We had the worst experience unfortunately trying to find the perfect dress for my sister's wedding day. The woman who was our stylist was very unattentive the whole time. She did not help find dresses making the experience magical, we ended up having to find our dresses even though my sister had two dresses she wanted to try on- that being the reason she had wanted to go there. We couldn't find her for attendance and she was all over the place when we spoke with her about our frustration. We will not suggest this place to anyone. I went wedding dress shopping with my best friend ,and my expectations as the maid of honor were blown out of the water . Aside from the store being neat and beautiful, the service was absolutely amazing. The wedding dresses were intricate & GORGEOUS but shockingly very well priced . Makuba,-the amazing woman that was helping the bride to be,was one of the most personable hardworking people I have met . She was understanding and so helpful . Dress shopping can be very very stressful and she went above and beyond to make our experience stress free and FUN!! I cannot recommend this place enough. 10/10 for me. read more

I bought my wedding dress from here, and it really was absolutely stunning. However, I took it for two rounds of alterations here, and it was horrendous. They sewed cups in and they were sticking out the top, the bustle was not right (and the people working when I went to try it back on didn't know how to even do the bustle), and I shared that the straps on the top were too tight and if they could loosen them. The tailor tied a piece of kitchen string across the back to make it looser. It was awful. I took it to another tailor and they fixed the whole thing, including my hem, cups, the top straps, and redid the bustle. Do not use the alterations department here, it was a terrible job and way overpriced. read more

I had a 4:00 PM alterations appointment yesterday and arrived 15-20 minutes early, only to be told at 4:00 that they were running behind and I'd need to wait another 25-30 minutes. After waiting the full 30 minutes, I was then told my appointment would be canceled because one of the seamstresses had already gone home--20 minutes earlier, while I was already in the store. When I asked about options, I was told the bride currently in the alterations room would take another hour if I wanted to wait--but I saw that bride walking around the store in her dress looking at accessories, clearly not even in the fitting room anymore. The assistant store manager said she could "put a pin quickly in the dress" but couldn't leave the front desk for more than five minutes. That's not how a bridal alterations appointment should be handled, especially when time-sensitive fittings are involved. To make matters worse, because the store is moving locations, the next available appointment wasn't for another two weeks--which would put the pickup just one week before my event weekend. That's cutting it way too close for comfort. The entire experience was unprofessional, chaotic, and deeply disappointing. What should have been an exciting part of the bridal process turned into a stressful mess. read more

Because of Alicia, I have found my perfect dress (not pictured in any of these photos). Her brain is like an inventory encyclopedia. She went above and beyond for me and provided me with a memorable experience, ensuring I felt understood in how I wanted to look and feel at my wedding. Horrible experience. Firstly the place was a zoo. No organization, no one directing where to go or what to do. No one even explained the dress sizing. Our stylist Kaelin had ZERO customer service skills and barely spoke to us. She was so unhelpful and unsupportive I have no idea how she even got a job here. Her and her coworkers were outwardly talking crap about a customer they worked with earlier in the day. The place smelled like a zoo and the dresses were almost all visibly soiled. The employees had no training and it was horrendous. We had a scheduled appointment which seemed to be an inconvenience to the workers. It was a mess in there, pure chaos. I was looking for a dress when one of the workers seemed annoyed that I was looking. Also, as a side note, it's extremely unprofessional to talk about your staff in front of people. One of the only people who even talked to us was the one being mocked and made fun of. The boss was talking about how the girl wanted to get out of work, at her scheduled time, and made it known she was annoyed by it. Then, she had the audacity to call the girl out because she's taking time off for a road trip that she said she spoke to the manager about in February. She said "well I didn't think you were serious so that's a leave of absence and you need to figure it out." If you check my track record, I LOVE leaving 5 star reviews. I was convinced these people had us on a hidden camera show, because, WHAT?! This place is a "chop shop" that prefers