Around this time last year (November 2024) I was shopping for my forever dress for my wedding jn August 2025. The selection at the boutique was great, but ultimately I ended up finding my dress elsewhere. I came back to leave a review and say this boutique genuinely was fantastic. Ive been reflecting a lot on this past year and have felt so much love through the ups and downs. About a week before my dress appointment my grandmother passed away. They were kind enough to gift me a vase, card, and flowers. I was truly touched and am so grateful to have been surrounded by supportive women that day. Not only did my stylist accommodate the large number of guests, but my stylist was SO kind and knowledgeable. Such a sweet gesture that I will remember forever! Ready or Knot is a very down to earth, beautiful bridal shop that offers really intentional, kind, helpful service and DEALS for wedding dresses. They have incredible inventory at shockingly low prices without the dress quality looking outdated or bleak. My sister got her dress here and I am sad I didn't get mine here! She also became friends with the gal who was helping her which goes to show how friendly and likable the employees are. Ready or Knot is a local bridal boutique in Rockbrook Village specializing in wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and wedding accessories. It's polished and upscale looking on the inside, full of natural light and decor to make it airly, whimsical and romantic. It doesn't hurt that the racks of dresses make for a very beautiful backdrop. Making an appointment here was easy, through email or phone. They were very quick to reply to my emails, with it being within a day to schedule an appointment, and a max of 2 days for a more in depth question I had. I appreciated the email "interview" Jocelyn conducted before my appointment, and they already knew my tastes and preferences before I stepped in the door. The hour long appointment with Monica was great, and she was very good at clipping the sample dresses to fit my petite frame, and had already pre-chosen 6 dresses for me to try based on the information I had given beforehand. In the end, this was the shop I ended up purchasing my dress through, and I am thrilled. I thought the process was really easy with no fuss, and they had exactly what I was looking for. They don't off same day purchase discounts like other shops I visited with, and weren't able to negotiate with pricing for my brand, which was slightly disappointing. The dresses here certainly have a certain style and vibe, and I noticed that almost all the bridal shops in Omaha have their own curation of designers which gives them all a unique feel. Style wise, I feel like Ready or Knot is very close to Rhylan Lang in style. Price point, they run $1200 and up for most gowns. Occasionally they will have sample sales and announce on their social media. I like that my dress cannot be found elsewhere in Omaha, making it a unique purchase. Making an appointment is very easy and they're willing to work with your schedule which is wonderful. My sister bought a wedding dress from this store and she found success so I decided to try it out as well. I think depending on the time of the year you go, they have you take your shoes off, but I'm not sure. I went looking in September and the people who came with me weren't instructed to. Monica was attentive and so patient with me, super consultant! I chose not only a wedding gown from this store, but bridesmaid gowns as well. Now for the not so great stuff- one bridesmaid of mine mentioned that at her fitting, the owner, Jocelyn, made kind of a rude comment about her rib cage being large? And that she was surprised my bridesmaid fit into a certain size dress... not professional at all. I told my sister about this and she said the owner probably didn't mean for it to sound mean. Then when I came in to pick up my wedding dress and try it on again, Jocelyn made a comment about my back being wide and that some designers just don't think about how wide Midwesterner are. I'm pretty insecure about my shoulders and back and it was a thought that crossed my mind the first time I had arrived at the store and tried it on. I even asked my friends and family that I brought with me to my appointment. I guess things slip out, but when you're a business owner and a professional- you can't just say whatever comes to mind. Especially when your business is all about dressing people for a huge life changing event. All in all, lots to select from and Monica is amazing! I went to 5 stores total to try on wedding dresses (3 in Scottsdale, where I live and 2 in Omaha where I am from) and Ready or Knot was by far my best experience. I called ahead to speak with the stylist about some dresses I liked and although they didn't have some of them, she had pulled some perfect dresses for me to try on before I even arrived. She completely understood my style and was very helpful when talking about alterations we could make to dresses to make them exactly how I wanted them. Also, both ladies took their time with me when taking measurements and didn't rush me out, like other stores did. I would highly recommend coming here. Also, I wish I remembered the stylist name that I worked with, but she was tall, thin and brunette and I thought she was wonderful. read more

I was very disappointed with the service I received today. The woman who was supposed to be my stylist was not only short with me, but very inattentive. She would give me dresses, without letting me look around the store myself. She acted annoyed when I didn't like the dresses SHE chose for me. Not only that but when I tried on the dresses she would leave the area, she didn't stick around to hear my thought about the dress and made me recap what I had already said to my friends and family there. I was 100% dissatisfied with my experience here. I had a few of my family members with me and we were all turned off by the customer service. We were not allowed to look around for dresses ourselves which was a big disappointment! She asked for my Pinterest pictures but then wouldn't let us look around at all on our own or expand outside of those styles. The employee who helped us didn't offer much help, she had a bad attitude, and she didn't seem excited to work with a bride who WAS willing to purchase, she seemed annoyed that we were there. The store itself was freezing cold and the couches we had to sit on had a terrible musty smell. They made us take our shoes off at the door, so we had to use the restrooms with no shoes, yuck! The whole experience really was terrible. The employee really shouldn't be in the wedding businesses trying to make bride's happy. I would suggest taking a look at how you plan for the appointment. Allow the brides and their family to look around and have fun at their appointment instead of making everyone feel like they couldn't move off of their spot on the couch. Please allow the appointment more time and a more relaxed experience. read more

