customers would get upset about the DB's policy or the way things were done, but as a customer, I can tell you, I will never give them business again. read more

Karlie F., our consultant, was sweet and helpful. After visiting 7 stores and trying on an upward of 75+ dresses I was starting to give up hope finding "the one." Karlie ended up picking the dress I went with and was eagerly excited to share in my enthusiasm of finding "the one." The manager was also very kind and knowledgeable. Kay was amazing and FUN on our shopping day. It started out sort of stale and I thought my daughter was overwhelmed based on 2 other stores within 24 hours. At the last minute I picked out a sleeve that was different than all the others she had tried on and Kay agreed to randomly put it in the line up. After calling in confirmation bridal party support she put that one on for the third time and she said yes. Kay was helpful in a way that is hard to describe other than over the top patient, honest, resourceful in calling in alterations and finding the accessories. We trusted her, she had a healthy ego to say she was top sales person, but she was not pushy or proud. Just really honest. I hope she continues to excel in her career! read more

David's Bridal is terrible, at least the Omaha, NE location is.. DO NOT shop there. My first experience was when I shopped for my dress (as I am the bride). I made an appointment, but my girl was helping 3 other women find their dresses too. We came back a week later to have my mom's dress altered, we even came early and were told they had 2 appointments scheduled at the same time and cancelled ours. Then they tried to pull, "ohh your appointment is not even until next week." For as fun of time as this should be, David's bridal makes it impossible. The girls at the omaha location all sit around and gossip at the front and our experience has been terribly frustrating. ALSO I ordered my dress through the store, DO NOT DO THIS. If you find a dress you like DO NOT ORDER it there, they will not allow you to track your dress. Even if you have an order number you will not be able to track it online on their website. Only the store where you bought the dress can supposedly track it, corporate won't give out information about it. Something is sketchy. Then once the dress arrives they are allotted time to inspect the dress. After an hour going back and forth with someone from corporate over messaging, we still did not get anywhere. She said she would send an email to the Omaha store to have the contact me with updates on my dress. I tried calling the Omaha store and literally no one answers, even when online it says they are not busy. As we sit right now, I'm unsure my dress will be here on time to get altered. DO NOT GO HERE. I have had the displeasure of buying several dresses from this location. My first issue was when I walked in and absolutely no one greeted me or asked if I needed help. I had to let my self into a dressing room while some employees gossiped at the front table. I found a dress that was dirty and asked if they had another one available. They took it to the back and brought me back a wet dress that they had "cleaned" My second experience here I needed to order a dress because they did not have my size. I asked the older gal at the register if she could assist me and she acted so annoyed. I ended up telling her that I didn't want to inconvenience her and I left and ordered it myself. The third experience was the very last straw. I went in a found a dress (again with no help) and tried it on. It fit perfectly and I took it to the register to purchase. The gal at the counter Camryn said it was a sample dress and that it was not for sale. The earliest I could order it would be November. I asked if there was any way I could buy that one as I needed a dress ASAP. She had a manager come over named Hannah who in my opinion looked incredibly unprofessional. Her hair had about 10 different colors in it all faded. There was a shaved patch on her head and he outfit is not one that I would consider professional. She had an attitude and again told me it was a sample dress. They then helped me order a dress and I gave them the wedding date several times. After I paid for it $180 they had selected the wrong date and told me that it would arrive after the date. I ended up calling the Lincoln store and they had a dress for me. I drove out there and told them the story and about the "sample dress" the store manager there informed me that there is no such thing. All bridesmaid dresses are available for sale. She apologized and gave me the best help. I bought the exact dress from the Lincoln location that Omaha told me was a "sample" I called David's Bridal customer service and they also confirmed that they do not have "sample" bridesmaid dresses and this dress should have been sold to me. If you are selecting David's Bridal please drive to the Lincoln location! They were very amazing and helpful. I will be leaving a bad review for the Omaha location every where that I can. read more

I came here with my mother-in-law looking for a wedding dress and we were really pleased by the selection and the great service we received. We were promptly greeted upon arriving and the woman who helped us that day quickly got us a room and let us search through the dresses. After selecting a few she was wonderful helping me get in and out of them, and bringing accessories for my mother-in-law to look at. The store itself does not have the large rooms with the standing pedestals and mirrors which I found I actually missed as I liked being able to watch how the dresses moved at different angles. There also wasn't much natural lighting in the back where you try the dresses on and this made it difficult to gauge colors. While I didn't find the dress here, there were many many beautiful dresses at great prices. The service we received was excellent and overall we had a very pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend this shop. read more