to pump people in and out, rather than create a beautiful experience and memory. BRIDES BE AWARE - you don't get a "do over" moment! If you're feeling risky, go for it... but if you'd like to be 1000% sure you will receive the results and treatment you deserve, STAY AWAY. I had an alterations appointment scheduled here with my mother and sister. Upon arrival and after an hour plus drive, they only had time for 2 of us. (WE ALL HAD APPOINTMENTS.) I gave up my appointment to my mother. The sales associate Amanda (she wears different wigs all the time - that one) attempted to reschedule me & I refused. There was zero apology/customer care for the inconvenience, just a very stern "it's not gonna happen, so what would you like to do" vibe. Yes, even with our email confirmations. My sister? This was genuinely the ONLY instance throughout her wedding prep where she shed MULTIPLE tears. She purchased the dress of her dreams from here. Picking out and purchasing her dress was probably the only good experience.. Flash forward to her FIRST alteration (because yes, she had FIVE). Her dress was covered in yellow highlighter stains. This was supposed to be a brand new ordered dress and instead they ordered it as a display dress from another store. Amanda, the woman who was going to get her fitted - PHEW... the most unpleasant person I've come across in a long time. Non reassuring, rude, racist & honestly should find a new job where she is NOT working with people. After telling her that she may need to find a new dress entirely (because this one is discontinued) she tried to make her feel better by saying "we have a Spanish miracle worker" multiple times. The "Spanish miracle worker" has a WHOLE name and it should be used in the future. After requesting management, we were hit with " she should know her audience". Thats the issue.. we are white, she THOUGHT she did. We left. Beth, the manager never followed up with a cleaning update as promised. Beth just tells you what she thinks you want to hear. Luckily, they did get the stains out. Now alterations really begin... it should've been simple. Hem the length, and remove from fabric from the chest area so it didn't look like pointy cones. This issue resulted in needing 4 more appointments. Each seamstress promised it'd be fine. It was never fine. We did have the pleasure of working with one amazing seamstress (Viola), who confirmed many of our thoughts through general conversation -- the work was done terribly, stitched in the wrong areas, the bustle squared out, tons of left over fabric in odd areas.. they left her with a "mashed potato" looking chest and had the nerve to tell her "it looks good". It was meant to be a smooth, fitted dress. Gas lighting much? Viola took pictures of each instance, so she could try her best to rectify it. Well we learned - they hit the "time limit allowed" to work on my sisters dress. What does that even mean?! You guys should be working on a dress until you can provide what you promised. The dress was purchased from YOUR shop. At the very LAST appointment, yet another seamstress (pretty sure she worked with at least 4 different ones) told her that there was nothing left they could do. They treated HER as the inconvenience. She had the option to return & get a refund, 5 days before her wedding. The chest area was "better" but still not fixed. She wore it. Evening of her wedding we had to safety pin about an inch or more worth of fabric, to keep the dress on her chest. Also a hair tie at the bottom to refrain from tripping all night, (yes, after the bustle was in place). I'm mostly angry at the lack of customer service. My sister had a jacked up dress for her most special day and these people couldn't have cared less. We understand human error, but the treatment from this place is unforgivable. From the response they gave me on my initial review, you can see that the business does not even acknowledge that we bought a second dress and returned the first dress. The second dress was not available in the store so we needed to buy it online. If we could have bought it in the store there would have been no issue. But we had to buy dress #1 in case dress #2 wasnt available when we went to buy it online. It's the brides. I was told they closed at 9. Came on a Saturday nigjt, they were closed. (It was like 7 or 8 I believe). Drove all the way in rush hour traffic on Monday morning and took the morning off at work.. to find out they don't open til 1030 . That was last month. THIS MONTH I'm here at 1130 and the doors are locked! I drove 30 minutes to be here and I'm on my lunch hour at work!! Hours listed online say 1030 so what the heck is happening? I got them all altered there as well. 3/5 of my bridesmaids dresses ripped at the seams half way through the wedding night. At my first alteration My dress did not fit. Way too big. They rushed the dress in an hour. It looked HORRIBLE. Still way too big. Had to be pinned in it on my wedding day with safety pins. Alteration cost me $400 and my dress didnt fit. read more