Poor customer service. I had just come from Bridal Traditions, Ready Or Knot was my 2nd appointment of the day. These two stores were night and day, starting with the customer service down to the quality of dresses I was being given. When I booked the appointment over the phone, based on the style I was describing, the lady told me anything in the store in glitz, glam, or ball gown would cost me anywhere from $2500 and up. I found a dress with all of the above at Bridal Traditions for $1799. When I got to the actual appointment, the consultant didn't let me shop around or look at dresses myself, she pulled the dresses for me, and the dresses she pulled were NOTHING like I described or wanted. They even had me email pictures of things I liked, and they couldn't have even looked at them with the types of dresses I was being given. Why ask me to send the pictures if you're not going to look at them? Waste. Of. Time! Not to mention they have you "modeling" the dresses in a large window area, where everyone on the street walking by was watching... awkward! That sums up the whole experience, awkward and uncomfortable. There was also a Halloween event going on, so there was zero parking, and it took quite a bit of time to get through the congestion of the plaza. I'm sure all the businesses were aware of the trunk-or-treat going on, it would've been nice if they would've called their clients to give them a heads up on the extra traffic, so I could've planned ahead. There were so many people walking around outside, the consultant said she was anxious about her car sitting in the front of the store (Just to give a visual of all the extra people around while I was standing awkwardly in a large window in these dresses I felt uncomfortable in). Over all very poor experience. Do not recommend. Save yourself some time and go to Bridal Traditions! read more

My best friend (the bride) found "the dress" in the same day when we were just there for trial and error, Andrea knew the exact dress my best friend would fall in love with! I do not have enough good things to say about Ready or Knot. Jocelyn was so helpful - not only finding my dream dress but also with little details. They are well connected and have great suggestions for anything from hair/makeup to invitations. She was also able to give me good advice about potential awkward family situations and how to find a work around so it wouldn't become an issue. What I am most thankful for is obviously my beautiful dream dress but also the advice she gave me about having a first look with my dad. After I got engaged October 2019, I made 3 dress shopping appointments in search for my dream dress. I asked my MOH to fly in for only one of the 3 appointments-- the last one. My MOH panicked and worried I'd find "the dress" at one of the first 2 boutiques, but I assured her that my heart knew that my dress was at Ready or Knot-- women, our intuition never leads us astray. When I met my now husband Dan and discovered that I wanted to marry him, I knew I'd want to do so in a Pronovias gown. I saved up for the dress for years so that I could get whatever I wanted no matter the price... & so I found my Pronovias dress at Ready or Knot all thanks to Jocelyn. I came with an idea in mind and she, perceptive as she is with years of experience, knew exactly what to present to me. Jocelyn brought out gown after gown that accentuated all of the best features of my body. I was skeptical that I'd have the "this is it" moment when I found my dress, but when I tried on the Pronovias Aegir gown-- a dress with a mermaid cut, sweetheart neck line, and combination of Chantilly and French Alencon dress-- I was awe struck. I didn't full on cry, but I felt beautiful, like an angel. From that moment onward, every time I put on that dress, I found no fault in me. Jocelyn made that happen for me and I am forever grateful for her-- her advices, her kindness, her support, and for making me feel like the prettiest bride. She is so personable and knowledgeable-- I want more of my friends to get married in Omaha so that I can take them to Ready or Knot to find their perfect dress! Unfortunately Ready or Knot was my first bridal store experience. My sister and I felt disrespected, and uncomfortable at times around what we found out later to be the owner of the store (blonde woman). I read another review, and noticed another person had the same negative experience with this individual. One positive note, Monica was pleasantly helpful with our appt., she was the only reason we didn't walk out. My advice, go to the store in Regency Court. I currently live out of state so I wasn't sure what Ready or Knot would be like, but I was so impressed. I've been to another bridal store and the styles, fits, and fabrics were nowhere near comparable to the selection here. After telling the store associate a bit about my likes and dislikes she pulled 10-12 gowns for me to try on--all nearly perfect. We were the only people in the salon, so it kind of felt like a personal shopper experience. The associate (I wish I could remember her name!) was not ever pushy, which was a very frustrating part of my previous dress shopping experience, and asked questions about how I felt in the dress that helped to narrow down the selection. If I could give this place zero stars I would. This was my worst customer service experience of my life! The lady who helped us was extremely rude and not helpful. She acted like we were wasting her time. She only let my cousin try on a few dresses, and when we requested to see other dresses we were told no. She did not provide any helpful insight such as, the dress can be styled these ways, you can add mesh here, etc. I don't think she smiled once. My cousin did like a dress from their store, but the customer service was so bad that she refused to purchase from them. We took a picture of the dress to another store and were able to get a beautiful, similar dress from the other store. I can't put into words how wonderful Jocelyn and the Ready or Knot team were! They go above and beyond to make sure you have the best experience possible. They genuinely care for each bride that walks in their door and this shows in every step of the process. I was told about the place from an acquaintance. Being new to Omaha, I was happy to have any recommendations. I had tried on dresses in Regency, which was lovely, but nothing really grabbed me. I was looking for something pretty specific in color. Monica helped me at my appointment. While they did not have the blue dress i longed for, she hit the nail on the head with the first dress she pulled. The only reason i didn't buy it was I was waiting until my Best Friend was in town. The bitchy blonde working tonight really struck a nerve. I am very compelled to write a review about how snobby and rude this place is. I am newly engaged and walked in to tour. I didn't really have an idea of what I wanted. Further into the conversation she asks if I have a venue and date. I give her a rough estimate and she proceeds to tell me I really shouldn't be looking for a dress until I have a date and venue picked out. I further explain myself and say I am looking at the Joslyn fountain room and she proceeds to tell me that I should know that's $5000+, like I can't afford that or something. As I am highly dissatisfied with their selection, I look to their bridesmaids dresses because I have my friend with me. She then continues to tell me I shouldn't pick an embellished bridesmaids gown because that can overpower my own. I will do whatever I please with MY wedding.