After reading all of the poor reviews, I was nervous to go in. I had no choice, though, since this is the vendor my friend picked. I went in and was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by two of the staff members working the floor. I was immediately taken care of by Becky. She got my information, brought me my dresses, and was always nearby to help zip my dress when I came out of the dressing room. She was tactful in suggesting a bigger size, though her co-worker was a bit more blunt. I wasn't bothered by it, but did think to myself that someone who is more body-conscious would have felt badly about that. In all, my visit was great. Becky was great. I went at 8pm and had the store to myself. This may have contributed to my good experience, so I suggest that other people do the same. read more

Libby made the trip worthwhile! A friend is getting married and we went to help pick out a dress. I can honestly say I have never done this before. I never went to prom, I never wore a wedding dress when I got married. This whole event was totally foreign to me. Angie and arrived a little late and Lori had already tried on a few dresses but had narrowed it down. We helped her pick out the winner and Libby offered a selection of choices for accessories and dress preservation. After Lori was finished, I leaned over to Libby and asked if she had time to let me try a dress on. I'm not getting married.. let me repeat that, I am not getting married and I did make that very clear but Libby smiled and said it was slow and she would be happy to let me. I tried on three dressed and sent the photos to Not Boyfriend. He loved them. I loved the dressed. Not a reason to get married but it was fun for the moment to play pretend. The ladies there were kind and generous with their time. They made you feel special even if they knew you weren't going to get married in the near future. Libby knew her business and it showed. She took measurements and asked me some questions before pulling a dress for me to try on. Then asked me more questions about what I liked and didn't like about that dress. She was able to narrow it down to the ONE. if I was going to get married, I would have bought this dress. (I did get the model number, ya know, just in case). Go and ask for Libby. We came in today for my sisters wedding dress adjustments, my first complaint is that it took an hour and a half, the next is that it costed $500! For a hem, shortening of the straps, and making the bodice smaller. The customer service too was not it, especially for the price tag. The woman fitting her dress would disappear everytime my sister went into the dressing room, which was a total of 3 times we would have to search for her. My sister left very frustrated too, I would recommend almost any other place. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. (1/27/24). My sister found her dream dress that fit her perfectly today. She told the sales rep her price and the dress she found was under budget plus being told she would be receiving 30% off. The problem started when LINDA(we didn't receive a last name for some reason after asking for her card with her name on it MULTIPLE TIMES) a manager there was ordering the wrong dress (She had 3 DIFFERENT dresses pulled up, one on a piece of paper, one on her computer, and one on my moms phone). Of course my sister was upset thinking that she could have received a totally different dress then what her heart was set on. LINDA proceeded to tell us there would be NO 30% off and the dress is $500 over budget and there's not anything she could do about it. Not only did she tells us that dreadful news, she then proceeds to say that the dress was not available to order in my sisters size and would have to pay even more for alterations. She began telling us the floor dress is for sale ( the dress had tears in it, the bottom of the dress was a totally different color than the top half and the fact that countless people have tried it on). That was not something my sister wanted and had made the very clean with the sales rep. LINDA then beings to tell us that they do have my sisters size in " Pettit" but comments saying "she's not going to fit in that". All in all LINDA THE MANAGER WHOS BEEN IN THIS BUSINESS FOR "35+ YEARS" had the worst attitude and customer service ever(no remorse for what happened at her store, continuously interrupting people and even had the nerve to shush a very concerned bridesmaid). Then wants to say how the situation was very stressful to her and how even though she was a MANAGER there was nothing she could do about it. HOW DO YOU THINK MY SISTER FELT IN THIS SITUATION?? A day that was supposed to be so happy and so special turned into a total disaster. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE PLACE WITH WORKERS WHO HAVE 0 SYMPATHY FOR A PROBLEM THEY TOTALLY COULD HAVE AVOIDED. I will never recommend this bridal store to ANYONE. I so wish this whole interaction was recorded. I've always heard mixed reviews about David's Bridal -- negative ones about customer services, but always positive ones about the dresses. I got a bridesmaid dress from here a few years ago, but had never received a phone call to pick it up. I was super busy with helping my friend with her wedding, that having to call was a slight inconvenience. So, coming here for my wedding dress, I was a little anxious due to my own experience and the mixed reviews. But, having had friends who bought their wedding dresses here and being happy with their purchase, I thought I would give it a shot. First off, I had been to a couple "high-end" stores and wasn't really into what I saw nor did I enjoy the experience. I thought how could DB have something that would appease to me? Let's just say I was totally wrong! When I got to the store, I was quickly greeted and my consultant was ready for me right away. My consultant took the time to get to know me and the wedding and I did not feel rushed at all. I like to take my time on making decisions, so her patience was greatly appreciated. She gave me my space to shop around, but still close enough to help when needed. She made the whole experience exactly how I would have liked it to go! She gave me the reigns without being super pushy or overbearing. When I was deciding if I had found "the one", she gave me the time alone with my sister to really determine how I felt. That day I found my dress and am truly happy with my decision! Beyond the madhouse called DB, I am truly happy with my experience. Although it was super busy and a little crammed, I am extremely pleased with my purchase. My consultant was AMAZING and meshed well with my personality. So...my daughter had an appointment at 3:00 on Sunday, at David's Bridal off of Dodge Street, in Omaha. We got their early, to look around. A girl finally comes up and says that she will be helping 2 appointments at the same time! WAIT WHAT!?!? To make a long story short, we gotta tired of waiting for the other client and her 5 family members, needing all of the attendants help. Had to wait 10-15 minutes after requesting the next dress that was already pulled. I started getting them for my daughter, so we wouldn't have to wait!!! So glad my daughter is not a bridezilla!!!! Gotta say we were both EXTREMELY disappointed with the whole experience!!!! Didn't even get the bell rang after she picked a dress! Shame on David's Bridal for having 2 appointments scheduled at the same time!!!!! Brides should feel SPECIAL, and I know my daughter felt anything but!!!!! read more