We had lily and my first impression was good at first but then it seemed like she was distracted wanting to go off and talk with other girls working there and as my girls were trying on dresses she was over with another family talking and doing whatever she was doing I asked her to help find dresses and she just stood there. I can't describe how special DIANE at the Nashua, NH location made me feel. She listened to my wants and needs and focused on the style I was looking for. She gave her input and helped with adding details and her own feedback although I had two others with me was very helpful since she is the professional! There were so many ppl there and she made me feel like I was the only one. She shared her own personal stories with us and it made me feel like we had been friends for years! I ended up with my beautiful dress, a couple sizes larger since I have large hips and am small up top for $199! In my price range, and super simple and comfortable. Everything I was looking for. We were also there for upwards of 3 hours and she was attentive and helpful the entire time. I am just blown away with how amazing and personable she made my experience. I ordered a new one from the warehouse since my wedding is not until 6/20/2020. I was told it will be in in about a month. I think it's all about who you are assigned to when you make an appointment. I do not gain any pleasure from writing this review. My experience at this Davids Bridal buying my wedding dress quickly turned into nightmare when I found out what had transpired and I would like to save any other bride the trauma. I had called the location before my visit looking for a particular dress they carried and was told it was no longer sold in stores and I would have to buy it outright and have it shipped in order to even try it on. That did not seem appropriate so I went in looking for another option. Miraculously the dress I was looking for was on the rack as a sample size, an 8. I tried it on and loved it and the sales woman encouraged me to buy the sample size as "they could easily alter it to your size" and "was not in stock elsewhere". Me, having never been dress shopping before listened to the saleswoman and purchased the dress that was 6 sizes too large for me. This was October of 2021. I went home to my home state, Washington, June of 2022 to have my first fitting. I was immediately told it would cost me more than I paid for the dress itself to have it altered to fit me. They conveniently had TWO other sizes in store of the very same "discontinued dress" to try and quickly ordered the appropriate size but neglected to honor the price conversion as the dress was now $500 off. The final straw was now having a dress that was sized appropriately, when alterations were finished, it fit nothing like I was assured it would and was told that being unable to breathe and my back pinched was "the way the dress fits". I am a size two. The dress is unwearable. Had I not been pressured into buying this dress nearly a year ago, I would not now be out the full cost of this dress and alterations and left looking for a different dress 5 weeks from my wedding because corporate refuses to recognize the trauma they've just inflected on a new bride to better serve their commission structure. read more

The stylist I saw, Sam, was truly one of the least competent, least appropriate, and least professional people I've ever met. When we arrived, the greeter explained to us that the dresses on hangers were samples that we could pull if I wanted to try them on, place them on the hook they assigned us, & Sam would pull those dresses from the bags in the correct size. When Sam came over, she was concerning me from the start. She was annoyed that I didn't know what I wanted for a dress (I've never tried on dresses before, I had no idea really and was hoping that she'd be able to help me) & when she asked me where my venue was she said "ugh that sounds expensive", which just seemed judgmental & inappropriate? My family & I pulled dresses & while we were doing so, Sam was all over the place; I couldn't tell if she was suggesting dresses, or pulling sizes, or helping someone else, or just gone all together. When we did see her she was like talking badly about members of my group to each other?? My sister is also engaged & when I was pointing out dresses that would look good on her, Sam would pull me aside and say that she 'wasn't going to let my sister steal my day & my spotlight' & I was like ?? I have no problem with my sister? I have no problem looking at dresses with her if she wants to, no problem if she doesn't? She pulled my sister aside & tried to say similar things to her too! Me & my sister were so confused. It really wasn't that deep, but she was like trying to amp up a cat fight between us. When we finally went over to try on dresses, the pile that we had been gathering was abandoned. Sam seemed to maybe mistakenly grab a different pile (or maybe she didn't care, it was hard to tell, because she didn't like anything I chose) & the dresses that were at the fitting room for me to try on were ones I hadn't seen before. When I pointed this out to Sam she just said "yes they are, you picked that". I couldn't find ones that I know I had picked either. Additionally, nothing had been pulled in my size or even a size close. They ranged from sizes 4-22. I just gave up arguing and decided to try & put something on from what was here but I couldn't get into the dressing room to try because she was busy asking my sister (an esthetician) if she could get her free treatments & was showing her her skin issues. My sister just started trying to walk away but Sam only finally stopped when she noticed me leaning on a wall after a while. The first dress I tried on looked really bad, it wasn't really my style or size, but it was also damaged pretty badly (every dress I tried on had some type of noticeable damage or weird staining). My family agreed and were like okay maybe next one, but Sam suddenly reappeared & started trying to sell me on something that obviously none of us were happy with. I wanted to try on another one but I didn't know what to do since there was nothing that fit me & nothing that I had picked out. My stepmom, bless her, went back to the hangers to try and bring me things herself. Sam started walking with her, and then started talking badly about me to my stepmom! Saying that I was giving her nothing to work with and I had no idea what I had actually picked and hadn't. My stepmom found some dresses that were my 3 favorite out of everything I tried, they were very simple but so pretty! When my family & I were talking about them, Sam was saying things like "no. no I'm not feeling it, it needs something" and then covering me in glitter belts and sparkly crowns and veils and etc. I told her several several times that after trying a couple dresses, sparkles and glitter weren't really for me. She would not hear it. She was literally going so far as to get up in my scalp and push my hair around (after I asked her not to, I don't really want a stranger up in my hair). She was not afraid of forced familiarity though; she was constantly called me and my sister weird nicknames, it was so uncomfortable. Sam came back with a dress that she was 'sure I would like'. It was very princess-y, covered in sparkles, and glitter, I mentioned again that I was really only liking the simple ones so far, but she pushed it and I tried it on because 'you never know' I guess. It was absolutely the most revealing dress I tried on; I'm not super conservative but I had mentioned I didn't want everything out there on my wedding day. This was insane. Sam said "you look like Jessica rabbit!" as if that was a good thing? My family was dying laughing at this point at how obtuse she was being. I told her straight up "I hate this" and she quickly responded "no you don't." I thought my sister was gonna start throwing hands at this point, me and my stepmoms jaws just dropped. Every time Sam spoke it was either incredibly obtuse, offensive, or another instance of pulling someone aside to talk shit about them (this happened about 12 more times than I even mentioned here). I had made an appointment in advance, as the website advises you to do, since my daughter was flying in just for the weekend from Texas to find her perfect dress. We were kind of shuffled around when we walked in and were told to go through the dresses hanging up to see what we could find. Earlier in the day, we were at another bridal shop that had fantastic service, and he consultant there selected several gowns for her to try on after asking her a bunch of questions to get an idea of what she was looking for. When the salesperson finally came over, she asked my daughter a couple of questions and of the four dresses my daughter picked out to try, only 2 of them were available for her to try on. "Similar" styles were pulled for the other one. Our salesperson kept disappearing to help a walk-in couple that came in after us. For the first dress we tried on, it was way too big and I had to flag down another employee walking by to see if we could borrow some of her clips to fit the dress. Our sales person eventually came back and was gone again within a couple of minutes. After the third dress, we didn't see her again. We were very disappointed with our experience here. What was supposed to be a special event with her mom, grandmother, and bridesmaids, turned out to be an hour that she'll never get back. What is the point of making an appointment if you don't get the personal service you need when you're making an important and expensive purchase like a wedding dress? read more