UNBELIEVEABLE: I finally processed a return for an order. I just paid $30 to ship back a return to Davids Bridal for a purchase my wife made. We both agreed that in this day and age, any business that charges for a return is not a company we want to do business with at all. There are several major issues you have as a business with your return policy: 1. The 14 day policy is a bit short, but I can deal with it 2. The fact that absolutely "no online orders can be returned live to in-store" (this is what I was told by the Omaha Davids Bridal location) 3. The RMA Link on the order status page is almost purposely hidden to make the return more difficult. Even following the directions for the return doesnt actually tell you where the RMA link is on the page- it should clarify the section/area of the page 4. Having to pay to return something online is basically like charging a customer to try something on in-store. Not worth doing business with you at all. read more

What a FUN environment! I was with a friend in the Omaha, NE location & the entire vibe was FUN. Nothing felt forced or disingenuous, which is something expected in a high sales environment. This was a VERY different vibe than previous visits to David's (new management?) as well as other boutiques. I've always had mixed feelings about David's Bridal, but today pushed me over the edge. If it was possible to give 0 stars that's what this location would earn. I had the worst customer service I have ever encountered at this location. I needed to pick out my bridesmaid dress for my best friends wedding and I wanted to look at a variety of styles. Upon my arrival, not a single associate greeted me asking if I needed any help. Most of the associates were on their cell phones, so I guess that was more important than helping a customer. When one of the associates finally decided to get to work I was asked if I needed help. I told them what I was looking for and I was rudely told to just go look on a rack and pull styles. I was pretty clear with what I was looking for but I guess that was asking for too much. I finally pulled some dresses and had to again track down an associate. They didn't have the best selection of sizes, but the associate told me that she would grab clips to help with the fit. Once the sales associate helped me to the dressing room that was the last I saw of anyone that worked there. The sales associate never came back to see how I was doing or even check on the fit. I ended up walking out and no surprise the associates were all on their phones and did not even notice I walked out. I will be ordering my dress from online or if I can convince the bride to look elsewhere for our bridesmaids dresses I will recommend that. I will never recommend this David's bridal location to anyone. Take your business elsewhere! read more

Met with a consultant this afternoon for bridesmaid dress shopping with my best friend (who's wedding I am going to be in). Walking in we weren't greeted right away it took about a minuet and half until we were finally aknowledged by the staff. When meeting the "consultant", who was to be helping us, didn't introduce herself, ask my name or the brides, or ask anything about the wedding. I guess the only thing she asked was what color the bride wanted the dresses. We had to pick the dresses out ourselves with no helpful tips or asking what sizes we needed... even though I went online and saved dresses that they said they could print out in an email. She did grab the dresses and take them to the room but other than that didn't check on us at any time during my "appointment", didn't ask if I needed a different size (which I did and had to go get myself twice) or anything. I'm not the type of shopper to be inclined to buy something when you don't help me out at all. That and I just walked out of the dressing room and no one said anything to me as I was leaving the store. I'll be back at a later date as I have to buy my dress from there for the wedding. But overall I was really unimpressed as they were not busy at all. I felt as though I was "just" buying a bridesmaid dress they could care less about my money, which is unfortunate as I am going to be paying 150 plus alterations for this dress there. read more