I love coming here! First let me say that the ladies here absolutely love and spoil my son! I love that coming here with your children/family is welcome here with open arms. I didn't buy my wedding gown here, however I bought a bridal gown here to use for my engagement photo session. I found a lot of dresses that I like. My consultant, Ericka was very patient and efficient in finding them all in the appropriate size. I came in on a Sunday at lunchtime, so it was pretty chaotic. In addition to getting my engagement dress, the district manager Erin helped me choose accessories for my bridal gown. She was extremely professional and warm. Many months ago, I spoke to Jordan- although I regretfully forgot her name when I came in today- but she remembered me! She was very knowledgeable as well- and I'll be booking an appointment with her for my bridesmaids shopping experience. The entire staff here is so friendly. The absolute worst place you could come to get a dress, especially if you're in a bridal party. The staff are incredibly inefficient and rude, making this a frustrating experience. When we first came in, the bride told them the dress she had put in the system for the bridal party, and it wasn't in there. She fortunately had a picture and showed it to them so they could look it up, and they said it was in stock and in the color she wanted. 3 of the bridesmaids tried it on and we all fell in love with it. When we tried to pay, she told us it was no longer in stock in the sizes we needed. We went through a bunch of different colors and to the bride's dismay, none were available. We asked if this happens often and she said yes. How does anyone dress a bridal party if nothing is in stock? Another sales associate came up to us and told us the dress had been discontinued. This is something the original sales associate should've known when we first asked her. We then had to try on a bunch of other dresses and the sales associate didn't help us with the fitting room, just told us to go over and pick one. Upon doing so, yet ANOTHER sales associate was rude to us and said we shouldn't be going in like that, but fine, go ahead. The dressing rooms were a mess. It was impossible to open the doors because there were so many dresses left in them. Everyone seemed to be moving in slow motion. Don't waste your time here, it'll ruin the experience. read more

If I could give this store zero stars I would. I booked an appointment online months ahead of time and had a horrible experience. My consultant was horrible. I found my dream dress and the consultant dragged it on the floor, so I asked her to order a new dress. She stated that she would clean the "stain" she noticed and I stated that I wanted a new dress. She said that she would ship the new dress to my house. A week later a stained and used dress arrived at my house. I called the Nashua store the manager hung up on me. I called back and Wendy stated that I could return the dress but they can not order me a new one. She didn't apologize or do anything to make the situation right. I paid for a used dress that has makeup stains on it. She told me I had to return it in four days or I would own it (as the return policy is seven days). I should've spent my money elsewhere. Update, Can't believe my experience got worse. They know me when I walk into the store now as well- you'd think they'd make an extra bit of an effort. My awesome experience w/ David's Bridal is as follows- I buy a dress and order it new. It comes in in the wrong size. I wait longer for a 2nd dress. It comes in w/ a big pull in the chiffon right in the middle of the chest. I speak to a manager. They let me return it (since I never actually had the dress in my possession) and buy a new one. I find one I love. I buy it and take it home, even though it's dirty, has a button loop that is broken and may threads hanging off it. They let me know that I bring it back and they make it perfect. I bring it back, but decide to have the alteration for the bussle done somewhere else. I told them I just need the button loop fixed, a bead and thread check and it cleaned and steamed. They said it'll take 2 weeks.... so I wait. I picked up my dress yesterday. I brought it to the seamstress and tried on the dress for the first time since I bought it- after it was supposed to be all cleaned and fixed. The loop was fixed, but there was a ring around the collar stain (so it wasn't cleaned), there were threads hanging everywhere, and the seamstress said there are loose beads. What in the world were they doing for two weeks?!? Why did they tell me that's what they would do if they weren't going to do it?! Why did they let me pay $850.00 for a busted dress? Everyone at the Nashua, NH store is nice, but it really doesn't matter if they don't do what they say they'll do. I've been waiting for over an hour for a call back from the Alternation manager. The person I spoke with said there really wasn't much they could do... I'm not bringing my dress back to them again so they can mess it up even more. I'm getting married in 3 freaking weeks.