My daughter and I went in to look at prom dresses and were so lucky to get the stylist named Catrice!! She was so fun to work with! She was positive, upbeat, and portrayed a vision to see beauty in everyone that walks in the door. She was a NATURAL at picking out accessories that added another level to what we were already purchasing. She told us about the promos, and suggested items to us that were perfect!! When we went Prom dress shopping everyone was very pleasant. We needed alterations and she was pleasant. Had fun. Today I called to see if I could go a day early to pick up my daughters dress, I was having problems communicating what i needed, so asked to speak to someone else, she said ok, then she said something else and starting asking me some questions, i couldn't answer one and she kept asking the same one, over and over, so I again asked to talk to someone else. Someone else came to phone, so I was trying to explain what was happening, and she cut me off and very rudely said, Well You Can Understand Me Now, so....... I said I am not sure why you are being rude to me, I just wanted to check and see if I could come on Saturday, instead of Sunday, weather permitting. She didn't apologize or anything! I almost called to cancel my payment on dress, but my daughter loves the dress. I hope when we go pick it up we are treated better. She said no the dress wont be ready so i need to come on Sunday. Appointments are made for a reason.. I did call back and the manager listened to what i needed and told me I am welcome to come on Saturday and the dress will be ready. Thanks for resolving this. Manager on 1-17-19 at 130 pm. From reading all the reviews, this type of customer service is normal. We will not be going back after this. We will pick up dress and never look back.. This location continues to exceed my expectations. I flew in from Dallas to get my dress altered and I am so happy with my decision. Mika is the alterations manager and is a gem of a human being. I immediately knew I was in good hands and felt comfortable the entire time. She's a perfectionist and went above and beyond to make sure I looked my best. Due to Covid, I had to order my bridesmaid dress online & was not measured prior. There was around a 3 month wait to receive my dress by mail and when it did arrive, it was too small by several sizes. Of course, I panicked as the wedding was only 2 weeks away at that point. I took my dress into David's Bridal in Omaha by Westroads Mall & immediately several employees were eager to help me. Within one hour I was able to find a new dress that fit & the color worked with the rest of the bridal party. With only one week from the wedding at this point, now my dress needed to be fitted. A rush was placed on my order (I did have to pay extra for the rush) and 1 week later I went to try on & pick up my dress. It fit my body amazingly & looked fantastic. The seamstress really fit it perfectly around my waist so you could see my figure. One complaint I do have is that she spent most of her time fitting working on the hem & when I received the dress it was still a bit long. You have to pay extra for each place that is altered so that kind of seemed like a waste of my money. With that said, Every employee I came in contact with gave the highest amount of customer service & truly did all they could to help me. They succeeded!! Highly recommend this location! read more

I came in this morning to browse wedding dresses and find out my dress size. I was definitely open to buying a dress if I found one I liked. However, as soon as I walked in the lady at the front had asked "Are you a guest or a bridesmaid?". I am the bride. She pointed to dresses on the rack and told me to go look. I went in alone, as my mother is gravely ill. I was the only customer in the entire store. I looked through the racks, not one associate was around to help me at all. There were dirt/makeup stains on a lot of the dresses. I felt very disrespected from the moment I walked in. The associates were all standing at the desk talking/on their phones when I left. This was a horrible experience. With service like this I don't know how they are still in business. I will take my dress shopping elsewhere, as well as let everyone know not to shop here. read more

I arrived just in time for my scheduled appointment and my party and I were greeted warmly at the door. Ashton was the employee helping us and she was incredibly patient and my sister and best friend picked out thousands of dresses for me to try on....... Ashton is obviously experienced with this situations like this and only brought us a couple of gowns at a time. I was lucky to have my sis and bff with to get get in and out of the dresses, but every time we needed something it seemed like Ashton had already known and was waiting there with it! Prepping for a wedding is a stressful time for most, finding the perfect dress is even worse. Ask for Ashton, she will help make sure your experience is perfect! read more

My daughter was shopping for a homecoming dress and we scheduled an appt at David's. We arrived 15 min early for the appt, so that she would have time to look around. 10 minutes past our appt time, the 3 girls standing at the reception desk were looking at us, but not offering any assistance. A manager walked by and asked if we had been helped, and I mentioned that our appt time had been 10 minutes prior, and we were still waiting to be helped. A few minutes later, one of the 3 receptionists hurriedly took us to a fitting room and that was the last bit of assistance we received. Nobody assisted us at all. I mentioned this to the salesgirl checking us out when we made our purchase...she very obviously did not care. Last time we will ever visit David's Bridal in Omaha. read more

They wrote down the wrong date for my wedding, they were corrected twice and still it was not fixed. When my bridesmaid went to pick her dress up, they said they didn't have it and couldn't find it. After a panic attack from thinking these people somehow lost my bridesmaid's dress, apparently it was found in their "abandoned merchandise" section of their stockroom or store. I am very displeased with David's Bridal's inability to listen to the customer when taking down information vital to the event. read more
